June 5, 2005 at 4 pm Welcome to Talitha's Home Page i have made for her.
I found out last year in April about this dreaded fate of hers. It has been over a year now and she has great days and then poor days. I have read that from age 2-5 is a little break for some from the worsening so i am holding on to that faith. She seems to favor one side more recently and really enjoys using walkers or push toys often to help her not fall as she s owies. She is a happy fun and anyone who knows her would say she is beautiful inside and out.
She has a sister Mallory who is now 6 who adores her and plays y type things with her. Mallory is now enjoying her as she had to be so patient while she was a baby and now they can keep up to each other pretty well!
Her brother, Jaymie, is 12. He adores her very much also and is the caretaker, guarder type for her. He loves to snuggle and chat with her lots and show her pretty things and plays with our animals with her. They are working on training the baby mini horse we just had this spring and hope to use her for therapy if it all works out as planned. She is the size of a big dog and her name is Bronzey.
Cody is her 8 yr old brother who enjoys active play in any fashion. He loves to push her around or on things. He plays little vehicles with her. He loves to help feed her and reads her lots of books also.
Talitha has a favorite dog here named Casey who we just got this spring. She was a breeding dog and owner was moving so we got her for free. She is real nice and outside as she is not potty trained. She loves to be anywhere near the kids playing!
She has been doing some horse therapy with our mom horse when her temper is mellow and we also are starting special olympics with Jaymie, Cody and Mallory with equestrian so they will compete and do that on fridays with a friend Pam.
We found a new doctor who also does homeopathy and he is at Integrative Medicine in Lakeville. He found Talitha to be high levels of mercury and we are detoxing her now. He hopes to help her some after we rid the mercury as he has been extremely helpful with my health. His phone is 952-892-6700 if needed and his name is Dr. Rieb. Her primary doctor saw her this spring and he was so impressed with her bounceback and how well he was doing he told me to keep doing whatever i am doing and he hopes i find a miracle cure for her someday as she is too precious to lose. So i am researching daily for helpful ideas. I am really liking the healing therapies i am finding and pure Essential oils therapeutic grade as there are some that actually help repair dna which is her problem. IT is a study i am finding quite exciting for all kinds of things.
Talitha's father is still not involved and she is sad about that. She does see his picture when she asks about him though. I am sure when her father wants a relationship with her he will call.
Have a blessed day and please sign guestbook as we love to read those.
Thanks Laurie and the kiddo's.
