Lilypie 4th Birthday Ticker
Welcome to Skylies Web Page. It has been provided to keep people updated about Skylie. She was sent by ambulence to childrens hospital from her day care. They called me at work and said that she would not eat and was turning pale. By the time I got to day care the ambulence was there and I rode with them to the hospital. She did not seem sick at all in the morning at all. We were at childrens hospital for one week and then sent to the University of MN to prep her for being on the list for a heart transplant. When they did an echo on her heart the left side was not pumping hardly at all and it has not got much better yet.I will keep you all informed on this web site a couple of times a day. Skylie was listed for a heart transplant on May 18 and her status is 1A.She recieved her heart on June 9,2005

Happy New Year!!

We all have been doing good. We had a good Christmas!!
Skylie really enjoyed Chrismas this year. Santa brought Skylie her barbie jeep and she was so happy when she woke up. Thats the one thing that she asked for this year. She kept signing car to everybody this year when they asked her what she wanted. When she first got the jeep she would just cry if we had to go somewhere because she wanted to take the jeep with her.

Skylie has really started talking in the past couple of weeks. When I ask her to say something she will try to say it now. She is still calling Derek "Bob". I dont know where that came from but whenever you ask her to say Derek she will say Bob.Her new word lately is "Why".Skylie is still going down to the U once a week for speech.

Skylie had labs a couple of weeks ago and they were all good. We are now watching her EBV levels monthly. Skylie's numbers have came down now just to keep them down.

All the kids went back to school this week.I think they were all getting bored with being home.Skylie was excited to go back. I asked her yesterday if she was going to cry and she told me no.

Derek and Paige are doing good. Derek started his snowboarding with school and enjoying that.Paige has been keeping busy with her PCA.Skylie has also started with a PCA a few hours a day so I can sub with the school a few times a week.
