Tom Jackson

Welcome to our Patient Web Page. It has been provided to keep people updated.

Journal

Wednesday, August 6, 2003 10:02 PM CDT

We've always had trouble giving bad reports. Tom passed away Wednesday morning. Tuesday his responses were basically through eye contact, but by the late evening he wasn't responding at all. We were informed that his kidney and liver were giving out, and the fungus that was in his lung had spread to his brain. But we don't believe he was in any pain.

He passed away around eight o'clock this morning.

He had been upbeat through his transplant and following months. We will miss him always and hope we can keep direction in our lives without him to help guide us.

There will be a visitation for Tom on Friday night and memorial service on Saturday. For information about the services please see Thursday or Friday's St. Louis Post-Dispatch or email cjj@umr.edu.

Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout this ordeal.
