Dear Brandon,

We enjoyed seeing the picture of you at the Relay this year. So sorry we had to miss it. It has become a yearly tradition seeing you walk in it. Faith had to be a clinic at St. Louis and we didn't make it back in time. It sounds like you are really doing well in your ball playing this year. Keep up the good work!! Have Mom and Dad let us know when some of your games are and maybe we can come see one...then go out for ice-cream afterwards!! ha!

Love you bunches,

Brandon,
We are so glad to hear you are "free". I'm sure you will enjoy not having your broviac. Kristopher is so anxious to go swimming this summer, since he doesn't have his anymore. Do you want to go swimming? I bet you like playing in the water. Remember to have mommy use the "magic creme" when you have to get your blood drawn at out-patient labs. It helps so you won't feel the poke. We wish you all the best!!

Hey brandon & kim, this is stacey from the ER, just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you all and am excited to hear brandon got Brovy out this week. I wanted to let you know I had the baby, he was born 5 weeks early, I got sick with him. Anyways he was born 01-01-06 @ 1806. Weighing 4lbs, 7oz and was 17.5 inches long. He was amazingly healthy, we thought we were going to have to fly him to St. Louis, but the lord had other plans and we were home 5 days later. He's doing great, Myles loves him. Hope to see you all soon, but not at the hospital!! You can go to Missouri Delta Medical Center's web site and see the baby. His name is Clayton Stephen Stark. Good luck to both of you. -Stacey (your personal ER nurse)

Dear Brandon,
I was glad to hear from your Mom the other day. It sounds like you are doing well. Don't be afraid of taking your broviac out. Kristopher loves not having his in. I told your Mom about a special "magic creme" the nurses can use on your arms so you won't feel the needle stick. Ask the doctor to call your pharmacy with the prescription. We put Kristopher's "magic creme" on 1/2 hour before we get to St. Louis Children's out-patient labs so his arm will be good and numb. It is wonderful stuff. Kristopher liked looking at your picture on the website. He thinks it is neat you are going to live in a log house. We are so glad you continue to do well. We will continue to pray for you and your family. Thanks for thinking of Kristopher.

Fondly,

Hi Guys! I've been so busy lately with school starting and the house remodeling that I haven't had time to write. I have been checking your site for updates. Mom keeps me pretty well informed if she's heard from you all. I was so amazed by Brandon getting to throw out the first ball at the Cardinal's game. We watched the whole event..before game shows and after game shows hoping they would show him..but unfortunately they didn't. We are so thankful to God for answered prayers and thankful to all the caring folks who have kept Brandon and his family in their prayers. Give Brandon lots of hugs and kisses from us.

HOO-RAY!!!!I'm so happy that you have been going to the potty. Funny thing to be happy about, but it can be very painful. I'm also happy that you are a ZERO but you are a number 1 in my heart. You sure make a great aunt very happy. A friend of mine saw you one day at Wal-Mart and she said that you were flirting with her and as she was leaving the store she said to herself that little boy was Brandon Scott. She has been praying for your healing so it really helps to see a face for the one you pray for. It just seems to make it more personally when you get to meet the person that you pray for. Mike & Kim, I know you all must be such a relief to know that he is feeling better. I love you both for being such wonderful parents. Brandon is a lucky boy to be so loved. If it weren't for the bad times then we wouldn't cherrish the good times with our kiddos like we do. Just hold him close and love him back to good health...thats what makes being a parent so wonderful.

Love you guys,

Kristie, Chuck, and Faith Carnett <cnets@semo.net>

Hi, just checking in to see how all is doing. Sorry to hear that you had to go in the hospital over the 4th but, there will be next year and it will be bigger and better. Your treatments will be over and you will be feeling GREAT!!!!
Mike & Kim I know you get weary somedays but, soon it will be over and when you look back you will praise GOD for giving you such a wonderful son that is going to bless so many people with his testimony. God gave Brandon to you and Mike, two loving parents that is going to directed him in a path that GOD wants him to take. It takes very special people to raise children that are sick that is why you two were chosen to be Brandon's parents . Not everyone can do what you and Mike are doing. It is hard for people to talk the talk unless they have done the walk. I love you all

It is really heartbreaking to know that he has had to endure so much pain and suffering.....and that he still has more treatments to go. But, thank God the worst is over....it's down hill now. I admire you all so much for being the loving, strong parents that you are. I also give God the glory for giving you the strength to get through this, and the healing that is taking place in Brandon's little body. PRAISE GOD. I WAS SO GLAD TO READ THE REPORT OF THE TEST. You have been and will continue to be in my prayers. My co-workers at First Midwest Bank will also be excited to hear the good news. Kim you are certainly a strong person. I know God must be pleased that He chose you to be Brandon's mother. I know these next few weeks will be a walk of faith but know that God is with you and our prayers are surrounding you and all the family. Brandon I will be waiting to hear when your first game is. Thanks for the pictures. I have them on my desk at work. I love you all. Miss Ruth from Church

Kim - I was so excited to see Brandon is playing T-Ball. Rayni is going to play too! That is so wierd. But, she's going to play on the Park Dept league - we weren't aware of the Church league until Friday. They are going to let her be in the league even though she'll be 8 in June. You know how tiny she is and she said it wouldn't bother her to play with the younger children. So, maybe she and Brandon can get together and practice some time! :) We'd also love to come to his games if that's okay. I hope Monday goes okay. We'll see you soon.

I am so proud of those caring people who give of their time and talents to run in marathons for you and other children such as yourself. They are to be praised and thanked for their efforts. I am also proud of all of the readers of your website who show their caring and concern......and above all, the PRAYERS. Many thanks for all of the prayers. Mike,Kim & Brandon,I'm so happy that the surgery went well . I know you all hurt right now but someday this pain will be gone and it will be just a memory. Mike & Kim, I'm so proud of you both for being loving, christian parents. I thank God that Brandon has you two for his parents. We all know why Brandon is such a loving, strong little boy, that is because he knows love, and sees strength every morning when he wakes up, he sees Mom & Dad. There is no way that you could go through this without GOD. He has given you both the strength to make it through the emotional ups & downs. I honestly believe that God has a special mission for Brandon. Brandon, I deliver an angel to you that was from God, so that is how I know you are going to be okay. He has big plans for you. We don't understand why this has happen to you but someday we will all know. I love you all. God does answer prayers and God is good all the time.

You did a wonderful job explaining what is going to happen. It really helps me, and I'm sure everyone else that cares about Brandon, understand. After reading your post, I just wanted to call you up and come over and hug Brandon. Unfortunately, that is completely unrealistic. So, please tell him that Rayni and I love him very much and we can't wait to come over and play again or for him to come to our house. So much of me wants to come to St. Louis to be with you during his surgery, but I know you have lots of people to be there with you. If you start to feel overwhelmed (of course you will - what am I saying?) - if my being there would help you in any way, I want you to call me. I mean it. If you called in the am, Rayni and I could be there in a few hours and spend a few hours with you before we had to come home. Please, please don't hesitate if that would help you at all - anytime - during the surgery, while he's in PICU, when he's back on the floor - anytime, anyday. Let me know about updating the page. I feel honored that you asked.

I am so sorry that Brandon has to have surgery, but we know that our God is not only awesome but He is a great big loving, merciful God. I can only imagine what you all must be feeling and I believe that being scared is definitely ok. Even though we don't understand all the things we have to go through here God is already holding you and your family in His big loving arms and just like He promises in His word He will never leave us nor forsake us. Just remember that while you all have to play the waiting game He is holding Brandon just like his mommy would. We are all praying for Brandon and that the outcome of everything will be the best news we could hope for.

Hello hello hello. I am so excited for you! I had no idea you would be updating, so I haven't been checking the page. But, I talked to Kristie today and she said you had access to a computer. I know you are having so much fun! Tell Brandon, Rayni was scared of the dinosaurs too - but she didn't really get over it! :) She had a good check up Thursday and can get out again (with extreme precautions of course). So, we went to the mall in St. Louis - to Libby Lou's - Rayni got a makeover - and Build-a-Bear - she bathed the bear she already had and bought a new outfit. Rayni had saved up $13 for Build-a-Bear and spent it all! Child life gave her a gift card to Libby Lou's. She picked the "Rock Star Chic" makeover and thought she was very hot stuff. Which, she is!!! Anyway, I guess I miss you so I'm going on and on, but I can't wait to hear all your Give Kids the World stories when you get back. Love you !

We'll talk soon.

Happy Holiday Season to you all! I heard how Brandon sang Jesus Loves Me to Rayni. How adorable! It certainly brought tears to my eyes. He truly is a special little boy. Mom also told me about him telling the little boy in the doctor's office about him having leukemia and telling him he loved him and to call him. He will touch so many hearts and lives. We love you guys! Talk to you later.

I just wanted to say that I'm glad you put the Spiderman picture on the website. It really gives others hope that someone so small could still have such faith and happiness after going through such tribulation as he's had to endure over the past months. I hope he has a Merry Christmas and take heart that the coming New Year will be much better and happier. Happy Holidays, a friend of Alma and Tuey Wilson, Cairo, MO

I miss seeing you at Church but fully understand and agree that he doesn't need to be around people. Checking in to see how it's been going for you guys. It was great to see (meet) you at the All-Star Game. Shawna & Steph--you haven't changed and look great. Kim, take care of that foot (moms need attention too). Mike, Kendall is 1-0 so far this season. I thought I should let you know that now--it may be the only undefeated record of the season (hopefully not). They start a tournament this week. Hope all is going well for Brandon--I'm sure he's looking forward to Christmas and those presents. Thanks for the website and updates.

Hi Mike, Kim, and Brandon

We were so happy to have you at the Ellington Alumni Basketball game. Mike, I guess you still have it even with the back problem. (making a shot from half court, what are the chances?) And Kim, it was very nice to meet you. Brandon is a very lucky little boy to have such great parents. Now that I have the address for Brandon's page I can keep updated on his progress. Your family is continually in my thoughts and prayers. There is no way anyone could know what you are going through but please remember you have many friends in Ellington who are concerned so if you ever need anything don't hesitate to call. Again, it was great to see you and your family. I hope to see you again soon. God Bless.

Hi Brandon, Kim and Mike.....the Team in Training is doing great and is increasing our mileage each week. Most of the fundraising is winding down and we're getting into the serious training part. If anyone has not donated and would still like to, donations are still most welcome. My address is Sheri Farmer 14153 Christy Lane in Poplar Bluff. You could also give a donation to Kim. Any amount is appreciated since it goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the majority of the funds stay in the area.

I'll be in touch with all the team to let them know about Brandon's birthday and hope we can all plan to be there. I'll need some details to let them know but for now, we can just have them plan on that date. There is also another team that has formed and will be fundraising for a winter event. I'll still be active with them even after I get back from our October marathon.

I talked to mom yesterday and she told me a few of the things he has said lately, like calling your mom "Babe". I had a good laugh...so cute. Well, tomorrow we will get to see Marshal, Michelle & the grandkids. First time since March. They are coming for the Labor Day Holiday. We are so excited!!!!! And...guess what!!!!!??????? We are going to be grandparents again! She is due April 28th. That's close to Marshal's B.D. on the 18th and Lou's B.D. on the 19th....but who knows. Tell Brandon we are all thinking about him and and there will be a Luminarie in honor of him from us at our Relay For Life Walk on Aug 20...tonite! Our County has already raised over $36,000 and the walk isn't until tonite...isn't that wonderful? It always amazes me how much the people in this area will give to a good cause. Hang in there.

I am so glad to hear that Brandon is feeling well. I am so sorry that Mike has to have surgery, I hope it went well. That makes me nervous because I have two herniated discs in the same spot and have been going through pain therapy sessions. Not that I want you guys to be in the hospital but it would be really great to see you guys and Brandon. Kim, I just want to tell you when I first became a nurse i did adult ortho and took care of patients who had the same kind of surgery Mike had and just let me tell you that men in his age group make the worst patients always whining and crying not like our big boy Brandon (ha ha)(no I'm serious). Well I really miss you guys and hope that Brandon keeps on feeling great and my thoughts and prayers are with you for everything going on.

Kim, Ronda pointed me to the site. Brandon is going through so much, it is hard to remember he is only two. I clipped his Relay for life picture from the newspaper to give to her. It is rough to hear about Mike's pain and surgery, but the down time is really going to be the rough part. You're going to need the patience of Job to get through that. Take care, Juanita

Kim, Mike & SWEET little Brandon, I've been keeping up with your page, but don't always have time to sign in. It is such a great thing to be able to keep in touch this way. What a blessing! Also, what a blessing last Sunday was! Mom told me all about the baptism before I read it on your page. I can't tell you how overjoyed we are to hear that....and also that your dad is publicly surrendering his life in baptisim this Sunday. I wish we could have been there for both occasions. God is so awesome. It's hard to believe that just under a year ago, this whole cancer nightmare started, and God has used this hopeless looking situation to his glory, and answered the prayers so many people have been praying for which is Brandon's healing and bringing you and your family into His kingdon. Praise God! We love you guys, and our prayers are always with you.

Karen told me about your website. This is the first time I have visited it. I surely hope and pray that Brandon soon feels better and that Mike's surgery is successful. I can only imagine the worry and stress you are living under. I recall how concerned I was each time the girls got a temperature which only lasted a few days. Kim, I hope you have not completely lost your pretty smile, although I am sure some days are very rough. Brandon, I am praying that you will be feeling up to playing very soon.

Kim and Mike,

I rarely use my computer, but it is so nice that you have this website going that can keep everyone updated on Brandon (as well as yourselves). I rarely get to P.B. anymore and don't hear much about how you are all doing. I'm glad to hear that Brandon is doing well. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I can't imagine the emotional strength that it must take to go through as much as you all have. I don't believe that I know about Mike's surgery. What kind of problems is he having? Lots of love.

Our team is meeting at 5 on Sunday at Cape and have a nutrition class then go on to the park for our training. Some will go 4 miles and some will go 12 miles....it depends on which marathon we are signed up for. We'll be so glad when you are well enough to have our social. Your mommy will let me know when we can do that. We're so thankful that your surgery went well and your pain is not so much a problem. Prayers from your Team in Training! Brandon, I don't know if I have told you lately that you are a very special little boy to me. In fact not to sound corny but you are my hero. You are so brave and strong, and that beautiful little smile of yours just proves that you can handle anything. You have special parents and grandparents. Even with the illness you ARE the luckiest little boy in the world to have the family that you do I love you very much and think of you every day. Love Celeste

Thank you for creating Brandon's page! He is such a doll. I have been anxious to see my little teammate and can't wait to be able to see him in person. Seeing his smiling face makes me realize how important my training is for him and the LLS.

Hi Again! Sorry I accidentally sent that last e-mail twice. I can't do two things at once...like walk and chew gum at the same time!!!! I have to say your update today brought tears to my eyes....I am so happy that God has blessed Brandon with the ability to walk that lap in the survivor's walk tonight. So many people haven't been able to make that walk. I pray for their families.....and I pray that Brandon will be able to make many, many, more survivor walks in the future.
God Bless and take care!
Love,
Aunt Alma

Mike, Kim & Our Little Buddy Brandon, We were excited to get the news of Brandon's web site. How wonderful to get daily information on Brandon! I can't wait to share it with our caring friends and prayer warriors, so they too can keep up with Brandon's progress. We will continue, of course, to keep Brandon and also you and your family in our prayers. We know that with God's love and grace you will get through this.....and Brandon is going to be blessed with perfect health.
We love you guys!

Brandon and family,
Although I have not met you yet, I want you all to know that you have a special angel up there watching over you, and her name is Erika. Angel Erika was 11 years old when she lost her fight with leukemia, and I pray to her often to watch over all the little children who are battling leukemia. She's a very busy little angel. Keep the faith and know that many people are praying for your quick recovery. I look forward to the time that we can meet.

Hi Mike, Kim and Brandon! You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers each day. I just made a website for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fundraising and so people can keep up with the Team in Training progress.
Would everyone also visit http://all-for-brandon.pledgepage.org/ and sign the guestbook there and forward it on to your friends and relatives?
