Cindy's page :-)

Welcome to Cindy's Page. We are so grateful for this wonderful site to let people see Cindy's progress after her spinal fusion. Thank you for all our your thoughts and prayers! Here is a picture of me at graduation when I got a standing ovation. Look inside for more pictures and links to other places...

Journal

It was seven years ago today that we said our last goodbye to Cindy. It is so hard to believe it has actually been 7 years. In so many ways her spirit is with us just a strongly now as it was then, maybe even stronger. One thing is for sure, we admire and respect her for her strength that she drew from God like no one we have ever known. That is the greatest gift she left for her sister, Nichole.

Cindy and Nichole were so different in so many ways, yet we have seen Nichole blossom into her own person that contains the same strength she draws from her faith in her constant walk with God. Not only daily, but hourly – if not more.

Cindy's life had such an incredible impact on so many people. Fortunately, it is something they will never forget. Along with Nichole, it cannot be felt more strongly than by Valerie and me. What an amazing young woman she was!

So, today we will celebrate a wonderful gift from God that we had with us for as long as we did. I hope that all of you will look back just as fondly on the times that you had with her. We smile whenever we think about her. We enjoy every beautiful memory. And we treasure the timeless photographs that we are so grateful to have. Oh, we do miss her terribly! But it is truly possible to miss her physical presence and yet rejoice in still maintaining that spiritual bond that we all have. What a joy!

We would love for all of you to take a few minutes and remember her in whatever way you do. I can assure you, you'll feel much better after you do. It's just one of those ways she touched everyone she came in contact with. And yes, it's okay to shed a tear or two. I still do every now and then. But then I know she is experiencing the most incredible joy in heaven, where we know there are no more tears!

With all of our love!
Doug, Valerie and Nichole
