Hi. My name is Amanda and I have a daughter with an Urea Cycle disorder. She is 3 and we didn't catch her UCD til she was 15 months old. Her amino acids are severly low and her doc has put her on Prophree. She has been on Buphenyl for a couple years now and I am able to get 5 tabs twice a day in her. I am having problems getting her to take her Prophree and it is a MUST for her to take 3 tbsp in 6 oz of liquid. Any suggestions?

Hi. I am Joshua Ray's mom. I spoke with you when Joshua was first diagnosed with Citrullinemia and we were deciding what to do about having a transplant. I thought I would check your site to see how Savannah is doing. I hope that she's doing well. I just wanted to check in because we've been thinking about her a lot lately. I hope all is well! Josh is 2 years old now and is 1 year and 1 month out from his transplant. He's doing well. We had a few bumps along the way but nothing too major. He actually broke his arm yesterday toddling around and they said that the prednisone he's been taking may have caused his bones to be a little more likely to break. I don't even really know what to say other than the truth. I orignally found your story through Jay when he had his blog (http://right-brained.blogspot.com/). I found it odd at the time because my name is Jasmine (his wife's name) and at the time she was pregnant with their twins, my sister was pregnant with her twin boys. I also believe that Jay and Jasmine and I all live in the same area. We have never met, but I feel strongly that we live in the same area. As I found your story again via Google, I am struck again by some sense of...I'm not sure what to call it. As I read through your story again, I wa surprised again by another connection. I have known your daughter is named Savannah since I first found your story. I have a 15 1/2 month old little girl named Savannah. Stranger still is the fact that our last name is Avery and your donor's name was Avery. I don't know what it means, but I find it very overwhelming that I have found your story again after all this time (Jay quit blogging awhile ago) and we seem so connected. I don't believe in coincidences. God works in mysterious ways.
