Welcome to our Little Ellie Anna's Web Page. It has been provided to keep people updated about Ellie Anna's Wilms Cancer Treatment. Ellie Anna was diagnosed in June 2004 with Wilms Stage 1 cancer in her left Kidney. In August they removed her Left Kidney and the tumor broke open into her internal cavity elevating her to stage 3 with Favorable Histology. In October she was diagnosed with VOD or Veno Occlusive Disease and Her Kidney and Liver began to shut down. She was sent to ICU twice in October when she stopped breathing as a result of the toxicity in her system. On November 5th she overcame all odds and was released from the hospital to return to home to Montana with her family. She will fly back to Phoenix Childrens Hospital for her last five chemo treatments. Her last chemo treatment was on Feb, 7, 2005 and she is now in Remission!

On February, 4th 2006 Ellie Anna was Diagnosed with Symptomatic Complex Partial Seizure Disorder with Mild Tonic Clonic Tendency or a rare combination of disorders that fall under the name Epilepsy. She has deep damage to the right frontal lobe of her brain and in areas of he cerebellum. The Damage is consistent with oxygen deprivation. Ellie Anna stopped breathing twice in October of 2004 when the Chemo, Veno Occlusive disease and blood poisoning caught up with her. Although the medical team was quick to respond, the damage was done and it is permanent. She is a fighter and Her strength and your prayers continue to make the difference in her life.

Dear Friends,

So… we have been dealing with the after effects of the brain damage and seizures. Ellie is now 7 years old and growing every day. At any moment of the day you can hear her quote one of the 100 Dalmatians by saying “I’m hungry momma… I’m hungry”

Tonight Chloe and Ellie Anna headed to Missoula under the recommendation of her new Neuropsychologist to have a sleep study. She is snoring every night and waking up many times in the night to raid the refrigerator. She is on a gluten and casein free diet, so she goes strait to the cheese and bread. Her behavior changes for the worst when she eats the improper food. So… We are praying for any answers that can calm her frustrations.

Please pray for her, as well as wisdom for the doctors. She will have stuff attached to her head tonight for the study, and it is a little hard to communicate all of these things to her. Pray that she is calm and accepting.

Chloe and I value your continued prayers… Seriously! We would not be able to function if not for the grace of God in our lives.

Scott
