My son Jacob has stugled since he was 3 years old with seizures. We have tried almost every medication and even surgery to help. His surgery was last July. Since November he has done somewhat better but continues to stuggle with things like memory, temp control, heartrate, labored breathing ect.
I just found your website journey for jess and am very inspired! Thank you for turning your grief into a cause and for being such an inspiration! God bless you!

I was thinking of you and the family yesterday, and was angry at myself for not sending the card I have on my counter! You will be getting it. It's so hard to believe when the time comes that your baby is older and is celebrating without you. I always think they are lucky because they can celebrate with Jesus and have every need filled. That thought does help me when November rolls around (Hope's birthday). Anyway, many blessings and caring thoughts are being sent your way.

Kathy,
Thank you for visiting our CB site today. Sweet Jess Marie will always hold a very special place in my heart for I know that she and William made their trip to heaven together, hand in hand. I think of you all often, especially at milestones and anniversaries. Sometimes I'll realize it's the 18th of the month and I'll quickly count back to see how long its been. Then I think maybe you're doing the same thing. I hope time has eased some of the sting and that you can think of Jess Marie with many beautiful and happy memories. I will always think of you.

WOW! I was at my new nephew's baptism on Sunday. While it was beautiful and he was handsome as I could have ever imagined, my mind drifted to parents and children whom I have met in the past few years. Yes, your sweet Jess, came to mind. As did, Drew, Muffin, Kylie, Caroline, & Reese. No matter what life brings, I shall never, ever forget the children and the parents who have touched my life. In one way or another, your little Jess has touched my heart. I will never, ever forget her, never. I will continue to pray for you, Amy, Jason & Noah. Praying for peace and for God to grant you with what you are needing at each moment of my prayers.
Loving you always, forgetting never.

It has been over a month since I have checked on you guys, but you are always close in my heart. It is becoming more and more evident that Jess and Jacqui's little Oscar were made from similar molds- every time Jac sends me a new pic of him, I see Jess and I think of the love you have for her and how much you miss her beauty and smile, those big brown eyes and her angel hair! Such a beauty!
I want you tell you too that Jess has someone new in her life. My friend whose name is Donna, has gone to share her love for all the little children with Jesus. On earth she did it too, but now I believe she is making it her full time job. Even though she and Jess never met on earth, she followed Jess' story through caringbridge. Now they have found each other in heaven. Neither of them feeling pain, only love and peace. Donna had a special gift with kids, and she is right there by Jess, I just know it! Continued prayers for healing and strength for you both and Noah. We are reminded how special he is too. We ask God to help him cope with his challenges and that your love and caring for him will be a blessing for you all.

I have to agree Jess is definitely Ky's guardian angel. Do you realize that since Jess has been gone Ky has only had one admission to the hospital? And this is a kiddo who spent nearly every admission w/ Jess by her side, plus multiple other admissions. We were always in the hospital. And even though Ky was only 2 when Jess died, she still says her name whenever she sees her picture and always climbs up to the computer and says, "Watch Jess"- she wants to see her CB site. =) Your family is so completely special to us and although I wish we could've met a different way, you are all one of the best things that have come out of Ky being sick. We are still working on Ava understanding that Amy is Jess's mommy and not Jesus, but we are about ready to give up. I think Amy will always be "Jesus" in Ava's eye! Love you all so much~ Maria, Neil, Ky and Ava

O... Amy,
I think of you guys so often, in fact there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think of you.
Olivia talks almost at every meal about her friend Jess, she sits in a spot where she can see Jess's picture on our fridge. So she looks at her and talks how she cant wait to see her in heaven one day.
What an awesome day that will be! I wish I had the right words or could take your pain away. But there are none and I know I cant take the pain away. Only the Lord can and time will ease the pain some.
We love you so much! Give Noah a BIG HUG from us. It was so good to see you guys at the stroll, or as mom called it the run, hahaha.

Hi guys - Just a quick hello. The kids have missed seeing you all in church. Last Sunday Landon thought we were in the "wrong spot". When I asked him why, he said cuz Noah wasn't "in back of him".

You are always in our prayers. That God gives you whatever it is you may need to help you through each new day.

Have a good weekend - stay cool.

Amy, Jason & Noah,

Thinking of you and knowing that this past week was filled with many mixed emotions and the " 1 year" tag. Knowing that no matter how many, every year without sweet Jess, she will be as missed as if it were the first. The world goes so fast, I wish we all could slow it down and take a chance to truely enjoy each moment, truely. We think of you daily and Amy, I do hope you shared my story of Jess with Jason. I have repeatedly played the events in my head and I am sure she was making sure I knew she wanted her balloon. She will never have to worry as my boys love balloons as well and we will continue to bring our Jess a pretty balloon after our grocery runs. Have a wonderful time together and We look forward to having Noah come for the birthdays. Take Care, Hugs, Love, and Prayers for strenghth each day.

Amy,
You were the first person I thought of this morning when I woke up feeling sad about our William. I knew you were also waking up feeling sad and missing your sweet Jess Marie. I was shocked that you remembered too when I saw your signature in our guestbook. We are bonded by our children's anniversary. Without you even saying a word, I know just how hard this year has been. I think of you often and pray to your Sugar Bear. She is adorable and I know how much you miss her. Lots of love!!

Dear Jason and family,
I have followed Jess's Journey for quite awhile now, at least the last two years, since I met Maria and Jim and Eileen at the National TSC family conference in '06. I don't know if I have signed your guestbook often, but I really wanted to thank you, from the bottom of my heart for what you are doing, not only to honor sweet Jess's life, but to raise awareness and funds for TSC and seizures. My daughter Avery is 2 and 1/2 has TS and has suffered from seizures since she was four months old. I wept the entire day your sweet Jess earned her angel wings. I still miss that little picture of her sitting on her bed looking so sweet, so I can't imagine the huge hole in your hearts.

Again, thank you for what you are doing. I will be sending out lots of emails to my friends and family and include the link to the journeyforjess website on Avery's CarePage if that's o.k.

You are an amazing family. God bless you.

Sincerely,

Amy, Jason & Noah,

I love the peanut butter princess picture. We think of sweet Jess daily. We love to play in sand, go down the slide and ride in the coupe. It brings us many giggles and we thank Jess for everyone. Just know that she lives on in our everyday play and that she is in conversation and prayers. We even pick up a pretty every once in while to bring out to her and share some McDonald's fries. I think the birds are taking a liking to seeing the big Suburban show up. We love you all and are working on a print for the BBB event. Take Care,

Amy

she's not the only one! i like peanut butter too! we could have eaten some together! well, i had been a cutter for almost a year and i have been in therapy for almost a year also. but, that's not what i'm going to explain. watching jess having all the strength she had at a young age i knew i could do the same. she was my inspiration! i have a planner with a spot for a picture and she is right on the front! i see her face everyday and miss her! some nights i cry and wonder why God did that. but i know he had her sent for a purpose. the purpose was to show us to enjoy life no matter how bad it gets and live it to the fullest EVERY DAY! part of me wishes she were still alive but yet, part of me doesn't. now she isn't fighting and if she was still alive how would she be my guardian angel? i pray for u every night and about at the end of my prayers i always say "say hi to my guardian angel jess, i hope she is having fun and that we will all see her again one day!" God bless all of you!

I come to your site a gazillion times , never really knowing what to say . I just end up praying ,thinking and meditating. I flip flopped tonite over to the JFJ site ...and something just 'clicked.'

It finally dawned on me why Jess immediately stole our hearts and there was such an instant connection....

PEANUT BUTTER !!!!

Elijah only eats about 5 foods . To him , peanut butter IS one of the major food groups !

So now I know ^Jess^ is behind all these late night runs to the grocery store ! Secretly whispering "Jif" and "Peter Pan" in Elijah's ears !! It all makes perfect sense now .

Please know that you are ALWAYS in my thoughts and prayers . Precious Sweet ^Jess^ has truly touched this life in a way that can't be explained .

Happy April! I was moved when I read on Caroline's site that her are Jess are together again. I am sure the kids in the library were wondering why I had tears. You both are such AMAZING families and I am so blessed to have had a window into your worlds.
As always, hugs to all!! God Bless.

Dear Beechers,

Just wanted to let you know I think of your sweet Jess often, and include her (and you) in her prayers each night.

I am sure she was among the first to greet her friend Caroline when she entered the gates of Heaven.

I bet you Jess is so proud of you for Journey for Jess. I will be checking it out thoroughly and supporting you -- it is the least I can do, except to say, I remember.....

Most sincerely yours,

Thinking of Jess tonight, hoping that she is there to welcome Caroline and show her the way. I think of Jess often, I have a family picture of you guys from Noah's Kindergarten program and I have such good intentions of sending it to you but I love looking at her face each day. I know that Jess and Ariana are helping Caroline to find all the really girly things to do, singing and dancing.

Dear Amy and Jason,
Lisa gave me our T-shirts the other day in church and I can't wait to wear them. Morgan and Riley are excited, too. I check on Caroline Ruby everyday and my heart goes out to her family. I had a candle lit on my island tonight. My thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone who is going through this rough time with Caroline. Jess will soon have another angel to play with.
Think of you on this day and always.

Thinking of you today as when I was at the Family Christian Store a lady had a book I read, Heaven, and I told her A little bit about it. She said that she was going to give it to her friend whose grandson had just died tragically in a 4 wheeler accident. We chatted a little, told her i had lost a child, and that the best thing to do is not to forget the person, the child, and to believe in Faith, Hope, and Love! My mind shifted to you, too, as your faith and knowledge that Heaven is a glorious place brings you comfort while still missing Jess! I always know that Hope's heart and lungs are totally perfect and she can run anywhere in Heaven. Both our girls are healthy and with Jesus. Lucky them!

Love ya, Michelle

Jess,
I brought you some flowers. The weather was a bit too cold for the real ones, so the boys picked out some fun ones. They point to your picture on the fridge and can now officially say, "Jess" That's a big deal remember how excited I got when you said "Amy". I know that's your mommy's name too, but you sure made me feel special. We think of you often and will continue to shout out our "Hello!" Have a Happy Spring little Princess!

Amy and Jason,
I am finally getting around to looking, I mean really looking at the site. www.journeyforjess is amazing. I know that little girl looks down on you more than you know and admires all you do for her. You are wonderful and strong people. I admire you for your strength and your drive to make Jess's life live on. To all of us that know her. She is a blessing and she is MISSED by many.

I never miss a HI! Jess when I drive across to Moorhead. It has become so that Sadie and the boys are ready for it when we approach the bridge.

I miss working with you Amy and look forward to spending June 15th at Living Water with your family.

Oh my gosh - what a great picture!! Your sweet girl will never be forgotten. She and your entire family are thought about and prayed for daily by all of us who care so much about you.

That thinking to much thing has its good days and bad days (at least that's my experience). If Journey for Jess is the result of thinking too much - then it's a very good thing.

Stay warm. See you in church.

Thinking of you all today, knowing it has to be such a tough one. The pic is so cute, I would like to pretend she is with you physically, celebrating with Noah, her friends, and grandparents. But we have to believe she is in a better place and we know she in the hearts of so many she captured.
Thanks for continuing to share her with us. Loving a child from near or far is a great gift from God.

Happiest Birthday Jess! I just KNOW that you are having a birthday party that no one on earth could even imagine! We share the same birthday....perhaps that is why I felt a connection to you immediately...but, probably it was because you are SO DARN CUTE! Who wouldn't fall in love with you?!

Whoop it up with all your very special friends above and be sure to send some of your love down here to your family that misses and loves you so much!

Dear Amy,Jason and Noah,
It was a year ago tomorrow that I met your beautiful angel and she changed my life forever. I have thought a lot about her lately knowing that her birthday was coming I miss her so much. I know I shouldn't even say that to you. I went to see Jess over Christmas break and I talked a lot to her about you guys and her big brother Noah and about how much she is missed, but also about what a blast she is having there. I can just see her playing with all her friends. I know tomorrow is going to be a hard day. We will all be praying for you.

Happy Birthday sweet Jess...your little princess is watching Dora, eating cake and giggling with you today, but most importantly she is loving you and hugging you. God bless you all on this memorable day. My thoughts continue to be with you.

Beecher's....I so remember 4 years ago tomorrow....Sweet Jess was born. I remember being at Tricia and Darick's with Olivia....we anxiously were awaiting the birth of Jess. We have heavy heavy hearts today knowing that the toughest "first" may be tomorrow. We pray Jesus cradles all of you...Jason, Amy, Noah, Grandpas and Grandmas, Aunties and Uncles and cousins, in His mighty and powerful arms as you revisit that memory. Oh Jesus, please make Jess's birthday extra extra special tomorrow....she is an extra extra special little girl....Thank you Jesus!! Love you all and will hold you in prayer and we pray that you will remember her moochies, her smell, her laugh, her cry, her smiles, her touch, and her cuddles even stronger tomorrow....Auntie P and Uncle T

Hello Beechers. I don't write often enough, but wanted to tell you that there's not a day that passes that I don't think of you and Jess. I check her site every day to see how you are doing. I'm sure it's tough - but I have to say I really appreciate that you still update her page so everyone can check in on you. Looking forward to hearing details of her journey and how, in some small way, we can help. Take care.
