Andrew's Recovery

On August 2, 2003 Andrew and Brittany were in a serious 3 wheeler accident. Brittany recieved
about 5 stiches to the forehead and a whole bunch of scrapes. Andrew wasn't as lucky, he recieved
a serious head injury which fractured his skull and created swelling around the brain along with a small bruise to the brain.
He was taken by ambulance to Madison Hospital in Madison, MN from there was airlifted to
Sioux Valley Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Just to let you know I will be deleting Andrew's web page in a couple of days. Andrew is doing excellant. We got the go ahead to start occupational and physical therapy and he's going to see a developmental and behavioral pediatrician. The doctor recommended this, Andrew's behavior isn't the best since the accident, they believe it is somewhat do to the accident. The prescott school is coming to find out developmentally Andrew is and if he needs any work there or in speech. If the school does feel he needs some help this service is free.
