Welcome Family & Friends to Brooke's new webpage. The time had come for another change, and so here we go. I thank each and every one of you for all you do/have done for us...couldn't raise "our barn" without you...wow, Pat Lang, can you ever hit a homerun! I will explain soon...I am slowly learning to use the caringbridge features and hope you will enjoy the journals to come...

"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."
-David Viscott

Oh, my goodness! It has been such a long, long time, hasn't it? I can't even begin to try & type in all that's happened since the last entry! So, I'll begin by saying that Brooke is doing great and looks fabulous! She just turned 16 on July 25th! It's funny, isn't it? Especially when you think about all that she's gone through and now BOOM! Here she is almost grown up!

We are now living in Chaska, MN as of Nov. of 2006. She had a bout of rejection and the MPGN II has recurred in the transplanted kidney. But...she did so much better this time around! Her primary peds neph is now Dr. Lydia Najera as Dr. Ingulli moved to California. We miss her but wish her all the best.

Right now Brooke is getting plasma twice a week - it's a long, complicated story. Suffice it to say that it is working to help save this kidney. Did I mention she looks great? :) She will be a JR. this school year! She continues to be an avid reader and still loves art. We spend a lot of time with the Lang ladies as we are neighbors. When we decided to move to MN, we chose Chaska to be near them so we wouldn't feel so alone. Pat says, "Of course...why would you go anywhere else???" She is a gem. Please pray for her and her girls. Maddie recently had surgery and extra prayers can only help! Her caringbridge link is here should anyone want to say hi.

Eastman is doing good. He graduated from HS this past May and is planning on going to college in Bismarck, ND. He is leaning towards sports journalism which will fit him to a tee! We love him and miss him. Britt is all grown up and living in Grand Forks, ND. I am now a grandmother of 3! Two girls and a boy. I absolutely love them.

Well, I hope you are all doing great and are in good health. Take care & God Bless!

Donna
