Kenny lives with multiple malignant brain tumors. He goes to school, laughs, play his songs his way on his piano and will make you smile too. Since the diagnosis of the first optic nerve tumor in January 2000, he also lives with hypernatremia, epilepsy and multiple slow-growing tumors on the brain stem. He lost his sight at age 7 due to the optic nerve tumor and the subsequent treatments to reduce the tumor's size.

Kenny is doing very well at home. He wears a brace whenever he is out of bed, and we're all learning to strap it on better with every attempt. He is not aware of his condition, and doesn't consider the brace a hardship. We call it his armor, and he's learning that he can't get out of bed without his armor on. He will wear the brace for six months to a year.

Kenny wowed the doctors in ICU at how quickly he wanted to get out of bed, sit up, and EAT. He hasn't slowed down since.
