Christina (our only child) was diagnosed with infantile Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) with 11q23 chromosome rearrangement at her 11.5 month age (Jan 9th, 2003). In April 2003, she had a cord blood transplant at Duke Univ Hospital (pediatric bone marrow transplant program) when she was in her first remission. So far she is doing well. This site is to keep our friends updated about Christina.

Hi,
We apologize for not being update for so long. But believe us we do miss our old friends and families. I put a few recent pictures to show you Christina is doing well and thank you. You can see she is not a baby any more, but a young girl.
We feel she grows up since the day she has her own mind on what clothes she is going to wear. She starts exchanging gift with her school friends. She will close the door and ask mom "no peak" whenever she is on potty. Though she still keeps asking mom for stories, she now can tell a story for her own 'baby'.
There is no better feeling than seeing her happy. One time mom asked, can she stay as it is and not grow anymore? She is still a brave girl; she didn't even cry when she had the flu shot.
She is as normal as other kids, which is the only thing in this world we have been asking for. Thank you for coming by.
Happy holidays!
