Sometimes goodness shines so bright that it can show us just how full our lives are.... and just how much we have to be grateful for.
**************************************************** My Medical History I was born with a fatal liver disease called Biliary Atresia. At 2 1/2 months of age I had surgery, the kasai procedure, to help prolong my life. The surgery worked for 11 years. At age 11 my spleen was removed and my body went into liver failure and I was put on the liver transplant list. On May 1 1988, I received my life saving liver transplant. I live my life as normal as possible. There are always meds and doctors but you just deal with it and continue on with life. In 2006 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. ***********************************************************

Saturday, July 4, 2009 9:29 AM CDT Happy 4rth of July!! Things are good! Leyna Loo and my sister are here and it is so good to have them around. Leyna is so funny, cute, and sweet. She likes to ask to see Auntie's surgery. She is trying to figure it out. She just isn't quite sure what it all means. Yesterday I just used one extra strength tylenol 3 times throughout the day for pain and it worked fine. I still slept more than usual but am hoping today that will be better. We are heading to the boat for the day to celebrate the 4rth. It should be good-partly cloudy and little to no wind. It should be a fun day!
Have a Safe and Happy 4rth of July!
