"Dance as if no one were watching, Sing as if no one were listening, and Live everyday as if it were your last."

Welcome to Haley's Web Page. It has been provided to keep people updated on her progress. Haley is now 12 years old, her birthdate is April 10, 1993 and she was diagnosed with Stage IV Favorable Wilm's Tumor on Tuesday August 19th, 2003. Shortly after starting Chemo to fight the cancer(September), Haley had trouble with her legs hurting & was admitted for the formation of blood clots in both legs(the left one all the way to her ankle). She has since than taken 2 daily shots to control the thickness of her blood. After undergoing Chemo treatment & receiving scan results we were told that the Chemo was not working & the cancer was still growing. She next started a stronger round of Chemo and was finally able to have surgery(10+ hours long) to remove her right kidney & clear her Vena Cava from tumor & blood clot on Monday March 15th(her cancer at original diagnosis was found in her right kidney, both lungs, liver, lymph nodes & vena cava). On Friday July 23, 2004-Haley had a CT & MRI's of her brain(after stating that she had a headache & continued to vomit several times in the morning) she underwent brain surgery on Monday July 26th to remove the golf ball size tumor located in her Cerebellum. There are 2 other spots located out there that they will watch through scans & possibly treat seperate with Gamma Knife radiation.

November 5th 2004, follow up scans showed that there is still a spot on Haley's brain that they will need to remove as well they have now found a spot located on her spine. Scans on December 1st will give the Doctors the understanding of what direction we head in next.

Well it happened again on December 1st...another Relapse!! Haley's scans showed that there are new spots on both lungs and Lymph nodes that are enlarged, as well there is a spot located in the area where they removed her right kidney. As for the brain spots(they look as if they are getting smaller-they will leave alone for now). The spot on her spine seems to have maybe spread to the bone, we will be doing a biopsy of this soon. Haley started the next chapter of her fight with cancer by being treated at St Jude in Memphis TN in February 2005. Haley's treatment & Miracle in Memphis was ended short when one of the tumors in her brain bled, leading her to lose control of the use of her right hand(she did prove them wrong & regained the use of her hand-by continuing to work hard at this). Treatment was no longer to happen at St. Jude, we are now back in Omaha receiving full brain radiation again, since the most recent MRI showed several(as many as 12)new spots. As of April 28th Haley began treatment in Mexico. Came home in May for the last day of school and won her battle with this terrible disease on Tuesday June 21st, 2005. We LOVE you babygirl

Thanks for visiting our page and don't forget to sign her guestbook!!

Let the world stop turning,

let them tell me love's not worth going through.
If is all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart,

I would like to take a few minutes to wish all those Father's out there Happy Father's Day-extra hugs to those who don't have there sweet child to hug.

Sorry for the lack of updating, computers troubles, emotions etc. Since Haley's birthday, we have been faced with all those memories-last day of school, next grade, our trip to Mexico, special visits with friends, Mother's Day, the storms and now this month JUNE. The walk was good-Haley's Helping Hands put there table together again & we kept busy over there, so much I didn't get to see very many families that I wanted to. We released a sweet balloon for our Angels on that day-that was hard.

We have kept it kinda low key, because we have so many neighbor kids, but we do have babies....Daisy had 9 baby puppies-they are the cutest little things. We will get pictures out here soon.

Father's Day was the last holiday we spent together and was just the day & 1/2 before Haley earned her wings. I miss my sweet 15 year old daughter so bad. I think I'm going to get together with her friends and watch some videos, look at pictures and just cry. Those 10th grade girls are getting so grown up....I love those girls and I love to be around them-it hurts at times, because I know that Haley would be having so much fun with them-I know that she spends tons of time looking over them.

Hanna is busy babysitting and taking care of her new puppies. She is growing up so much, she is so strong!

As I type, the radio is playing "I can only Imagine"....well as the tears roll down my face, I will leave you all on that note....

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE....hold those children tight, love everyday and never regret...what IF !!

Heavenly Hugs
Angel Haley's family forever
