Thursday, August 14, 2008 7:30 PM CDT Got a great birthday present today (actually my birthday is tomorrow ... I'll be 61 but I'll take this good news any day.
Saw Dr. Hurley this morning and he said my scans looked as good as they have in some time. Wow, is that a praise the Lord!
He said it was okay to skip a couple chemo treatments and see him again on Sept. 18 and we'll talk more. Told him I don't want to take two steps forward and three back but he said to miss two or three treatments should be okay. I just want a little quality of life for a while.
He is also sending for physical therapy to see if they can condition my body to not be so tired all the time. See them next Tuesday.
Larry and I went for a ride on the Harley Sunday to Frontenac, Minnesota ... about 30 miles south of here. It was good to be on bike again. Still have a hard time getting on the bike, the upper legs are weak but hopefully the physical threapy will help that!
That's it for today. From the bottom of my heart ... thank you for your prayers and support ... it has gotten me through these challenges.
Love ... Mary Jo
