Judy

I have only just realised that you have passed and I can't tell you how sorry I am. Your humour and courage was inspiring and as we both approached our stem cell transplants I felt a special bond between us. As you know I'm not a religious person but I know you are and I hope God is taking care of you.

God Bless

Sharon

My friend, you will live in my heart forever;for your tenacity, your humor, your courage, your love for your family and friends, you will be greatly missed. Sleep in peace, your suffering and labors have ended. May God keep you in His Hand and that you smell and see the beauties of His Garden. We will meet again. Your memory is my blessing.

I met Judy when we worked for SSM together. What an amazing co-worker! Judy was such a funny, caring person who loved her family SO much! I heard so many stories about all of them I felt like I knew them myself. She was a pillar of strength; it's only fitting she beat cancer in the end. My heart goes out to your family Judy; the world has lost a very special person, but at least we can be comforted with the knowledge that you are in a better place where there is no pain or suffering. I love you! Hopefully we'll meet again some day!

I met Judy online and what a blessing. I remember driving to Springfield to meet her. I will never forget that day. I was so blessed to have her as a friend. Her spunk and wisdom will stay with me for ever. She was a fighter.
You might never know how many she helped who had lymphoma..but there is a huge ripple out there happening for all of those she happened. It reachs so far its amazing.
I will take her with me where ever I go and in the fight.
I am praying God encircles all of you at this time. Sending prayers and thoughts Kerry

Good morning, Judy:

I periodically check on your progress with our friends online. I'm told you're doing better slowly but surely and have been thrilled with that news. I look forward to seeing you back to your old self and online soon. In the meantime, take care, do what your body (and the docs) tell you to do and keep up the good fight. I always tell people these transplants are NOT for whimps and you sure are proof of that.

Hugs,

Checking in to see how you are! Sounds like things are going well as planned. If you need to wear a mask in the hall, I think you should at least jazz it up. Maybe some sequins or feathers. Something to match your style!. Or if you want to get some interesting looks, draw a mustache on it. Go stem cells! Go! Do your thing!

Dear Aunt Judy,
At first sight of those paws on your siding, Oh My, I thought it could be the Piasa Bird. Those tracks looked alot like minature dinosaur prints. I thought maybe it came from the caves by the river to chase out your critter or to remind us it is still around chasing women with papooses. My history teacher used to sing about it in high school. 'I recall a hairrasing story about a bird when I was just a boy, about a town near old St. Louis(y), in a little town called Alton Illinois. Lookie out Lookie out all the children would shout, My oh my what a horrible sight'Quiet papoose here comes the Piasa Bird'.." Let us know what you find out. Maybe, you need to have a DIG in your backyard for more evidence, the past seems to hold the future.....
I love you Aunt Judy,
Keep making us laugh...and cry.

As always it was nice having a chat with you this morning. I was so glad to hear (and read in your journal) that you're having a somewhat better day today. Here's hoping your days continue to improve until your transplant to make it an easier journey for you. I'll continue to pray for you and keep in touch.

Dear Mrs O, It has been brought to our attention that you have had an invasion of sorts that is keeping you from getting PEACE and QUIET. We have just the thing for you! You , and I can tell from your frantic plea, need a Resident Alien. We have many here for you. They will rid your property of pesty little critters, nosey noisemakers, seed snatchers, and the worst of the plastic eaters and syrup suckers! We are dispatching to you as soon as possible(once we convince a volunteer) our treasured Captain Catcher,Charlie Coyotee. He will literally chew our those pests and you will have only fire flies to flit around your beautiful garden, siding and garbage cans quietly dancing in the moonlight. The only thing you must remember to do is not leave your small pets or children out at night as he does not discriminate about those who invade his established territory. As I am sure you have seen on a recent newscast, only when he has cleared out a neighborhood, does he wander further into residential neighborhoods and delis in search of tasty morsals or mortals for correction. Recent newcasts have portrayed him as lost in a deli in Chicago and yes it was his dim-witted cousin Carl, who crawled into the beer cooler in search of an open cold one on that hot day. We have hence sent Carl out to the farm where he can join his friends in greener pastures. It will be our udder-most intent to find a frisky young one to take his place and head south in your direction, as we know you are in need. Sincerely, Buffalo Beulah, Adminstrative Assistant to the BIG ONE

Dear Judy, I finally was able to get to your guestbook. I am somewhat of a computer illiterate. We're not going to make it to St. Louis this summer. Lloyd had some serious emergency surgery on March 11 and now has a colostomy. He hopes to get it reversed possible in July??? You are one terrific person and what a fighter. You certainly are a real inspiration to everyone whose life you touch. I agree with all the comments which friends have written. I, too, believe you should be a "writer". You should put all your thoughts and letters into a book, if you are not already doing that. Please keep up the good work. We are praying for God to heal you soon. Love to you. Lloyd and Loverne Holt

Hi Judy! You have just left my hospital room and I have been forced out of my room so that they can clean the walls and windows and such. I guess they do this every Monday and since I am Neutropenic I can't be in the room so, here I am.

It was such a blessing to visit with you and your daughter and the gift bag was a treat! I pray God blesses you on your journey still giving you strength, energy and your loving and awnry side intact!!!! They say the ones that can keep up good spirits and who walk and get out of the bed more often are the ones that recover quicker.....so walk, walk, walk!

Thanks again for visiting me. You blesses me greatly!

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

To the true love of my life: Friday, July 15th, 2005. Well the past 7 months HAVE been an experience. Let NO ONE reading this doubt the real power of prayer. All of my "Little Green Men" (my "brothers" in the Ancient Order of Hibernians) have and continue to pray for you. You, in the past 10 years have opened the door to a wonderful slice of heaven for me. I have NEVER known such love and happiness until I met you. I pray that we shal be blessed with another 50 years together. Anything less will not do.
I am constantly amazed at your resillance and strength. I am so very proud to be your husband, and your mate.

Hello, Judy --
I knew you in Junior High many years ago. I work with Nancy Smith who told me about your brave struggle. I understand, to some extent, what you are enduring as I lost my husband to kidney cancer over 12 years ago -- the years preceeding were the worst but, also, the best of our lives. As you have discovered, faith, family, and friends are the sustaining forces in this battle and are treasured gifts. Please know that you are in my prayers. I saw your name on SS Peter & Paul's prayer chain, but didn't make the connection until talking to Nancy. Many people you don't even know are praying for you. May God bless and heal you.

Judy when I was young I used to get cancer sores very badly. I mean the size of a nickel. I received a small pox vaccination because the doc said it was all part of the same family of viruses. Anyway, I found the over the counter pain relieving oral gels pretty helpful. They have even better stuff today. But of course I would ask the doc first because you never know if long term use would have any detrimental effects. P.S. So now you will hear from me via this web site and email at work. You will never get away from me. Dear Judy, There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said so I say "ditto" to everything. We've been together through a lot and used each other's shoulders whenever we needed them, we've always been there for each other and will continue to be. You know you are in my prayers as is your family. Asking God to support them through another "hump" in life. I truly think when you have "nothing to do" after this is all over, you should write a book. Others would be encouraged by your faith because nothing else could have gotten you through all that has happened in your life. I know things happen for a reason, hope this reason hurries up and becomes visible. I'm sorry you are in pain, lost your hair, etc. etc. Yes, that does mean the medication is doing its job but wish there was another way. Someday they will probably find it given all the research. Loved Jim's note, made me cry, how important he is to you at this time, so glad the two of you met.

Judy, I have known you since North Junior High, and you have always had a wonderful and very positive attitude. This will be one of the most important components of your success in beating Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have volunteered for American Cancer for the past six years, work with and have met many cancer survivors. Their stories are very important to me. Life is beautiful. Your family support is fantastic and that says a lot about the person you have always been. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

From high in the Colorado Rockies, know that you are loved, my sweet friend. I think of you every day and know that if anyone can beat this thing, it's you! I loved the pictures of the kids.........I barely recognized them. They grow up so fast....it's such an old clique, but it's true. You are with me always.

Judith Ann....
It looks to me like you got a whole big "fan club" goin' here. All the entries are just a testament to your strength and positive attitude. You're like the "UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN"...and each of the entries before mine attest to that.

I want everyone to know that, even though this woman is fighting this battle with lymphoma...she STILL comes through for her life-long friends. She's guiding me through a "very wimpy" time in my life that doesn't even compare to what she's going through...but she's there to support me...NO MATTER WHAT.

JUDITH ANN... God gave you those 23 little angels to hold you up through this. You're gonna have "tons" of stories to tell them when you get REALLY OLD. I only have 11...but it's really hard to be sick when they're around. All your kids and grandkids adore you...with good reason...you're the wisest person I've ever known.

You're precious to each and every one of us in your own special way. God has some definitely BIG plans for you...and I'm gonna be here to witness the "Miracle on St. Veronica Street".

Relax...the "Sweeties" got your back.

Love you...
Joyce

Faith in the future gives you power in the present! Many prayers are coming your way and you will win this battle. How would you like to walk in the Survivors Lap with me in June at the Relay For Life? I'll see you there...

Aunt Judy, There are no words to express how much I love and admire you. You mean the world to me and always will. Okay, I'm not getting too sappy because you are going to be better in no time. You are the strongest person I have ever met and this is just another bump in the road you will overcome. Still I love you and you are in my prayers.
