Catherine Elizabeth Tuggle,
better known as "Libby"
was diagnosed with ALL
on January 2nd 2004.


It started two weeks before Christmas with a fever and night sweats. I thought that she had the flu. The fever would go away and then return again a couple of days later. December 31st we took her to the hospital, they transferred her to UNC Hospital where we were
told that my daughter had cancer.



My daughter Libby loves pink and Polly Pocket.
Her favorite cartoon is Dora the Explorer.
She has two brothers Mikey 6 and Amir 7 months.

My daughter Libby is my Hero.

** NOVEMBER 15th 2005 WE FOUND OUT LIBBY RELAPSED IN HER CNS. WE HAVE ALREADY STARTED THE RELAPSE PROTOCOL.

Greetings,

Apparently we have been lost in space b/c it has been two months since the last update and I wasn't even aware of that.

The great news is that Libby is doing awesome and we haven't been to clinic much since we're in Long Term Maintenance. However, she does have a standard Spinal this coming Tuesday. Dr. Blatt is debating on whether or not to actually dose the spine. The reason is that she is uncertain on if it's necessary due to the radiation already taking care of her CNS. I suppose it's a "game-time decision". Since we trust her judgement, I'll feel comfortable on whatever she chooses.

I do expect Libby's counts to be down now, since she's been taking 6MP every night. She's been as energetic as she's ever been and her hair is growing in so nicely, she looks like a fairy princess with her pixie hair-do.

I won't make any promises on updating soon, b/c before you know it, it will be Christmas!!
