It my anniversary today, what a waist. I'm trying to get through this. It has been hard. Especially at night at Bayshore, that was the time Butch came to spend time with me, So if you could write in or come visit me. I zm starting to walk in therapy. So I'll keep on trying. lisa greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> duluth, mn usa - Wednesday, June 24, 2009 7:27 PM CDT Dear Lisa - You have been in my thoughts and prayers today - a day that should have been a celebration....your wedding anniversary!!! But I'm sure today is a day of grief and bewilderment....BUT this too shall pass!!!! Glad you were able to come to Teresa's 40th Birthday party - not in your own van, but you made it. Nice to see family and friends isn't it. I enjoy getting together so much with your (my family now too) family. Had a great visit with Uncle Gene and Aunt Robin. Robin should be leaving tomorrow for Italy again (what a world traveler). This weekend when we go camping with your mom, dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev we will be bringing Cooper and Preslie for one night. Will be Cooper's first adventure camping. I'm sure after one night we may be looking forward to one quiet night. I'm actually having a break before my next dogs come, so maybe I'll even have lunch. Take care of yourself and work hard getting up walking.... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Wednesday, June 24, 2009 11:58 AM CDT Hello - I am so glad you called me Monday night and I added your phone number to my cell phone. I ran out of time on Saturday and I never made it to your Moms to see you and to wish Teresa a happy Birthday! She is finally in the 40's with us. I was so glad to hear you had taken more steps during the week, keep it up! Julie Walkowiak <jwalkowi@css.edu> - Monday, June 22, 2009 7:54 AM CDT Dear Lisa... Please know that you are one of the strongest person that I know. The news is awful.. but you will get through this and you have your wonderful family for support. I feel bad that people have to point fingers at this time about this situation.... My boyfriend just left me after five years lisa.. I know it isn't the same.. but when you find out that the one you love and is suppose to love you the same way can so easily throw it away.... it kills you inside. But we are strong and wonderful women and we will overcome. You are above and beyond an incredible women ... you inspire us to see that if you work hard you do achieve... I love you lisa... I know we haven't talked for a while... but I am so angry right now at butch and I know I have no right to be.. but I cant stand to know you are hurting.... I am thinking of you and will pray and hope that everyday it will be a little easier... Patty Parker <Patricia.Parker@pca.State.mn.us> Duluth, mn - Wednesday, June 17, 2009 3:05 PM CDT Lisa, I was devastated to hear about what is going on ! It is very hard to even think that someone could be so harsh, after all that you have been through. You ARE a strong willed person and you will get thru this. With God and Family you will persevere! Keep up with all your pt's and ot's and which other therapy you may be doing. Life may look really bleak to you now, and it will leave many questions unanswered, the biggest is WHY? and noone can really honestly answer this. You have your Willie and Cassie, your family and all of your nearest and dearest friends to help you through this tough time! You will always remain in our prayers. We think of you often. God Bless you Lisa Marie, When the going gets tough! The tough get going!!! Prayers and Love to you, Phyllis & John Caruth Phyllis <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Tuesday, June 16, 2009 11:34 AM CDT Hi Lisa.... I know you are going through a horrid time right now and Willie and Cassie too (plus your mom, dad and Jeep and other family members). I wish I could wave a magic wand and make you feel better and everything would be wonderous, BUT that is not how life works. Your strong and got a good head on your shoulders and will get over your shock and anger and continue to work hard to get up walking and now maybe help with you weight too. Life at our house is pretty good. Uncle Mel and I spent Sunday outside (after church) - it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Got a little bit red!!! Back to work today - long day...from 7:45 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Keeps me out of trouble. I'm going to have to make Fourth of July dog biscuits this week and get our house decorated!!! You will be seeing Uncle Mel tomorrow - I have to work. On Wednesday we are going to Proctor to babysit for Preslie and Cooper and hopefully it will be nice and we can go to the zoo. Preslie has a t-ball game that evening we will stay for too. This coming weekend is our Land of the Loon - parade on Saturday and crafts and food at the park and then Teresa's BIG FORTY birthday party. Hopefully we will see you there. And I hope we have nice weather for that too. Sunday is Father's Day - church and we have a church picnic that afternoon. Your in my prayers and we love you... Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Monday, June 15, 2009 10:10 PM CDT Hello Lisa, Thought i would catch you up on what's been happening in the Caruth household. Actually not much going on here, I plan on retiring from work on the 26th of June, I really hate to, I really love my job! But it is getting the best of me, my legs can not take too much ot the running u and down those stairs too much longer. I really want to spend more time at Timberline Campground anyway, we were going to try and the sell the Camper and everything on the site for one price, but I guess they are not selling too well, so guess we will put it off for another year or so. I really like it out there when we go, but we haven't gone too much because of my working and John working. I only have every other week-end off and then I usually took 2 weeks in July when the relatives from Iowa came up. Hunter is growing so big, and he is walking now, he had tubes put in his ears on the 19th of May. He had been getting alot of ear aches. They also told us that he has ashma.. I told Brittany & Brandon not to smoke around him, that goes for all of their friends. This really upsets me, when I know they are smoking around my little guy and they know that he has ashma and just a little smoke around him triggers his symtoms. It is reeally hard to try and give a 14 month old a neb!! (nebulizer) He just doesn't want to breath the neb medicine. I try my hardest to get him to breath alot of it, but as long as he gets a little of it, it helps. We don't smoke anymore !! I quit two years ago and John also quit 2 years ago. I do not ever want to smoke those filthy things ever again! So lisa, it sounds like you are making progress with your standing and all. You will be home in no time! It is good that you do get to go home once in awile. I bet you miss the kids too! I miss my Boys, they were always popping in every now and then, now I don't see anyone, Johnny pops in a few times, just to pick up his mail, Brittany will come over when it is warm out, or just to bring Hunter over to see me.. Johnny is home until the 20 th of June, then he is off again touring with a Band called Sing it Loud. He will be gone until August. The tour he will be gone on is called The Warped Tour!!(nice name huh?) He serves as the Bands tech guy. Sets up all the instruments and tunes the guitars, he makes good money doing this, alot better than when he played in the Band No Wings to Speak Of!! He seems to enjoy it alot. I always told him, if you like what you do, stick with it!! Brittany works at Arby's in the West End. She started shortly after dHunter was born, I think it was in April or May!! Whenever Arby's opened. Well how do you like this weather? It is really crappy!! Brian will be getting married on July 11th to a girl from St.Cloud, they met at Cellular One Technology Village, where they both worked. Now they are living in Oklahoma and both working for a company called VOIP!!! Junior and his new Wife Barb are doing great, she is the Manager of a Dollar General in Mustang Oklahoma and Junior is doing Electrical work for a contracting company.. They plan on visiting this Summer, I hope i get to see them at the Wedding. The Wedding is taking place in Little Falls, Minnesota. The Brides Father lives there. I guess he will be paying for most of the Wedding. John & I will be paying for the Grooms Dinner.. Should be interesting!! They're little Girl Samantha will be 3 on August 2 and Brody , Brians Son will be 16 on August 28th. They grow up so fast. Junior's little Guy Tylor is 10 all ready. With the other kids, Johnny will be 24, Brittany is 22, Josh will be 21, and Courtney is 19!!! They are all so big now.. Well kiddo, I will sign off, my letters always are so long!! You have a great day and better one tomorrow. God Bless you and your beautifull Family!! Get Well and Come Home Soon!!! Your kitties must you huh? We will keep praying for you and your Family! Good-Night Lisa!!! Your Neighbors for over 30 years!! WOW!!!! Phyllis & John Caruth & Ebony Happy Summer to all of you!!!! Phyllis & John & Ebony <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Monday, June 1, 2009 11:22 PM CDT Just wanted to say hello and that I'm doing fine still at bayshore. Feel free to write in. I usually check the page every day. take care. lisa lisa greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> duluth, M usa - Friday, May 29, 2009 6:46 PM CDT Hello Lisa - Weather has not been great the last couple of days...but we did have a nice Memorial weekend (Monday was cloudy and cooler). My mom, Uncle Mel and I went to our hunting shack on Friday and Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper came up on Saturday morning. We had fun - Jesse and family tried fishing....didn't keep any though (very small) and Uncle Mel tried fishing with Jess - no luck then either. We ate lots, played cards, walked, took saunas, had a fire (made smores) and had alot of fun. Came home Sunday evening and on Monday I did tons of laundry and stuff like that. Bought plants too - will plant them next weekend. Preslie is starting T-Ball, so Uncle Mel and I will have to make trips down to see her play. I'm sure it will be fun to watch. You take care and say hi to everyone. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Wednesday, May 27, 2009 10:16 PM CDT Hello Lisa - Sounds like your mom had a great time at Teresa's with the twins. I'm sure the twins will remember grandma taking them fishing!!! And for the neighbor girl to catch her first fish - how great that is!!!! And, Lisa your sure had a busy week and Butch is back to golfing (I'm sure he is happy). Sounds like they keep you pretty busy at BayShore - that is awesome. We went to Jeremey's Friday night and came home yesterday....had a nice visit and did some walking around too. Saturday was very, very windy...BUT Sunday was nice. We had a tour of Jeremey's work place - huge!!! Very interesting! Got together with my brother and his wife and our niece (she lives in St. Paul)too for lunch on Sunday before Uncle Mel and myself headed for home. This weekend up to the shack for our fishing trip - should be fun. Hope the weather is nice!!! Take care and keep working on standing up.... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Monday, May 18, 2009 8:32 PM CDT Hi Lisa and family....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you and all the mothers!!!! Are you going to go home or to your mom's on Mother's Day? I'm having my mom and brother(his wife is working)over for dinner and I serve Coffee An' that day after church. Tomorrow we are heading to Proctor to see Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper - maybe have supper together...we will see. Jesse and Preslie's Father/Daughter dance was really great - we went early and took pictures. Both Jesse and Preslie looked great - Preslie in her beautiful yellow dress and Jesse in his suit and yellow tie. Sammi, Sophie and Vivi (Preslie's cousins) came there too with their dads and all the girls were so cute and the men handsome. Everyone danced their feet off. We had Grandparents Day at Preslie's school last Thursday and that was fun too. Had the day off today - washed windows and started cleaning cupboards...ISH!! Next weekend we are going to see Jeremey in Minneapolis and for Memorial weekend we are going to go fishing at our hunting shack with my mom, Jesse, Kelli and kids. Have a wonderful Mother's Day and say hi to your mom. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Friday, May 8, 2009 3:42 PM CDT Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers out there. I love you mom love, Lisa lisa greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> duluth, mn usa - Thursday, May 7, 2009 1:37 PM CDT Dear Lisa I had to get some information from Erik as I was confused because there are so many dates if you had a set-back or not. He told me you broke your leg during therapy awhile back. Remember I saw you at the mall with your caregiver and you were buying yourself a new pair of Croc's, and I was with my baby Holly (10 months old already). Are you at Bay Shore? If you are I will pop in and say hi.. Keep going you looked so good when I last saw you. Take care and hope all is well. With love Renee Hallstrom Renee Hallstrom <reneehallstrom@yahoo.com> Duluth, - Wednesday, April 22, 2009 7:51 PM CDT Good Evening Lisa - So your mom and dad are in Vegas...I forgot they were going!! I'm sure they are having fun and I know the weather sounds like it should be great there. Jesse and Kelli and a few other couples went earlier in April and happened to stay at Planet Hollywood where the Miss USA pageant was being done. They ran into the contestants in the pool area and Jesse was actually shown in the pool on the pageant Sunday night. Pretty neat!!! Tonight after work I brought my mom to a Soroptomists Night Out - a movie at our local theatre for women only... Have appetizers, wine, coffee, cider and popcorn too. Tomorrow night is Mother/Daughter banquet at my church - so my mom is coming and my aunt and another lady friend from my mom's apartment building. Also trying to get a sermon done for Sunday - got part of it done, but have to finish.... On Saturday Jesse and Preslie are going to a Father/Daughter dance at the Proctor School - they are going out to eat and everything. Preslie has a beautiful little dress and will get a corsage from her dad. Uncle Mel and I will be going down to take pictures before they leave to go out to eat. What a neat idea. They following Thursday is Grandparent day at Preslie's school, so we will be coming down for that.... Gotta get up bright and early, so bye for now. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mcshi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, April 21, 2009 10:11 PM CDT Good evening Lisa - I have tried going on the CaringBridge sight to see what she wrote this week, but I couldn't get anything..... I don't know what is going one. Will work on it when I have more time. Hope you all had a great Easter - we sure had wonderful weather. We had a wonderful time with the kids on Friday - had an Easter egg hunt and supper and took a walk, played games....tons of stuff. And Jeremey was here too to see Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper. We had a great Easter - lots of good food and a wonderful get-together with family. Busy back to work today and life is just back to normal. All my love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Monday, April 13, 2009 10:11 PM CDT thank you uncle mel for coming and singing yesterday. I felt bad becuse they had me down for a dr. appointment, I didn't have a clue about it. Thats why I was so upset. I hope you can come again, I know everyone sure enjoed him. I was also sorry to hear about Preslie, I hope she is doing ok.Thanks again and happy eASTER. Love Lisa lisa greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> duluth, mn usa - Thursday, April 9, 2009 1:28 PM CDT Hi Lisa - It was nice seeing you and your mom and dad today when Uncle Mel came to play guitar/sing at Bayshore...little disappointment for awhile, but things worked out!! Sure hope Butch is feeling better - I have been battling a cold/allergies for over a week and know how he feels. It didn't stop me from working or helping to move my mom or anything, but sure not fun trying to breathe and sleeping is tough, but it is getting better. I know we told your mom and dad about Preslie Rae, but I'm not sure if you know her story yet. Last Saturday Kelli's cousin's husband was playing in a hockey tournament at Heritage Center and Kelli took Preslie, Cooper, Sami and Sophie (Kami's girls) and went to watch the game. Preslie got hit in the forehead with a puck - lots of blood (head wounds bleed like crazy) and lots of panicking with the others kids, etc. Anyway Preslie was taken to the hospital by ambulance (Jesse was working, but was called and he arrived as Preslie was going in the ambulance). Karen (Kelli's mom) came and got the other kids and Jesse, Kelli and Preslie spent lots of time at the hospital - CT scans and stuff. Preslie got lots of stitches inside and 14 on the outside. She was home by the evening and Sami and Sophie came to spend the night. By Sunday she was doing fine when we went to visit....BUT a scary experience. Jesse and Kelli are in Vegas now and we are babysitting their dog (Twix) and Karen has all the kids (Kelli's sister Kami and her husband went and Kelli's brother too). So Karen has 5 kids - we lucked out with one dog (or maybe not). Been busy getting all the dogs beautiful for Easter... Are you planning on going to your mom and dad's for Easter? Friday Jesse and family will come pick up Twix and I believe the Easter bunny may come a little early here in Gilbert and leave some eggs hidden in our house for Cooper and Preslie to find (they can't make it for Easter Sunday). I am having my brothers and family and mom and Jeremey for dinner for Easter - it would be fun to sometime come and be with you all for Easter and other holidays too....maybe someday??? Anyway have a great Easter and it was sooooo nice to see you. Take care. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Wednesday, April 8, 2009 10:22 PM CDT HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BUTCH - I planned on saying happy birthday yesterday (on your birthday)....BUT???? Anyway, we hope you did something a little special to celebrate the day. Hi Lisa and family - How are things going? I sure do hate the weather - we did not need more snow!!! Didn't get as much as on the north shore and we don't have to worry about the flooding like in Fargo/Moorhead area (that would be awful). Have to say many prayers for those people. Hope all is well with you - working hard in therapy? Good to work hard..... It was nice seeing you mom, dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev last Friday - enjoyed visiting. Moving my mom on Saturday - to the apartment next door. So it shouldn't be too hard of a move, but it still takes time. Uncle Mel is making shelves for her storage room tomorrow and a shelving unit for her closet too. This will be her 3rd move since she has moved to the apartment building and I sure hope it is her last. This apartment she says is "perfect". Take care and we will see you soon. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, March 31, 2009 10:14 PM CDT Hello from the San Antonio TX area. My son, David just left for work. He works nights all the time, he is a DWI traffic policeman for San Antonio. Please include him in your prayers asking to keep him safe. I always worry about him. Two weeks ago tonight, he was aiding a stranded motorist on the interstate and had just finished setting out flares, when a car came speeding right next to him, he saw it in time and jumped out of the way, but was clipped slightly. He was sore for a week, but very fortunate. The driver stopped and Dave awarded him with a ticket, which will be around a $300 fine. One of his fellow officers was struck at an accident scene last October and she is still not back to work and probably never will. Her husband, who is also a policeman and a good friend of Dave's, was also at the scene when his wife was hit. Terrible thing to see! Dan and Breanna will be moving into their own house down here next weekend. I am happy for them, but still feel sad that they won't be here all the time. We will still have Breanna here often since Dan is still traveling a lot for work. He's in Chicago until tomorrow and then leaves for Las Vegas for a week, some of the casinos are his clients. He goes to London the beginning of April. He is a consultant for Dell Computer. They are moving about 2 miles away. Breanna will still ride the same school bus. Both Breanna and Nathan have mixed feelings about the move because they are so close to each other, closer than they are to their half-siblings. Spring has sprung here. We have dozens of hummingbirds feeding on our feeders. The finches are back and the wild flowers are just starting to bloom on the roadsides. We got a couple days of rain, which helps some. We are still in a burning ban in our county. It is supposed to get cold tonight, down in the 40's, ha ha, but that is cold for here. Best wishes to all. Claudia Pianfetti <cpianfetti@yahoo.com> Floresville, TX USA - Saturday, March 28, 2009 7:53 PM CDT Hi uncle mel & deetta just heard your coming to bayshore. How exciting! Looking forward to seeing you. The activities director just told me she thought I knew you were coming. Thats great! Hopefully everyone can come, it being during the day. lisa greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> duluth, mn usa - Thursday, March 26, 2009 1:32 PM CDT Hello again Lisa - Your Uncle Mel just told me he will be playing guitar and singing at BayShore on Wednesday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. It is my day off....so I will be coming down with him. Will be great to see you then.... All our Love, Uncle Mel and Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Wednesday, March 25, 2009 10:10 PM CDT Hi Lisa - Congratulations on your big win at Black Bear Casino - what a nice thing to happen!!! AND isn't it exciting to win. I'm happy to win a few dollars even, but 400 - WOW!!! What glum weather we are having - no sunshine what so ever...today we are having a few snowflakes. Rained the last two days...BUT I'm glad we didn't have the ice like they did up the north shore. We had a nice get-together with my brothers (and spouses) and mom Friday/Saturday. Fun getting together and checking up on what is happening with everyone. Sunday Uncle Mel and I went to visit Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper. Kelli went to the gym for a bit and Jesse had a fire call, so we watched the kids for a short time. We played so many things - from Wii to Dora. Had a great time as usual with the grandkids. I also spoke at the Winter Rap Up on Saturday afternoon...was glad to get that over with. Hope all is still going allright with you and take care. Lisa Greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> Duluth, mn usa - Friday, March 20, 2009 6:50 PM CDT Good afternoon Lisa - Just have a few minutes before my next dog arrives for grooming....so I'll check in and see how you are doing. Hope all is well with you now - not ill anymore are you? Sure you enjoyed visiting with Willie and Cassie - they are such nice kids (but of course... they have such nice parents and grandparents too). Where are Willie and Cassie moving to? Is it a bigger apartment? My family (my two brothers and their wives) are getting together this weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday. Her birthday was earlier in March, but with everyone's schedules, this was the time we could all get together. I also have to speak Saturday afternoon...but I'll just leave for a few hours and return to the celebration. Saturday night we get to use my brother Dave's hot tub - I love that!!! Well, take care and keep working hard in PT and OT. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, MN 55741 - Wednesday, March 18, 2009 2:02 PM CDT Hello Weeza- so nice talking to you today-I know you were tired from your night out at Famous Daves-Enjoy the Caribou coupons. I have a few for regular lattes. Seths team lost their first two games in the state tournament. Not the winning season they had last year. They will play one more game tomorrow for friendship games. Oh well can't win all the time. I hope all is well - have a good week. Miss you and Love you, Teresa Rae & the boys <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Saturday, March 14, 2009 8:46 PM CDT Hi Lisa - We got all shoveled out and the plow guy came too. This was a great day for me to have off - don't have to worry about some customers not making it through the snow. I had 3 meetings last night after work, and all of them were cancelled due to the weather, so I had none!!! We didn't get as much snow as predicted - maybe 8 inches or so....more where it drifted. Uncle Mel went to play guitar/sing at an Assited Living place in Biwabik this afternoon and I'm making St. Pat's dog biscuits for my customers. I ran out and still have 4 more days to give treats out...so back to baking. Then I won't have to make more until the end of the month when I start making dog treats for Easter. Uncle Mel is going to St. Paul this weekend with a friend to a guitar show and I'm going to enjoy the time at home - maybe reading.... Well, have a great week and say hi to your mom and dad. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Wednesday, March 11, 2009 2:01 PM CDT Hi Lisa Just wanted to say hello to you. I have been thinking about and hope that you are doing better. I know it must be hard and you just want to go home. You have such an amazing family though and they really rally around you. Everything is going pretty good for me ... the boys are so big and it is so strange to think that North is the last one home. I am going to stop down and see you... take care and know I am thinking about you. Patty Patty Parker <patricia.parker@pca.state.mn.us> Duluth, mn us - Tuesday, March 3, 2009 10:27 AM CST Good evening Lisa - Just a quick note to tell you a small world story.... I have a friend here in Gilbert that was is divorced and recently started dating again AND she is now going out with a guy that is at the AirBase in Duluth and knows Eric Winklesky or WINK. He is Steve Vandeberg (I think that is right). I have know idea what he does there, but he has been in for a long time and recently came back from Iraq. I've met him a couple of times and he seems very nice. I went bowling yesterday with some church friends and Steve came along with Julie. Such a good sport. Just wanted to let you know.... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Monday, March 2, 2009 10:18 PM CST Good evening Lisa - So how are you doing? How are things at Bayshore? By being at Bayshore, you always have someone to visit with at least...., but it is not home!!! Waiting for Mel to finish supper - hambergers on the grill. Too cold for me to be cooking outside, but they sure will taste good. Had a busy week - working and meetings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Ash Wednesday service) and Thursday. Nothing tonight - yeah!! Got my teeth cleaned on Thursday morning - that 6 months sure seem to go by fast. How are Teresa and the boys doing now that Bryan is gone? He leaves for Iraq in April, right? I'm very sure the boys will miss him alot and Teresa too. I'm getting very tired of winter - it is just so long...... Tomorrow Uncle Mel and I are coming down to see the kids - we will do a little shopping too. Can't believe it has been 2 weeks since we've seen Preslie and Cooper. Jesse and Kelli are going to Vegas in April too - April 6th (we get to babysit the dog). It will be good for Jess and Kelli to get away for awhile. I know your mom and dad are going later in April. We (your mom, dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev) are all set for camping this summer - got the dates and campsites all reserved, etc. Can't wait for camping weather... Take care of yourself and say hi to Butch. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Friday, February 27, 2009 5:26 PM CST I stumbled upon this on the web. I hope this finds you improving. I was sadden to read about your latest trials. You will be in my prayers. We have just recently returned from Duluth. We flew up for our grandson Warren's first birthday. We had a great visit with him and his two and a half year old brother, Lucian. We enjoyed seeing their mom and dad too. While we were there our oldest son, his wife, and their son flew down to San Antonio. They had a good visit with our other two sons down here and we got back to spend nearly a week with them. It would be nice to see you and your mom and dad one of these times while we are in Duluth. We will be back for Grandma's Marathon, our son Joe will be running the full marathon this year and we want to be at the finish line to greet him. He has run the half marathon the past two years. We will also be back in August for Lucian's third birthday and I will need to have an MRA on my head at that time. My best wishes always to you and your family. Claudia Pianfetti <cpianfetti@yahoo.com> Floresville, TX - Thursday, February 26, 2009 1:50 PM CST Good Afternoon Lisa - Hope you enjoyed your time at home with your kittys last week and I know they loved having you home. I'm sure they miss you.... I heard Butch brought them to visit - that was so nice!!! Uncle Mel and I survived our babysitting over the weekend - those two kids sure keep us busy. All 4 of us even went to church - I had to read the Scriptures (Cooper came up with me) and then Preslie, Cooper and I went downstairs. Preslie made a rainbow in Sunday School and Cooper and I played. Met with our Accountant this morning - ISH!!! No hurry to send these forms out... My cousin is still up from AZ, so all of us cousins and aunts met for lunch - nice time visiting. We set our camping dates and places to go with your mom and dad and Aunt Bev and Uncle Bob, but I don't know if anyone has allready booked them or not. We will have to check on that this weekend. Take care of yourself and remember you are always in our prayers.... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Thursday, February 19, 2009 4:30 PM CST Good evening Lisa.... So sorry to hear about your broken knee. Your mom told Uncle Mel - what luck!! But now that you know, you can let it heal and then get back to work at rehab. Gotta get you back on your feet. Looking forward to seeing your mom and dad and Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev on Friday when they come up to listen to Uncle Mel play guitar at Timber's Edge. I think we will even try to plan a few camping dates. On Saturday we (my family) is having a get-together because my cousin and two of her daughters will be visiting from AZ and then Uncle Mel and I will babysit here for Preslie and Cooper and bring them home on Sunday. Jesse and Kelli have an "adult" birthday party to go to on Saturday. We will gladly have the kids - we are also watching two schnauzers, so we should have an exciting weekend with loud dogs and kids too. That is Seth's birthday too. We sure have Bryan and Teresa and the boys in our prayers as Bryan is deployed. It is going to be hard for Bryan to leave his family and hard for his family to have him leave. Today I did the annual doctor things - mammogram/pap smear...not fun. Then I got a haircut - it is pretty short and Mel doesn't really love it, but I love it. Had a massage and then cleaned the upstairs of my church - had two church meetings tonight too. In between I tried to organize some tax stuff for the accountant next week. We walked the dogs this morning too - good thing I had the day off. Back to work tomorrow - long day as I have 2 late dogs coming at 5:00 p.m. and 5 dogs during the day. This too shall pass.... Have you and Butch in our thoughts and prayers along with Bryan, Teresa, Seth, Blaine and Bryson. Take care.... As I said, we have been busy, but doing well....trying hard to stay warm. Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev got a little reprieve from the cold weather, but they still get to enjoy some nice frigid weather too. Hope they had a great vacation!!! I had my Family here for Christmas Dinner, it was fun.. I always hate to see Christmas end.. Ho0w was your Christmas? Reading the journal, it sounded like you were pretty busy huh? Brian's Son Brody was here, I picked him up at the Airport in MPLS on the 21st of Dec, he is spending most of his time here with his Mom.. I take back to Cities on Jan 7th, so he can take his flight home. Brian picks him up in Dallas Texas.. The flights are so much cheaper to fly from Mpls to Dallas, rather than flying from here in Duluth to Oklahoma City. The trip to Dallas from where Brian lives is about 2 and a half hours, alsmost the same distance as from here to the Cities.. Hunter is growing in leaps and bounds, he is such an adorable little Guy, and he is so good.. I watch him sometimes and he stays overnight and he sleeps all night and when he wakes up in the morning, he doesn't cry he just lays in his crib and plays and talks to himself, I lay in bed and listnen to him.. He is so sweet, then I get him out of his crib and he gets all excited and we go downstairs and have breakfast, he love sto eat his cereal and fruit.. Then he plays with all the toys..and takes a nap about noon or 1pm.. and sleeps for a couple of hours.. i just love him so very much, and I thank God everyday for everyones prayers for him.. He still gets his checkups every 2-3 months.. So far everything looks really good.. We had a scare just before Christmas, Hunter had dirareah for quite awhile, the Doctor was concerned and did some tests and had a specialist look at the tests, he thought that maybe Hunter intestines turned over and that was the reason for all the loose bowels. But he checked out fine, Thank you God so very much!!! We still need to keep an eagle eye on him when he does get sick, I suppose as with every baby born with problems. He is gaining weight fast, so he is eating good .. He will be a year old on March 23rd all ready!!! Wow the years seem to go by so fast and kids grow up so fast, and we get old so fast.... HAHAHAHAHA!!! Not us!! We'll never get old!! I want to try and make to your Moms Retirement party, I work on Saturday, but I will probably come after work.. John & Barbara also live in Blanchard Oklahoma, and they seem to like it alot, they are both working and Heather (Barbs) 7 year old Daughter really like Oklahoma.. The weather is tricky there also, it can be freezing cold one day and 75 above the next.. Barb manager of her own Dollar GeneralStore, she loves her job.. Junior is working as an Apprentice Electrician for a contracting company.. They seem to be doing just great.. Well Lisa nad family, i will close this book(lol) for now. May Peace & Love be with you and your Family everyday!! Love from, Phyllis & John Caruth & Ebony have a great New year!!! Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, MN USA - Thursday, January 1, 2009 9:52 PM CST Hello Lisa and family....So nice to see you on Christmas Eve at Bob and Bev's - just too many people and not enough time to visit with everyone. Your hair was gorgeous though - I guess it always looks nice. Now Chritmas is over for most of us, but I hear you guys will be celebrating over the New Year's when Teresa and family come home to have Christmas/birthdays with all of you. And your mom's retirement party too. Busy, busy, busy!!! We had a wonderful Christmas - lots of great goodies and being with family, etc. On Friday Uncle Mel played guitar and sang at St. Michael's (a nursing home type place) and I went to listen - so did my mom, 2 uncles and an aunt. He did a good job. Jeremey went home on Friday - his band played in the cities on Saturday and they had band practice on Friday. Jeremey said he enjoyed spending time talking with Willie on Christmas Eve and Cassie and Willie's apartment is really pretty close to Jeremey's apartment. Today I did the church services in Gilbert and Eveleth. My mom and aunt and uncles came to listen to the church service today too. Take care of yourself and try to stay warm - we will see you on the 3rd of January!!! Also I want to thank my hubby Butch for everything he does for me. I live you! My mom is all done with work now Congrats mom. Keep writing in I enjoy reading them. Love Lisa Lisa Greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> Duluth, mn usa - Friday, December 12, 2008 7:36 PM CST Good Evening Lisa and Butch.... It is cold out - ISH!!!! Only -4 now, but will get colder during the night. We went to Preslie's Christmas program at school tonight - Uncle Mel and I picked up my mom and we all went to Proctor to see the program. It was so cute and ofcourse Preslie was dressed like a beauty queen. Saw your mom's friend Karen (Preslie and Cooper's other grandma). So did you get enough money to bail yourself out of jail for the MDA? I did that is October, but I raised my bail before I went in, because I just didn't have time to sit and call people from the jail. It is kind of fun though - I had my picture taken with the fancy jailhouse outfit and stuff like that. Still been busy with the Christmas dogs groomings, and ofcourse I have to make dog biscuits to give away to all my customers. We are babysitting a couple schnauzers for friends of ours who went to Mexico and we just aren't used to having dogs around all the time, so when we were gone tonight the got into a couple of Christmas presents that had candy in them!!! Sure hope they don't get really, really sick. What a mess they made though!! Saturday we get together at Jesse and Kelli's with both of my brothers and all their kids and my mom and it will be so much fun. This is our Christmas with Mike and Laurie and Mike's kids (they are from Hastings and don't come up for Christmas) and Jesse and Kelli and kids too (although we will stop by there on Christmas Eve or go real quick on Christmas Day. The rest of my family will come here for Christmas dinner. Hope to see you on Christmas eve and Bob and Bev's.... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Thursday, December 11, 2008 10:45 PM CST Hi Lisa - I just realized it has been a long time since I have last written, so sorry! Uncle Mel and I had a great Thanksgiving....we spent it in Hastings. My brother, Mike and his wife, Laurie went to New York to visit with her family and my mom went to Hastings to babysit their dogs. (I drove her to Hinkley last Saturday and met Mike and two of his kids). So...I didn't want my mom to be alone on Thanksgiving - so we drove down there. We also took my Uncle Emil and he spent the holiday with his son and family in Lakeville. Jeremey and my niece Jenny and her roommate came to Hastings for turkey dinner too. We had a great time and had lots of good food. We drove to Hastings on Wednesday and spent 2 nights - then to Jeremey's for one night. Did a little more shopping - got all Jeremey's Christmas stuff. We went to the HolliDazzle parade too - it was such a nice evening that after we ate downtown we walked back to Jeremey's. Jesse, Kelli, Cooper and Preslie spent Thanksgiving at Kelli's sister Kami's with her family. We are getting new flooring for our dining room - and painted a couple of weeks ago and today we pulled up the carpeting and tack strips and moved out the furniture...way to much work for us. BUT, now it is done. I have a busy month coming up - all the puppies have to look beautiful for Christmas!!! Working everyday - some long days too. Oh well, keeps me out of trouble. It was nice to see your mom and dad when they came up north here to hear Uncle Mel play guitar - alot of my family came too. It was an enjoyable evening.... Well, take care and I'm pretty sure we will see you all sometime over the holidays. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, November 30, 2008 10:29 PM CST Hey you!! Whats going on?? Same old Same old here... Seems like it is always busy I was hoping it would slow down once summer was done, but not so much... Kent and Tyler have been out hunting since Sept 15, Tyler got a doe with his Bow and Kent got a 10 pointer with his rifle and a doe with his bow too.. Keeps them busy and out of my hair..LOL I am getting ready for another benefit, some friends of ours, their two youngest girls have a form of spina bifida and need more surgery, so tomorrow night we are at Grandma's Sports garden. Hairball is playing afterwards. Should be a good time.. I only helped a little with this one and mainly just going to support and have a good time.. Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I can't believe it is already that time of the year. How time flies.. Cody and his girlfriend Katy moved back out the first of the month. They finally found an apt that is nice, and affordable for them. It is really cute. Well tell everyone to have a great Thanksgiving and I will touch base again!! Love ya Cherri Cherri <Cherri68@hotmail.com> Duluth, MN US - Tuesday, November 25, 2008 4:36 PM CST Hi Weeza- Just wanted to say hello again. Hope you had a great weekend. Miss you- Love Teresa Rae - Tuesday, November 18, 2008 6:03 AM CST Hi Weeza- I haven't talked to you this past week. Cassie called me today- she was in the neighborhood-up at Caribou by Sams. I felt bad I didn't get to talk to her long. I was on my way to work. She asked if we could do lunch this week. We are going to meet on Friday. So how has your week been so far?? I guess it is only Wednesday. I am at work and I have one night left-yippee. Kind of sad since I didn't work last week. Bryan was up at Camp Ripley for the week. I met Dene for lunch in the afternoon on Monday. Tuesday I raked and mowed the lawn. Wednesday I shopped, went to the gym, and then picked up the kids from school. We had their fund raiser to pick up. The twins had their first basketball practice on Wednesday-they loved it. It is clinic, so it is once a week and they learn basic skills. Thursday and Friday they were off from school. Thursday we went to Chuck E. Cheese in Edina and then went to Edinborough. That was our day off then Thursday night Seth had basketball practice and the twins had swim lessons. Friday we went to see Madagascar 2, very funny. It was better than the first one for sure. Then Seth had a tournament this past weekend (basketball) They won Friday, won Saturday (came from behind in the last three minutes), and lost Sunday, taking second place. Over the weekend the kids went to Kids night out at the YMCA and Bryan and I went to the Atlantic Buffet (Mom and Dads favorite spot). Sunday we went to Lois' house for Sunday dinner, was very good, she maid pork roast and chicken and dumplings. Here I am back to work again! Monday night and now Tuesday night. I here it is going to snow today. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.... I guess I better start snow boarding once the snow hits. The twins are anxious to learn and Seth is anxious to get back out on the slopes. I am a little apprehensive but it will be fun. Well I hope you are having a great week. I heard Butch did great at Beaners. I hope you had fun too. My kids got way too much Candy for Halloween, I had to bring it to work and give it all away so I would stop eating it!!!!!!!!!! Well I miss you- we will be up for the Thanksgiving. Tell Butch hello for me. Love- Teresa Rae and the boys - Wednesday, November 12, 2008 4:08 AM CST Good evening Lisa and Butch - It was nice to see you both at Beaner's on Halloween - you both looked so cute dressed up!!! Butch did a great job singing - I'm sure everyone enjoyed the show. On Sunday Jesse picked up Uncle Mel and they went to the hunting shack - Jesse fixed up his deer stand and he also took Peyton's boat home. I got to groom his dog after church - what a mutt!! Very friendly dog, just a big galoot!! She is now cleaner and looks a little better. We sure have been having nice weather for November - I love it. It is raining now, but today was beautiful! Did you all go and vote - Uncle Mel and I went bright and early this morning - 7:10 a.m. Hope your week is going well, and take care of yourselves. Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, November 4, 2008 9:48 PM CST Hi Lisa and Butch.... Uncle Mel and I would love to come down on Friday to hear Butch sing at Beaner's!! I just wish it was a little earlier and/or a little closer. BUT we might just make it down...will see what happens comes Friday. I think it would be awesome to see Butch "on stage". If we don't make it, sure hope the show is a success.....as I'm sure it will be!! Sounds like your mom and dad had a good time in Vegas....I would love to have some of the nice weather they are having, because I'm already tired of this cold icky stuff!! We had Preslie's 5th birthday party of Sunday - what a pile of stuff she got. Everything from High School Musical comforter and sheets to a pogo stick and new bike and tons of clothes and shoes. Uncle Mel and I went to babysit Preslie and Cooper on Wednesday last week - had a wonderful time playing and it is nice to have the kids just to ourselves with no mom and dads around. No big plans for the weekend, sometimes that is nice to just get things done around home. I know we are having dinner at my mom's - my brother Dave and his wife are coming too. That will be on Saturday!! Have a fun and safe halloween and enjoy Butch's show - hope to see you at Beaners. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mcshi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, October 28, 2008 10:12 PM CDT Good morning Lisa, I just got done reading your update and I hope your mom and dad are having fun in Vegas. My mom and dad are doing great. My dad still has to decide on surgery or radiation. He did get a 2nd opinion and that doctor thinks radiation would be the way to go. Dennis loves working at AJC (Arrowhead Juvenile Center) and Brendan told his class he is going to work there when he gets bigger. Stacy is working at the childrens dentist office on London Road and just loves it. Dakota is out at Morgan Park school in 7th grade and playing the trombone this year. He is almost as tall as me. The rest of the family is doing great. You know Linda is a grandma - Arthur and his ex-girlfriend had a baby boy. Claudia and Fred are retired in Texas and Danny and David are living with them, so Claudia has been taking care of there kids and cleaning their messes while they are working. She has thought of getting a part-time job just to get away from it all. I am just surprised she is putting up with it. Julie Walkowiak <jwalkowi@css.edu> Duluth, MN - Monday, October 20, 2008 9:15 AM CDT Hi Lisa - You did a good job taking over for your mom...I hope they have a GREAT time in Vegas, maybe they will win big!!! I talked to your mom on Thursday - I was looking for a recipe. Today we had our church's 100th Anniversary celebration. The day went great....we had 101 people there (we only have 33 members)and we fed them all lunch after and things just went swell. BUT I'm so glad it is over... Now I have to work on a sermon for next Sunday - I'm doing the church service. On Wednesday, Uncle Mel and I are going to babysit Preslie and Cooper. We try to do that every couple of months...it gives us time with the kids without parents and that is so much fun. Wears us out, but that is okay!! You take care of yourself this week when your mom and dad are gone and keep working hard at therapy. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, October 19, 2008 9:56 PM CDT Hi Weeza How are you- It was nice talking to you this past weekend, on my anniversary :). We went out Saturday for a movie, just while the kids were at the YMCA. Bryan suprised me with some gifts for our 10th, since he will not be here next year (deployed). I will have to show you next time I am home. I was very suprised. The twins had their last football game Saturday, they won 13-12, they were 0-12 at half-time. What a come back! We went to Davannis Pizza afterwards for their party we got their trophies and their photos. So I will be sending all of their football and school photos soon since I have all of them now. Seth had a game Saturday too, we had to miss it. They won 23-0. They have one game left, the weekend after next. He played his last fall ball tournament on Sunday, they won both games. He start the regular season this week. Now its basketball until March. We all went to Auntie Lois' for Sunday Dinner afterwards. We have MEA this week, the kids are off Thurs and Friday. We will probably just go to the Mall of America and maybe the Science Museum. We might be up the first week in November, the kids are off Thurs and Friday for conferences. I want to book the Edge for Thursday. Have a good week. Do good at rehab. Keep playing scrabble! I want to play when I get up there! I miss you and love you! Teresa Green - Tuesday, October 14, 2008 3:59 AM CDT Hello Lisa and family - Been busy, busy, busy, but I can't really think of what we have been doing!!! Jesse went up to the hunting shack this weekend - for duck hunting and to get his deer stand ready. He stopped by Friday afternoon on his way to Buyck. Saturday I went with my mom and Uncle Emil and we went to see my Aunt Leona who lives in Embarrass. My cousin Darcy was there and her husband Dale too. They live in Esko.... We had a great visit. Church today and then we decorated for our 100th Anniversary celebration next Sunday - lots of work for the few of us in the church....but it will be fun too. We are also having a pasty sale this week for the church too...so at times we feel stressed out!! Had a Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee meeting in the afternoon and then Uncle Mel and I bought groceries and went out to eat. We went to see Jesse, Kelli and kids last Sunday and we all went to eat at Gordy's Hi-Hat in Cloquet (it was the last week they will be open). Busy working and Uncle Mel has been playing guitar/singing at a few nursing homes in the area past couple of weeks. Glad he does that - he enjoys it and I'm sure the residents do too. Take care and say hi to everyone. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, October 12, 2008 10:24 PM CDT Hello Lisa and family thanks for the updates, sorry I havent wrote in a long time in the guestbook. It was nice seeing you at your mom and dads party. Our family had a good time. Thank your mom and dad for inviting us. It was also nice to see Theresa and the boys. Take care the Donahues Lisa Donahue <www.bowlingmom3@msn.com> - Sunday, October 12, 2008 8:51 PM CDT Hi Weeza- How are you????????????????? I haven't spoken to you in awhile. I called mother on Saturday on my way to Herbergers (same as Younkers). She said Will and Cassie were up visiting for the weekend. I hope you had a good visit with them. I am sure they are busy with school and work. Our weekend flew by again. Friday Bryan and I saw a movie, Appaloosa (not sure if that is how it's spelled). It is a Western, it was actually pretty good. We then took the kids to Famous Dave's after we picked them up from the bus stop, it was their first time eating there. Since it was only 4:30, there was no one there yet on a Friday. We then went to the YMCA, the twins have lessons every Friday at 5:15, then we stayed for open swim, so I swam with them. Bryan and Seth were in the gym playing basketball while we were in the pool. We got home around 8:30pm. Seth had his game Saturday, it was very exciting. They won in overtime to a team they played once before and had lost. He had try outs for basketball on Saturday evening. He is on the 5th grade A team for travel basketball. Seth had his friend Tre overnight Saturday. Bryan had drill all weekend. Sunday we went to Concordia for Seth's fall basketball tournament. They lost their first game by 5 pts and won their second game by 30-something. We went to Afton Alps Sunday afternoon to get snow boarding equipment for the twins, it was their ski swap weekend where they sell used equipment. We also got to ride the chair lifts and they had stuff to play in there too. Then we had dinner at Aunt Lois. Well I hope you have a great week and we will talk to you this weekend. Miss you, love you Teresa Rae - Wednesday, October 8, 2008 3:00 AM CDT Good evening Lisa and family - What gorgeous weather we have been having for fall. On Friday we went to Duluth (Proctor too) and it was 84 in Proctor, but when we went to the LakeWalk it was 67...quite a change, but still nice for late September. I had Friday off (only did 2 dogs) and then Mel and I headed down to Duluth - picked up Jesse and Kelli's Happening Book from Bob (I used to buy from Cassie, but now have to get the book from Jordan). Understand your mom and dad will be heading to Vegas soon - hope they have fun!!! I'm sure they will. Mel and I also went to the Red Mug in Superior that evening to hear Bill and Kate Isle's. Had an enjoyable day... Yesterday I had a Red Hat Luncheon - 140 of us red hatters. So a sea of beautiful red hats and purple outfits. Had alot of fun!! Mel and I sure enjoyed out last camping trip to Gooseberry - Uncle Gene and Aunt Robin came to visit. We walked by the lake and Robin looked for agates. Weather on that Friday was gorgeous too, but cool weather on Saturday, but it didn't rain. Hope you have a great week and keep on working hard on walking and all your exercises!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, September 28, 2008 9:42 PM CDT Hey Weeza! We haven't talked this past week. I see Cassie was up to suprise Jeep. Bummer she didn't know about the mid term. I see you have been playing scrabble alot-I haven't played forever. I last played with Bryan-he beat me. But he takes forever-I think it took us two evening to finish the game. This week blew by. The twins football game was cancelled Tuesday due to thunderstorms. It is rescheduled for Friday. So they have a game Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Seth plays Saturday. Mom and Dad are coming down. They get to see Seth play football for the first time :). They will get to see the twins too. My week at home flew by and I don't think I accomplished much. I cleaned out my closet, I started to organize clothes to donate etc. My first day off I cleaned all day, so the second day(Tues) I made a point to go to the gym, Wednesday I went to the goodwill sale at Herbergers (same as Younkers), racked up on some deals. Thursday made a point to go to the gym again. Friday the house was a mess again cleaned and went for a fun. The evenings blew by because the twins had a game Monday, they won. Seth had practice Tuesday night. Wednesday the kids had Rolly Pollies, Thursday both Seth and the twins had football games. They both lost but were close games. I went to Seths and Auntie Lois took the twins to their game. Bryson threw up in Aunt Lois' car on the way home. I felt terrible. She had to get her car cleaned the next day. I had to was the carseat covers, all of his clothes, his cleats, and a back pack. Great eh??? Friday, they had swimming lessons in the evening. Friday night Seth had basketball practice. Saturday they both had games around the same time. I took the twins to their and Auntie Lois came too. They lost again, another close one, yet the kids were much bigger than their team. Flag supposed to be 1st and 2nd grade, the twins are kindergarten, and the opposing team looked like 3rd and 4th graders! They were tall! We headed to Seth's game after and they lost 0-7. It was a losing streak. So hopefully this weekend they will do better. Seth is playing fall basketball. They play two games every Sunday at Concordia college. They do it to get ready for Travel basketball which starts in November. They won both of their games. Now they have to live up to their reputation since they won the state championship last year. Tell Cassie and Willie (or I will try to call) they are more than welcome to come to the Football games this weekend or stop by to visit while Mom and Dad are down. I know they don't live close but they are more than welcome to stop by any time. I hope all is well with you. I am glad are having a good week. Enjoy the rest of it! Oh by the way- Tina Schinigoi- Risch turned 40 on September 19th. Big 40. I talked to her the day before her birthday. Her folks were coming down and her hubby took the day off! Miss you, Love you too! Teresa and the boys Woodbury, MN - Wednesday, September 24, 2008 11:38 PM CDT Good Morning Lisa - So are you and Butch settling in to a routine now that you have no kids at home? I'm sure it is different, but change can be good!!! Our church here in Gilbert is 100 years old this fall and we have been working on a BIG celebration for that.....sending out invitations and sprucing up the church, looking for entertainment for the service, etc. Lots to do... Missed the inline skate race this year (I had a meeting in International Falls), but we will go for sure next year and see Jesse skate. We went down to see Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper on Sunday - had a great time playing and visiting too. We went to Preslie's soccer game on Monday - she got 3 goals. Preslie has her first day of pre-school today - she will go twice a week and stay all day....she even gets to go on the bus. Mel and I are going camping at Gooseberry this weekend - our last camping trip for the year. Hope it is not raining... Take care of yourself and keep on working hard on walking and all your exercises. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Tuesday, September 16, 2008 5:53 AM CDT Hi Weeza, Sorry it has been forever since I have written in the guest book. I hope everything is well since we chatted last weekend. How is Cassie and Willie doing? Does Cassie like being a city girl? How is school going for her? How is the Gap? How is her nanny job? I am sure she is busy. I will have to give her a call. How is Will? I haven't been to Sams Club lately. Remember you can always change the photos on the website if you wish. I am at work and it is almost the end of the shift. I have one more night-Wednesday. I am off next week because Bryan will be out of town for a week for the military. We were busy with football last weekend the twins won their flag football game and Seth's team won their first football game, they were quite excited since last year the team was 0-8 (this is a new team for Seth). We were basically outside all day Saturday for football games. It has been a busy week too. Bryan has had his regional meetings and dinner- for work the past two days so we have had to arrange for Auntie Lois to take Seth to his football practice and Mr. Adams (friend of the family) took the twins to theirs-since I had to work. I hope you have a good day tomorrow Rehab day- keep up the hard work. I miss you. Love, Teresa Rae & the boys - Wednesday, September 10, 2008 4:44 AM CDT Hi Guys - Sounds like Butch did very well golfing in the cities - GREAT!!! Sounds like he had a great golf game when playing with Gary and Bryan also.....I think it is what Butchie likes to do and he does it well. Glad you guys had fun in the cities - shopping and hanging out!!! No fair this year though - oh well. Tomorrow Uncle Mel and I head to Minneapolis. We are going to bring my mom to my brothers in Hastings first and then head to Jeremey's. We will go to the fair Friday night. Jeremey's band (the Awkwards) play in St. Cloud on Saturday....I don't think we will go and watch (if they played closer, I know for sure we would go and listen). Last night after work we went to Preslie's soccer game - what a hoot. And Preslie got her first goal - and we got it on tape. YEAH!!! Tuesday night I had a meeting, Monday night I worked until 8:30 p.m. or so, Sunday was Cooper's birthday party - was a blast and chaotic too. Lots of presents.... Saturday I went to Superior with my red hat group and we went on the Vista Fleet Pizza luncheon cruise and also got to see the Dragon races - fun day. Have a great weekend and work hard when you go to therapy!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Thursday, August 28, 2008 10:20 PM CDT Good evening Lisa and Butch - Congratulations BUTCH on the chance to play golf at Pebble Beach - what a thrill that would be....SO GOOD LUCK!!! Hope that Cassie is all set in her new home and making new friends in school - and Willie will make the right decision with his school if he just weighs the pros and cons. It is hard sometimes to know exactly what to do or what you want to be when you grow up!! He will figure something out... Lets see what have we been up to since I last wrote - last night I played bocce ball with some of my red hat ladies. We went to the park in Virginia and had a picnic lunch and played bocce - lots of laughs. Tonight Uncle Mel and I went shopping for Cooper's birthday presents - his birthday is tomorrow, but his party will be on Sunday. Monday I worked a very long day - lots of dogs. Worked from 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 p.m. and then did paperwork...Glad that day is done. Sunday was our anniversary - 34 years. I had church and a S/PPRC meeting at church, but then Uncle Mel and I played Polish golf and walked around Gilbert before we went to the Whistling Bird for a celebration supper. Saturday I took my mom, two uncles and an aunt to my aunts house in Embarrass - my cousin and her husband were up visiting from Esko. We had a very nice visit - learned lots about my grandparents and what my aunts/uncles/parents were like growing up and as newly wedded people. Really interesting!! Hope all is well with you and we are rooting for Butch to do well golfing!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Wednesday, August 20, 2008 10:15 PM CDT Hello Dear Lisa and Family, Thought I would catch everyone up on our little Hunter's progress. He now weighs 15 pounds and is 4 and a half months old, he will be 5months old on the 23rd.. He has lost all of his hair, he had some wild hair. Really cute little guy. I have watched over night a few times and he is such a good baby, he sleeps all night long and wakes up around 7am, I usually put him to bed when he is here at 8:30 or so and then I carry him up to his crib and feed him upstairs, so all I have to do is put him in his crib and turn his little musical mobile on and he falls right to sleep. Brittany is feeling good, she is a good Mom... She hardly is ever away from Hunter, I am always encouraging her and Brandon to go out and do something , go up to the cabin, go fishing or something, i love watching Hunter... Sometimes they go and they have fun. But they are always short of Money, the only one working is Brandon and he doesn't make that much money, Brittany is looking for work and wants to work evenings, so I can take care of Hunter for her and not pay any daycare or babysitters.. Junior and Barb and Heather are now living in Blanchard Oklahoma, not too far from Brian & Angela.. They seem to like it alot, but I guess the heat was getting to both of them, their air conditioner broke and the landlord had to get it fixed so he gave them a windo unit to use until they got the central air fixed, so they said the only room that was cool was the living room. so they all slept in the living room. The temperature hit 106 for almost a month straight, that is hot.... I guess that is why we all live in Duluth huh?? John is feeling really good after all his surgerys.. Sorry we didn't make it to Cassies Grad party, John had to work and I had to work for someone that was sick that day.. I had worked in the morning and then I had to go back at 2:00 pm and worked until 6:30... We also missed the picnic, my Jeep had to be fixed at my cousins house , because he has a welder, and we needed some welding done on the sway bars.. So that is why we didn't go to the picnic.. hopefully next year we will make it..\ I was really saddened of the news of my neighbor Sally passing away, her Husband said she was doing really good and then all of a sudden she gets pneumonia, i feel so bad for Don and Sara, they seem so lost without Sally.. I will pray for them.. Johnny is off touring, he has been gone for over a month now, he should be back on Friday or Saturday, his Bands name is No Wings To Speak Of. They had a picture of them in a Magazine called Hails & Horns.. Willie will probably know that magazine.. It features all the new up and coming bands and some older ones, it mostly hardcore heavy metal, I think.. something I do not think I could listen to, but I would because Johnny plays lead guitar and sings .... i think they all sing, but anyway i am very proud of him.. They write all most all their own music.... Brian and Angela will be getting married next July 9th in Little Falls Minnesota... I am really happy and excited for them, Angela is a very nice person...Their little girl is two all ready, and Brody will be 15 on August 28th.. He plays Football for his School, they don't have Hockey, so Brian is really bummed.... Brody is in 10th grade all ready this year.. My Grandkids are all grown up! I now look forward to Great Grandkids.... I am still working at Wesley, I was going to retire this year, I will be 62 in December and will be drawing my Social Security next year, but I think I will keep working for awhile, I love my job and all the people there. It is going on almost 15 months since I quit smoking.. I feel alot better , but I am alot chubbier also.. I try to Diet, but the food tastes so gooooood... John bought me a Tread Mill for Mothers Day, I use it every day, except the days when I am really tired from work.. I am off tomorrow, it is payday, so I will pick up my check and do somegrocery shopping. My cousin and I are going to see Wayne Newton at the Black Bear on Sunday August 17th. It should be fun, I think Wayne Newton(Mr. Las Vegas) is an old man now. haha!!! But we got free tickets so we will go.. We are also going to Hincley on August 31st, for a spa WEEK-END. This should be alot of fun, we get a motel room at the Casino Hotel and a free meal and a massage .. It will be alot of fun, kind of a girls week-end .. Well Dear Lisa, I will close for now, I will continue the prayers for you and your lovely family... Keep up the good work and shop till you can't shop anymore or you run out of checks (hahhahahaha). God Bless you all, Phyllis & John Caruth & Ebony Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Wednesday, August 13, 2008 10:28 PM CDT Good Morning Lisa - It was SOOOOO nice to see you at the GREAT Annual picnic at your mom and dad's. Had wonderful weather and a great amount of food -like always. Sounds like your week was a busy one and now all the company left - the folks from Texas and Teresa and the boys. Probably much quieter in your neighborhood now!!! Lets see, what have we been up to since I last saw you.... Friday night Uncle Mel and I took part in the Sand Lake Shuffle - raising money for the American Cancer Society. And we walk and walk and walk.... Uncle Mel and I have been on a team for 15 years and it really turns out to be a family reunion. We are on my aunts' team with my cousins and couple over aunts and uncles and my mom and brother and sister-in-law. We had fun, but it is a late night. Some teams walk all night, but we head for home around 11:30 p.m. Saturday we went to babysit for Preslie and Cooper - both Kelli and Jesse went to the funeral for the Football coach in Proctor. Sunday had church and a brunch to welcome our new pastor - Pastor Dot. Very nice lady!!! I also went shopping for a wedding gift for Don and Kathleen and visited my mom. Last night after I was done working, Uncle Mel and I headed to Proctor to watch Preslie play soccer. How fun that was!!! So cute with their big shorts and shirts.... Have a good week and hope to see you soon. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, August 12, 2008 8:02 AM CDT Hello Sporty- I am so sorry I missed your birthday. To be honest I did not know when it was. I hope you had a terrific day. You don't look a day older than last year :) I just wanted to take a minute to touch base with you to remind you that I think about you on a regular basis and continue to pray for ongoing progress and terrific results. Jessie and I have a baby girl (stella) on the way. Her due date is October 5th but we have a feelinig she might arrive a little early. October 5th also happens to be Jordan's birthday (14 this year, yikes) so we are curious to see how close she arrives to her due date. I am starting a new business so that is keeping me quite busy. Adam just moved backed to the cities this past week to finish up school and look for job in the IT field. My mom graduated school last year with a degree in Medical Assisting and works for a doctor in Duluth. My grandma passed away in February so my grandpa sold his place in Duluth and is moving back to Arizona full time as of next week. So that about catches you up on what is going on in my world. Sadly I very rarely ever get to Duluth anymore. Please keep up the hard work and feel free to email anytime you would like somone to chat with. I always have time for you. Take care and keep smiling!!! Derrick Witt <derrickwitt@aol.com> Eden Prairie, Mn - Monday, August 11, 2008 9:13 AM CDT HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY LISA - I always seem to be late with birthdays and anniversarys....but I was thinking about you on the 25th because I was thinking that we (your mom, dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev, and Uncle Mel and I) camp on or near your birthday and this year we didn't!!! But I did go to the Blueberry Festival in Ely with my family....both of my brothers and their wives and my mom and a cousin that was visiting from Arizona. We had a good day - I thought I might see Uncle Gene and Aunt Robin, but we didn't. Had the whole gang over to our house on Saturday - had fun!! This weekend Uncle Mel and I took Preslie camping at Bent Trout Lake - we rode bike, walked, played at the playground, swam, took a boat ride, colored, played the memory game and wore everyone out. Preslie fell fast asleep as I was reading her a story. The weather was beautiful and we had fun.... Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday....I'm sure your mom and dad have been busy with all their company. So we will see you all on Tuesday! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, August 3, 2008 10:13 PM CDT Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a great birthday and spent time with Cassie while she was home. Claudia and Fred were in town for a week and everyone got togather at my parents house last Sunday. Clyde and my mom went down to the Finn Fest last weekend. Clyde was there on Friday for the gunshow and my mom went with some friends on Saturday and she met the finnish president. Dennis started his new job at AJC (Arrowhead Juvenile Center) a little over a month ago. He really enjoys it. I will see you next Tuesday at your parents house for the annual picnic. Julie Walkowiak <jwalkowi@css.edu> Duluth, MN - Tuesday, July 29, 2008 12:28 AM CDT HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY LISA - I was going to write last weekend and then this birthday wish would not be late. Sounds like you did lots of celebrating and had a great week!!! Fun times - great that Cassie made it home for the night. We had a family reunion at our house - just brothers and their spouses and my mom. All our kids are busy with other things. We had a great time - ate lots and played lots of polish/monkey golf. I did the church services for both Gilbert and Eveleth today, and I had lots of my family join me their. Nice to have them in the congregation!!! Was gorgeous weather - little breezy, but that helped to keep the mosquitos away. We also went to the Blueberry Festival in Ely on Friday - Uncle Mel couldn't go. He played guitar and sang at Edgewood Vista - an assisted living home. On Friday Mel and I will be picking up Preslie and taking her camping at Bent Trout Lake. Hope the weather is wonderful for her to swim and stuff, but we will have back-up toys incase it rains. We will have fun!! Glad to here you are busy and getting around and sure is wonderful you were able to celebrate your birthday many times!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mcshi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, July 27, 2008 10:20 PM CDT Happy Happy Birthday Lisa - I hope you have a wonderful day!!! Nancy Bushey Duluth, MN usa - Friday, July 25, 2008 12:35 AM CDT Hi Lisa and family - It was so nice to see you at Cassie's grad party and what a party...you guys do it up right!!! I had a very nice visit with Danyel and Eric (talked mostly about camping at Big Sandy and that there are lots of mosquitos) and got to talk to Jeanine for a bit too. Nice seeing everyone - Cassie looks all grown up - WOW!!! Sounds like she will be moving into Jeremey's neighborhood - and it is a nice neighborhood too. We will be seeing your mom and dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev and Uncle Dale and Jackie this weekend at Big Sandy. The weather has been so nice, but doesn't sound good for tomorrow or Saturday - OH WELL!! Uncle Mel and I picked up Cooper and Preslie last Friday and we all went to the Land of the Loon parade - we had fun!! What a joy to spend time with the kids (especially with no parents). We brought them home when we came to Cassie's party. Have a good weekend and no more tipping over in your chair - that could be very dangerous. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Thursday, June 26, 2008 10:50 PM CDT Hello Dear Lisa & Family, Just a few words to catch you all up on Hunter's condition, Brittany and Hunter had to go to Abbott Childrens Hospital on Sunday June 1st, it seems that Hunter has been getting Jaundiced too much and they wanted to do a Bio on his liver. So they went to the cities and the operation was done on Monday, and while they wer doing the Surgery they checked his intestines and evrything looked real good. We were all so happy to hear the good news, they came home on June 5th. He is doing great, I am so greatful to all who prayed for ourl little guy., Than you all.. Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling too well, you are a strong and defient person and you will get through all of this, you have alot on people who Love you very much and alot who pray for you and your Family. Prayer is the biggest part of our everyday lives, without it we couldn't even function.. God does Listen... We know!!! I can not believe that all these kids are Graduation all ready, where does the time go?? I have been going to Grad parties since May 31st, every week-end there is one. Last Saturday, I went to Marcy's Daughters, Nicole Chico's, it was a very nice party. Our Courtney Graduated from Rhinelander High School. her Grad party will be on June 28th and her Aunt & Uncle home in Cloquet.. This is really a big month, I think I told you all that Junior and Pam had divorced, I think it was final in February, and Junior went to Oklahoma to go to work, he is staying with Brian, well he came home for Memorial week-end and he is still here, he and this friend(Barb) decided to get Married, and they are getting Married on Friday June 20th at the Court House here in Duluth. She is a very sweet girl, has a Daughter who is 5 years old and the sweetest little girl, She and Tylor (Juniors youngest Son) get along really well... Barb is alot younger, but hey!! what is age, just a number huh???? John & I will be going to the Wedding, it is her first and Juniors 3rd, she wants to have a small get together, at such short notice, but hey!WE have pulled things together at the drop of a hat!! Guess this is why they call us Mother's!!! Now they need a place to have this party, Barb has an older Sister who is in a Wheel Chair, and has been her whole life, so they need to find a place that will , that they can move a Wheel Chair around easily.. I am sure they will find a place, I sure hope they do, then they had mentioned Sammy's. which is also good, there will be about 15-25 people.. so not alot.. Too many things going on... I have to work all week-end, so I can not stay out late... We will be at Cassies party, I know I will, I am not sure about John, all he ever does is work!! I was really saddened of the news of Patrick Perfetti.. You just dont know what happens in your life, Sieze the time you have on this Earth and Enjoy every minute and enjoy yur Family and Friends.. We do not know when our Creator will call us home.. John is doing great after his Biopsy on his leg and the emergency appendectomy in March, the older we get the faster we fall apart!!! Well Lisa and Family, I will close for now, Congratulations Cassie and we hope for all the best in Minneapolis for you... We will continue to pray for all of Dear Neighbors and Friends... Lisa, God Bless you and your wonderful Family and keep up the good job that you are doing, you get out shopping more than I do!! You Go Girl!!! Love to all of you and may God hold you all in the Palm of his hang , we wish you all good things.. John & Phyllis Caruth & Ebony Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Monday, June 16, 2008 1:12 PM CDT Good afternoon Ms. Lisa! Just read your mom's entry for this week. You are busy, busy. Glad to hear you are feeling better - sore throats aren't any fun. So happy to hear that Cassie is doing so well - you have 2 great kids. I e-mailed your mom earlier to let her know that I won't be able to make Cassie's party but will be thinking about all of you. Nice to hear that you have been able to be out in the nice weather. We have had a few beautiful days down here so I mowed the lawn and cleaned up the patio and driveway. It was a mess from all the wind and rain. Dara and Guy had volunteers over this past week-end to roof their house - they finished Sun. afternoon so that's a huge project out of the way. Keeping busy doing whatever - loving retirement. I'm dog sitting for my nephew's dog for 2 weeks - she's a cutie. Enjoy having her here. Well my dear - you keep up the good work. Hope you continue to feel well. Have a nice day and enjoy Cassie's party. Talk to you again. Love ya - Ms Peggy Peggy Sjolund <peggyfrst60@msn.com> Forest Lake, MN USA - Tuesday, June 10, 2008 1:00 PM CDT Good morning Lisa - Waiting for my first dog....the owner called and they are running a few minutes late. Busy time of year for grooming dogs - sometimes way too busy!!!! I'm glad you, Butch and Cassie got to travel to the cities also - I didn't realize you all were going too. Glad you got to see Cassie's new neighborhood and school - now where exactly will she be living? I had thought your mom said St. Paul, but this week she said Minneapolis??? Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper and my mom came over for a barbeque on Sunday - it was gorgeous weather here. We took the kids to the playground and took a walk around the neighborhood. Had a wonderful time. After they left I got all my flowers planted and a few tomato plants also. Yesterday we hauled them all back into our porch or covered them up - frost/freeze warning. Sounds like the same for tonight, so I think we will just leave the ones inside for another night. Got our porches cleaned out and we threw away lots of stuff and Uncle Mel's Yukon is filled with stuff we are donating to a local church rummage sale. It looks much better, but we still have alot of toys in there.... Sounds like you are doing great with your therapy and hope you continue to get out on your scooter and enjoy the nice weather when able. See you soon. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, May 27, 2008 8:06 AM CDT Hi Lisa and family - We recieved Cassie's graduation invite - gorgeous picture!!! We will be there.... Hope your mom and dad enjoy their trip to the cities this weekend. I'm sure Seth and the twins love to have them come down. We stopped to see Jesse, Kelli and Preslie (Cooper was napping)on our way home from Jeremey's and had a nice visit and even went to see Homes on Parade. One home with a full size basketball court and full size scoreboard. That was unreal!!! We had fun at Jeremey's too - did lots of walking. Walked around Lake of the Isles and downtown and just all over. They have lilacs all ready!! Going to Embarrass with my mom and uncle tomorrow to the cemetary there - my grandma is buried there and some of my mom's other relatives...so we will bring flowers to them. And will also stopped to see my aunt and her family. Then the big plan for the weekend is to clean out our front and back porches. They just accumulate so much stuff... Also plan on getting together with Jesse, Kelli and the kids - either up here for a picnic or go to Gordy's Hi-Hat or something. Not sure yet!! Have a great weekend.... We had a wonderful time babysitting last week and we went to Proctor yesterday to visit Jesse, Kelli and the kids. Did a little shopping (I hate shopping and shopped til I got a headache and quick). Just too many people and not finding exactly what I wanted. I was looking for scrapbooking stuff, and I don't deal well with not finding the right stuff and lots of people in my way!! Anyway all in all we had a good trip. Jesse and Kelli are planning a rummage sale the 17th of May - City wide rummage sales in Proctor that weekend. Uncle Mel and I will be in Minneapolis visiting Jeremey. Hope all is well with you and wishing you a Wonderful MOTHER'S DAY!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, May 4, 2008 7:34 PM CDT Hi Lisa - Great that you are writing on the web page....that is wonderful. Nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine on your scooter!! I'm sure your mom and dad are having a wonderful time in Vegas and before you know it they will be home. Uncle Mel and I are going to babysit for Preslie and Cooper tomorrow....I think we will go on a date and go out to eat at Red Lobster. Preslie loves shrimp and so that is a place she loves to eat and Cooper is not that fussy where he goes to eat. I'm sure we will have a wonderful day whatever we do. We had a Mother/Daughter banquet tonight at our church - had a great meal and awesome music - a group called Amazing Grace. With a keyboard player, couple of guitars, a banjo and two singers. Really enjoyed listening to them. Monday night we had a leak in our new roof (was just put on in February) - only leaked in the attic and in our guest room. I had all my scrapbooking stuff set up in the guest room and it was dripping on Preslie's book - nothing really got wrecked because we noticed in time. The roofers were here bright and early Tuesday morning and repair the flashing around the chimney and they also had to tear up the attic flooring to take out the insulation and now they are waiting to all that to dry and will replace the insulation. And they have to repair the ceiling in the guest room, and the wall and maybe the carpeting. Will see how it all looks when dry. Keep up with your exercises and take care of yourself.... Gotta keep up some how. Hope Butch is over his cold now - sometimes they hand on forever. How was Cassie's trip to Branson - or are they back yet? Another month or two and she will be graduating - WOW!! We had a wonderful time visiting with your mom and dad last weekend. It was great getting together with everybody at Olive Garden too.... We really should do that more often!!! We got tons of snow Saturday night, Sunday night and even on Monday. Like 32 inches all together - that is way to much. We cancelled church here in Gilbert on Sunday, so I didn't have to do that service, but we had church in Eveleth so I did the service there. I had no problems getting around in the snow. AWD on my car is great!!! I love it!! Sounds like more snow coming tonight - sounds as if Duluth will be getting more than we will up here. That is okay with me...but really none of us needs any more snow. Tonight Uncle Mel and myself are taking my mom and brother out for dollar burgers....my niece works at the resort on Sand Lake that serves the burgers, so we will go and visit her and eat too. Good deal for burgers... Mom and I went to a chick flick (put on by the Soroptomists to raise money for breast cancer research). We saw "Because I Said So" - it was really good. Enjoyed ourselves and there were tons of ladies there. We went as part of my red hat group. Take care and I hope you are able to get out and exercise this week. Stay healthy!! Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Thursday, April 10, 2008 10:13 AM CDT http://geo.ya.com/kotimare/ popkus pipkus <pipkus> Kiev, Kiev Ukraine - Thursday, April 10, 2008 9:34 AM CDT Hi Lisa & All, Thought I would write a few things in here, it's been a while. I ran into your Mom (Sandy) at Super One last week, I was telling her that Brittany had her Baby early, he was born @3:38am March 23rd. (Easter Sunday), Brittany had to have a C-Section. Her water broke at 12midnite, I rushed her to St. Mary's, we were there by 12:15.. What a night that was.. They wanted to airlift her to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, but it was snowing really heavy there and no where safe to land the Helicopter, so they were going to ambulance her, but her labor was coming really hard, they tried to slow it down or even stop it so they could transport her, but they were afraid she would have the baby in the Ambulance and they needed a sterile place for the baby... they decided to an emergency C-section and put the baby in nicu right away.. They had to wrap his intestines with moist gauze and then wrap them around him with plastic wrap to keep the intestines damp... They then transported him to Abbott Childrens Hospital by Ambulance and he had his Surgery @3pm that day.(Easter Sunday). He weighed 5#10oz and was 18 and one fourth inches long. He was born 5 and a half weeks early.. He is one precious and lucky little boy. Brittany is now in Minneapolis with her little guy, she went on March 27th, the day after she was discharged. She was so very sore and tired. They put her up in The Sheraten Hotel, only a few blocks from the Hospital where the baby is.. They named him (Hunter William Farmer). He should be coming home in about a month or so.. I wanted to have a Baby Shower for her before he came, but he was just in a hurry to come.. So I will plan on Shower for her and the Baby sometime in May, when she and the baby are home.. Junior is all excited about his little Grandson and so is Anne. The kids are all excited also. Tylor has 2 little nephews now, his older Sister Kelly, had a Baby Boy in December of last year.. Everyone seems to be doing just fine. It has been one heck of a year all ready. Brittanys younger brother Josh fell off the roof at Menards in Rhinelander Wi and broke his back. We all thought he would have no lower body movement, it seems the place where he broke his back whas way below the spine and above his butt bone, they did put a plate and four screws. He was hospitalized for about two weeks, he had just gotten out of the Hospital and Annies Dad passed away on March 10th. They had to drive all the way from Rhinelander, Josh had to take his pain pills for the ride. He is doing really grat now.. The Doctor gave him the o.k to drive now. He drove Brittany from Mpls to home today, Brandons family gave her a Baby Shower today. She got alot of stuff. I am so happy for her, she says now all she needs are clothes and diapers for her little man. Annies Dad was Resident of Wesley, so I got to see him and Lois(Annies Mom) all the time, it was really sad to see him get so sick so many times , he was in and out of the hospital all the time.. He had told us that he was ready to go.. so he didn't want to go into the hospital this last time, so they had a Hospice Nurse come in every day.. Sorry to hear that you had not been feeling too well, it is this weather, nice one day and snowing the next.. Well Lisa that is what's happening in our lives, John & I are Great Grandparents!!!WOW!! How about that???? Our Love and prayers are with you and your family every day and night. And thanks to all your Family who prayed for our Brittany and her little boy.. He still needs prayers that he heals fast and comes home soon.. Good-night Lisa and family, Love from The Caruth's Phyllis & John & Ebony pcaruth@yahoo.com P.S Good Luck Cassie in your play Rebel without a cause, your going to be great!!! Back to the same routine. Seth joined a Spring Basketball league, it runs through May-not too long. He has a tournament this weekend in Rogers, MN (Tim-buck-two). I am working at Lakeview in Stillwater -it is Saturday am. I work here Sunday also. I thought I would pick up two Fridays this month since I had so much time off last month. I hope you have had a great week. I looked on the WDIO website and saw Cassie. I also saw George Clooney kiss Joan Koski and Judy Newman-what a ladies man. It was fun to see people I knew on the website. Cassie was funny too. Well dear have a wonderful weekend. I miss you-Love You Teresa Rae and the boys - Saturday, April 5, 2008 2:55 AM CDT Hello Lisa glad you and your family are keeping busy. You are an inspiration to all of us! Have a terrific day! Derrick <derrickwitt@aol.com> eden prairie, mn - Sunday, March 30, 2008 6:12 PM CDT Hello Lisa, Butch and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CASSIE!!!! I can't believe Cassie is 18 years old - seems like Lisa was just 18 not to long ago..... Sounds like you guys had a busy and fun week with Teresa and family visiting and all. GREAT!!! Uncle Mel and I picked up Preslie and Cooper on Friday and they spent the night - we had a wonderful time playing, and playing and playing. Cooper went right to bed when it was time, but Preslie and I read 3 books and then 3 more and she was off to sleep also. The Easter bunny came early to Gilbert, so we had Easter morning on Saturday. Cooper and Preslie found lots of eggs - full of money or candy.... They had a great time!! We had Easter dinner on Saturday also - my brothers and their families, my mom and my uncle, and of course Jesse, Kelli and Jeremey. 16 of us.... Uncle Mel had also played guitar and sang at an Assisted Living place in Biwabik that afternoon too, so we had a busy day. Went to church Easter morning, but other than that it was a quiet day. I got lots done though - church treasurer stuff and minutes from my last District meeting. Glad to hear you are doing more walking with your walker - that is awesome. Keep up the good work!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Tuesday, March 25, 2008 8:09 AM CDT Hey Lisa.. Can you believe that Cassie is going to be 18.... Taylor turned 18 too. this week. time flys. What the heck happened to our beauty school days... they sure seem like yesterday.. but then it seems like it was a million years away. Well I think of you all the time and hope that you are feel good. take care my friend Patty Parker Patricia parker <patricia.parker@pca.state.mn.us> duluth, mn us - Monday, March 17, 2008 10:58 AM CDT Hope you an family have a wonderful easter .. try an read you site each week you are really a busy girl,, god bless you ..love penny cuz penny usack <pennsack@msn.com> proctor, minnesota - Monday, March 10, 2008 1:07 AM CDT Hi Lisa - Hope all is well with you and your family. Have you gotten used to your new PCA? I'm sure they will be changing every now and then....that happens. An amazing thing happened last week - Uncle Mel and I picked up my cousin from the Duluth airport and as we were waiting for Bonnie to get off the plane - here comes Uncle Don off the plane. He was returning from Denver on a business trip. We hadn't seen him in a long time - he looks good. It was late at night, so we didn't visit long. But it was pretty amazing to think that we would be picking someone up coming from Arizona and we meet Don. WOW!!! My mom is going to have surgery on Wednesday... they will be taking out half of her left lung. Doctors are very optimistic that will take out all of the cancer and that she will be fine. She will be in the hospital for a week or two and may even come home with oxygen, but we will deal with that when the time comes. PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS!!! I'm going to spend a couple of nights with Jesse and Kelli - and get to spend time with the kids too. Then I will be in Duluth to see my mom everyday. Say hi to everyone and take care of yourself. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, March 9, 2008 10:02 PM CDT Good Afternoon Lisa and family - Beautiful sunny day, but cool.... We went to Proctor last night to visit with Jesse, Kelli and the kids. Jeremey is home, so he came with us also. We brought pizza from Sammy's and ice cream for desert. Had a wonderful time playing!! Mom and I met with her doctor on Thursday and we found out she does have lung cancer, BUT the good news is it is just in her upper left lung - it has not spread anywhere else. AND her breathing has improved enough with her new inhalers to be able to have surgery. Once the cancer is taken out of her lung, she will be cured. She will not need radiation or chemo or anything like that. We meet with a surgeon in Duluth next Thursday for a consultation....and find out when the surgery will take place. It is a major surgery and she will be in the hospital for a bit, but sounds encouraging since it hasn't spread or anything like that. Hard to believe it is March 1st allready - Robin's birthday!!! Been busy here working, working, working!!! Glad to have a couple days off and get some house work done - changed sheets on the bed, do laundry, etc. Take care of yourself and I'm sure you will get to know your new PCA as well as you did Sam. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, MN - Saturday, March 1, 2008 1:58 PM CST Hello Dear Sweet Lisa, Glad to see that you are doing well! I'm sorry that your Sam had to leave! I'm sure that Rachel will be a great help and friend to you! You have been and will be in my prayers! How are your adorable kittens? They sure are cute! You are so lucky to be able to have pets! I am highly allergic to cats. Found that out when we adopted one, and couldn't breathe. That was scary! Had a doctor confirm it. It was sad, because I love cats! So give your kittens a big hug for me, please! Erik is coming along at home here. His siatic nerve has been giving him lots of pain, so he is working on that now. He sees his hemotologist tomorrow to check on his platelet count. If it goes too high it could cause blood clotting now. So from one extreme to another! So, please keep him in your prayers. Thanks so much! I see how busy your family is! Wow! Good for you guys! Keep going, my friend! I am so very proud of you! You are a sweetheart and you deserve the very best in life! So hang in there! Love ya, Connie Connie Dahlen <cdoggies@charter.net> Duluth, Mn USA - Monday, February 25, 2008 11:53 AM CST Hi Lisa and family - Back to reality for us....we just came back from our vacation out west. My mom, my aunt Leona, Cousin Darcy and her husband Dale and Uncle Mel and I flew to Las Vegas on Feb 4th - stayed there a couple of nights and then rented a van and drove to Arizona - first stop Lake Havasu City. We spent two nights there also - it was so nice for my mom to meet with lots of her "snowbird" friends. It was nice and sunny and great to walk around without big boots, winter jackets, etc. We then all headed to Prescott and Sedona(more in the mountains). The weather was little cooler there, but when we went hiking, we only had t-shirts on. After a few nights visiting with my cousin Bonnie and her husband and daughters and their families we moved on to Phoenix. Weather there was absolutely gorgeous....sat in my cousin Carol's backyard and soaked up the sun. We went to a Ghost Town and had a picnic in the desert. After a few nights there, the six of us headed back to Vegas and did lots of walking, not much gambling, saw one show, but just enjoyed the weather. Flew home late Friday night and here we are!!! Today after church Mel and I went to Duluth - saw Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper. Jesse and Preslie went skating - so we went to watch for a little while. Preslie does pretty good if she just remembers to slow down - she even had her little hockey stick and was hitting the puck around. Now she wants shin pads, shoulder pads and hockey gloves!!! Also got together with Bob and Bev to plan a few camping dates - your mom and dad weren't around (they were at Teresa and Bryan's - but you knew that). So we will have to check the dates out with them and see if they will work!!! Keep on working hard - and keep on walking. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, February 17, 2008 10:27 PM CST Hi Weeza- Hi Honey-Bryan told me you called while I was sleeping. He forgot to tell me -he remembered as I was getting ready for work. So I will try and talk to you tomorrow once I wake up from sleeping. All is well here, it is Valentines week, the kids are having their preschool party tomorrow. Seth will bring something special on Thursday since it is his birthday-I cannot believe he is going to be 10!!!! Wow wee. He usually brings Krispy Creme donuts, but they closed (not too many people eating donuts these days). So Bryan is going to bring him to the grocery store and get something from the bakery for his class. Yes, I was sick Friday. Caught a 24 hour bug. Wasn't pretty, was sick in the am and slept all day until 2 ish. Then was slow moving the rest of the day. Seth had basketball, they won the first two games on Saturday and played for the championship on Sunday. They lost by 5 points to a team they have beat before. So they just didn't play well. But 2nd place in a 5th grade tournament is still really good. We are excited to have mom and dad come down this weekend. Seth has his party on Saturday at Lifetime Fitness (4th year in a row). They just play gym games and eat pizza. Should be fun for a bunch of 10 year olds. Well dear I hope all is well. Take care. We miss you! Happy Engagement Anniversary-Butch did propose on Valentines didn't he??? It has been a very dificult time. Lots of doctors and hospitals! He has no insurance, so we are trying to get him some help. He has had 9 infusions, a bone marrow test, and just had his spleen removed. We have him home now. He is in a lot of pain, but is doing okay. It was great seeing your mom on Thursday! She hasn't changed one bit! She is such a sweetheart! Love her to pieces! So please keep our Erik in your prayers for healing and insurance help. Thanks so much! I know all we can do is pray for each other , and God will help each and every one of us! Stay strong! You have alot of wonderful people in your life that love you and help you! Should be warmer tomorrow...at least I hope so. Lets see what have we been up to? Last Saturday my mom and I took the bus to see the play "Church Basement Ladies" - it was very funny and enjoyable. Glad we went... Sunday was UMW Sunday - so I did the sermon and had help from some of the other ladies too. Busy week at work - trying to get lots of dogs done before we go on vacation next week. We (there will be 6 of us) are flying to Vegas and spending a couple nights - then renting a car and heading to Arizona. We will go to Lake Havasu City (where my mom and Peyton used to winter), then Prescott and Sedona and last of all to Phoenix - back to Vegas for a few more days and then home. Pat Pat Anscomb <panscomb@msn.com> Duluth, Mn - Wednesday, January 30, 2008 8:41 PM CST Hi Weeza- Has it been awhile since I have written??? Well you know tomorrow is the day that you made happen :), Mom and Dad's 42nd Anniversary. That means you will be 42 this year too!! It was great talking to you the other day. I hope you enjoyed your movie (Wild hogs). I spent my weekend cleaning. I had worked the past two Fridays (48 hours in a week). So I had to take the time to clean my house. Also we decided to get our kitchen counters and floor replaced and the main bathroom floor. We are doing tile for the floors. Thought we better update it - if we ever want to sell it. A retired fellow is doing it. Hopefully it won't take him too long. Well dear I am at work. So I thought I would check on your website. Have a great day at home tomorrow. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD-42 YEARS OF WEDDED BLISS!!! Keep up the good work at therapy. Miss you-love you! Teresa <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Tuesday, January 29, 2008 2:39 AM CST HI There Lisa and family, It has been awhile since I have written anything in here. Brian and Family were home for Christmas, Brian gave Angela a diamond ring and asked Angela to marry him!! It was so sweet!! Brian and Brody were stuck in Kansas for a day and a half , on the trip up here. They were stuck in a snowstorm in Kansas, can you believe that?? I thought it only snowed in Minnesota(ha ha)!!! It was nice seeing them, and the Baby, who is not a Baby anymore, Samantha is 16months old now and walking and almost talking. She is really one spoiled little girl. This is Angelas parents first Grandchild. So you know what parents do with the first born grandchild!!Yup(spoil them ) Junior and his Girl Friend were up in the State of Washington for Christmas. This is where Jr's friends little 6 year Girl lives with her Father. She is trying to regain custody and bring her back to Minnesota or Wisconsin, I sure hope she does it... It is a really complicated ordeal, that I really do not know too much about and I will just keep quiet and if she wants me to know anything she will tell me !! I had a houseful on Christmas Day, it was really nice, I enjoyed it alot , but so glad it is over and now we can all wait for Summer and then The Holidays again!!! Your cats are adorable!! I saw one of them sitting in the window last week on my way home from Falks Pharmacy and work. Animals are such great company, I don't know what I would do without my litttle Dog Ebony!!She is my baby girl!!! Brittany is in her 6 month of Pregnancy, she is due April 29th of May 2nd.. She will have to have the Baby in Minneapolis, The Baby (it is a Boy!! ) has his intestines outside of his stomach. It is called(Gastrochisis) what they will do once the baby is born is they will take him to the Childrens Hospital(Gillette) and perform surgery to put his intestines back in his little body. He will have to stay in the Hospital for 3-4 weeks. Brittany will be staying there at Ronald McDonald house. We will never understand why things like this happen, It is like the saying, Everything happens for a reason, and it is up to us to find out what that reason is!!!! She has to go to Mpls 2 weeks before the baby is due and talk to social workers about her financial obligations, She and her boyfriend both work for min wage and no insurance, She works at Gordons Jewlery and Brandon works at Sammys, they are not considered full time, so they do not have insurance. Brittany does get medical from medica, thank goodness!! Well Lisa I will send this off, take care and we think of you all the time and you are all in our prayers all the time. Please keep Brittany and her baby boy in your prayers that his Surgery will go fine and that Brittany will be all right!! Thanks all , Keep on keeping on Lisa girl.. You are doing AWESOME!!!!!!! Love to all of yur Family!!! Phyllis & John Caruth & Ebony.... Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Tuesday, January 15, 2008 11:34 AM CST Good evening Lisa - HAPPY MONDAY!! We had kind of a quiet weekend. We were babysitting a little Shih-tzu who went home on Friday night, but we also are watching two schnauzers who will be with us until Jan. 26th. So they kept us busy taking walks and stuff like that. Saturday I had a meeting in Virginia - with a pot luck lunch and Saturday night Uncle Mel and I went out to eat with my brother and his wife and then we went in their hot tub. That was great!!! I love the hot tub - the hardest part is walking outside with your swimsuit on and no shoes in the snow. Once you are in it is wonderful and you get so warm that coming out is no problem. Sunday was church and I had a Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee meeting - had a spaghetti dinner first. That afternoon Uncle Mel and I went to visit my uncle (his wife died just before Christmas) and had a nice visit. Then I started working on Financial stuff for the end of the year for the Church (I'm the treasurer). I am still working on the papers and I might be working on them at this time next year still. They are awful... Enjoy your week and work hard at therapy. And we were glad to see Willie is doing good in his schooling. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, - Monday, January 14, 2008 7:02 PM CST Hi there Miss Lisa - so nice to hear you are doing well. Great to hear you have been walking, cooking etc. You go girl!! Not much happening down here. Dara & Guy are anxiously waiting to hear they have been selected by a birth mom to adopt a child. They keep busy with work, church, house stuff etc. I manage to keep busy doing whatever - always something to do. Days go by so fast, can't believe it. Dara is coming out for dinner tonight because she is volunteering at the Youth Service Bureau in Forest Lake. Nice to have her stop in for awhile. Sounds like you are pretty busy as well. Glad to hear you and your family are doing well. Keep up the good work. Think of you often. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Have a good one. We had been there over the weekend too - picked up Twix (there dog) and brought her home for a grooming and brought her back on Sunday. She looks much better now... We also had lunch with Gene and Robin on Saturday - we never had a chance to see them over the holidays. We had a wonderful visit. I also bought a new car - found it on Saturday and bought it on Monday. It is a 2005 Chrysler 300 - it is beautiful and AWD too. Just love it!!! We are babysitting a little shih-tzu until Friday and we have two schnauzers coming tomorrow to babysit until the 26th of January. So our house will be utter chaos for a bit.... Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Thursday, January 3, 2008 7:42 AM CST HAPPY NEW YEARS LISA AND FAMILY....Did you guys celebrate the coming of the New Year? Mel and I stayed home, we did plan on going to my brothers for hot tubbing after a dinner out, but my sister-in-law had to work. So we decided to do dinner and a movie....BUT Jesse was kind enough to share his cold he had on Christmas with his parents and Mel was achy and feverish, so we stayed home. I just have a stuffy nose and lots of sneezing. Kind of nice actually to relax - read some and just lazed around. Today I did my quarterly taxes for the business - and I plan on working more on tax stuff later and some end of the year stuff as Treasurer of my church. Will see how ambitious I am - or I may just go visit my mom and waste the rest of the day. Stay warm and work hard in therapy. I rarely see him, however, he was around Monday when I woke up... he was going to work at 5pm. I can't believe he is going to be 22 in a few days. Where did the time go?? It was fun.. and we had fun..Well I can't wait to see you guys after the holidays we will be up Wednesday or Thursday - you know I have to shop the day after Christmas and get my 50% off Christmas cards and gift sets. I miss not having a cat - we always have had one....maybe someday I'll go to the Humane Society and get one (maybe)!!! We went to Preslie's Christmas Program today - those kids are just so fun and do such a wonderful job. My aunt died last Thursday, so we have family flying in from all over and after Preslie's program we picked up my cousins daughter Rainee (not sure what kind of relative she is) and her son Beau. We had a nice visit on the drive back to Virginia. Had a family get-together in the afternoon and Mel and I went to a Christmas concert at the college in the evening. Long day, but fun. On Saturday, we got together at Jesse and Kelli's for a Christmas party with my brother and his family from Hastings. They usually don't make it up here for Christmas, so we had an early Christmas. Had fun - I love getting together with family. Been busy grooming dogs - unbelievably busy!!! Long days, but only one week and a day and then I'll go back to only 4 days a week. That will be nice!!! Sounds like you are doing fairly well with you therapy - keep it up. Have a Merry Christmas and we hope to see you at your mom and dad's for brunch on Christmas day. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mschi.com> Gilbert, - Sunday, December 16, 2007 10:32 PM CST Hi everyone! Just thought I'd say Merry Christmas! I still go to therapy 3 days aweek. He went to Tre's birthday at the Embassy suites after his game. They swam, ate pizza, and played arcade games. Sunday he went snow boarding all day-Bryan took him. The twins and I were at home and then we went to the YMCA. We all met up at Aunt Lois' for Sunday dinner. I took a nap and then it was off to work again. Cassie sure is a busy girl, sounds like she has a lot on her plate, cheerleading, the school news paper, the school yearbook, solid gold, band, plus she is in the play at school! Wow weeeeeeeeeeee!!! I hope your week goes well. Miss you, Love You- Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Wednesday, November 28, 2007 4:29 AM CST Hello Lisa, Butch and Cassie and family - So you guys are looking for another cat....someday just the right one will find its way into your home and hearts. I still miss a cat and it has been like 3 years, BUT we always had a cat and I some days I think I would like another one. Maybe one day a cat will find its way into our home and hearts too. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving - everyone from my side of the family came here....14 of us. The big hits were Preslie and Cooper - they are just so much fun. My brother and family from Hastings didn't make it and it was his birthday too. Mel, my mom and I are going there this coming Thursday. We will drop mom at Mike's in Hastings and Mel and I will continue on and go to Jeremey's for a few days. We plan on doing a little shopping, and going to the HolliDazzle parade. Of course you guys had quite a crowd at your mom's for Thanksgiving - so much fun!!! We plan on being at your mom and dad's for Christmas morning and head to Proctor late morning to see Jesse, Kelli and the kids and then back to Virginia to my brothers to celebrate with his family. Busy, busy month coming up work wise - working 5 days a week once I get back from Jeremeys. Oh well..... Glad your doing so well and it is so great to hear you are back walking again. See you for sure at Christmas!!! Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, MN - Sunday, November 25, 2007 10:41 PM CST Hello Lisa... I am so very happy for you that you have such an incredible family. So much love and fun and trust. My family isn't like that anymore and I miss it so much. I long for the days when me and my sisters and my mom would sit around the kitchen table just talking and laughing. I read about how you are doing every week to keep updated and I think also I read it because it makes me feel good inside. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful thanksgiving... you are one family that deserves it. I read and can feel the love that your mother has for you and what a great job she did raising you and now I get to read about your kids and you can see that your mothers qualities are definitely in you and in Cassie. I would love to get together maybe after the holidays so we can catch up. I miss you and I hope that we can reconnect and be there for each other. (Like we used to be) :) I will talk to you soon my friend... Patty Parker <patrica.parker@pca.state.mn.us> Duluth, MN - Wednesday, November 21, 2007 10:30 AM CST HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! I was just catching up on your week reading the website. It sounds like you are enjoying your company during the day, going to therapy, and preparing dinners for your family. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!! Bryan told me you called Saturday, sorry I forgot to call you back. I worked Friday, Seth had games Saturday, I slept in the afternoon, and I don't remember what happened Saturday night. Sunday Seth played basketball at 8 am and they won the championship game, in a 5th grade tournament (they are 4th graders). After we went to the Country Buffet and then I convinced Bryan to come with the kids and I to the YMCA. We worked out and then went swimming, the kids love the slide there. Then they headed to Aunt Lois' for Sunday dinner, I took a nap and then went to work at Woodwinds Sunday night. Then of course it was work at Gillette Monday and Tuesday night, here it is Wednesday morning-we are hanging around for our monthly meeting. Today after I wake up the twins and I go to the YMCA, they have swimming lessons every Wednesday. Luckily, they are the only two in their class this time. Seth has Spanish after school today also, Bryan picks him up. Bryan has drill this weekend, so I am not picking up Friday for work. Seth doesn't have any basketball this weekend. Sooooooooooooooooo we will have to find something fun to do this weekend. Well dear I will give you a call tomorrow when you don't have therapy! I look forward to seeing this Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will be up later in the day on the holiday (we are goig to Lois first then heading up to duluth). Willie misses you, he has your family photo up on his keyboard....isn't that sweet. Miss you, love you! Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Wednesday, November 14, 2007 6:46 AM CST Hoi Lisa and Family - Scary to think that your mom and dad have had their identity stolen.....really scary. I don't know how you go about fixing it, but I sure hope things turn out fine. Glad to hear that you have a hoyer lift - nice piece of equipment for one person to use to lift you if needed. They do take up a lot of space to store, but nice thing to have. So you started Christmas shopping - great. We did too. Haven't done a lot, but we have started. We went to see Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper last Friday - we played tons of games with Preslie. Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Children's Sequence and Trouble. Sometimes I think Preslie makes up her own rules - but we had fun. Saturday I had a District meeting in Cook and came home and made dog biscuits. We are on Thanksgiving treats for the dogs now. Sunday had church and Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee meeting. Then I went to visit my mom and pick up a few groceries. Busy time of year for me (business wise) - I don't have any openings for dogs until after Christmas now. Next month I'm working mainly five days a week too. I'll be ready for a break come January. Continue your walking too - that is great!! Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mschi.com> Gilbert, MN - Tuesday, November 13, 2007 10:14 PM CST Hi Lisa and family,it sounds like you have been putting some miles on your new wheelchair and I can't believe Cassie will be graduating from highschool already. I don't if my mom said anything to your mom when she seen her walking, but Aunt Claudia and Uncle Fred sold their house and moved to Texas a month ago. Uncle Kevin and Aunt Linda are expecting there first grandchild in the spring - Arthur and his girlfriend are having a baby. You know things are not the same since Grampa Art and Gramma Betty left us, because we never get together anymore. We don't have someone like your mom in our family to organize the events. Dennis built their garage this summer and Stacy and the boys supervised too make sure it got done right. Brenden went around and tighten all the bolts. Dakota is in 6th grade at Morgan park this year and is doing good so far. Brenden is in 3rd grade at MacCarther and still loves school. My mom and dad say hi and I need to get back to work so I will talk too you later. Julie Walkowiak <jwalkowi@css.edu> Duluth, Mn - Tuesday, November 6, 2007 8:11 AM CST Hi again Lisa - I forgot to mention that Kelli is doing much better now.... She is still on blood thinners and will be for quite awhile - she still has the blood clot, but they are hoping her body will absorb it soon. Kelli plans on going back to work tomorrow. She spent the weekend at her sister Kami's - Jesse went deer hunting and will be home on Tuesday. That's all!!! DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> Gilbert, MN - Sunday, November 4, 2007 5:53 PM CST Hi Lisa and Family - Hope all is well with you on this beautiful fall day - hard to believe it is November.... So are you getting used to your scooter chair - kind of neat to be able to get around on your own. Sure do hope your PCA are working our well for you. Did you guys get lots of trick or treaters? The weather was horrid on Halloween night and we only had 38 trick or treaters!!! It was so windy and cold - it was nice the couple of days before and the days after. Mel played guitar at an assisted living place in Biwabik on Halloween afternoon, so my mom and I went to listen and we brought them treats too. Mel went to the cities this weekend for a big guitar sale thing - he sold some equipment and bought some other stuff. He went with Bob Stanford. I did a couple of bazaars and Saturday evening went to Grand Rapids to see Southern Fried Chicks - it was 4 commediennes and they were so funny. I went with my Red Hat group. We also had a delicious meal at the Sawmill in Grand Rapids. Today was church and walking the couple of dogs we are babysitting. We also bought groceries - how exciting!!! I had to get the bread for communion today and so I did.... had it on the kitchen counter and when I went to the bazaars, the 2 dogs we are babysitting ate my bread!!! I was so mad!! We have had the dogs here before, and they have never done anything like that before - what stinkers. I found other bread in my freezer and that is what we used for Communion today. Hope all is well and that you had a great week. Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Sunday, November 4, 2007 5:24 PM CST Congrats!! I bet that wheel chair is awesome. Now you can go at your own pace...LOL I wish Tyler's report cards were a little like Cassie's! No permit for him!! Well just touching base with ya... Cherri Cherri Johnson <Cherri68@hotmail.com> Duluth, mn us - Tuesday, October 30, 2007 9:15 AM CDT Congratulations Lisa on your motorized wheelchair - it is wonderful that you can get around on your own!!! Our weekend had some ups and downs - first on Friday we had Preslie's 4th birthday party. What fun all the great-grandmas, grandparents, uncles and aunts and ofcourse Preslie's cousins and Cooper. Lots of loud kids and presents. Nice to see everyone. BUT Friday night Kelli ended up in the hospital. She had been having a sore back and was exhausted, but everyone thought it was from planning for the party, working, school and kids, husband, etc. Anyway she had a blood clot in her lung. She came home today - on blood thinners and they are still trying to figure out why she got a blood clot. It was Kelli's birthday today, so I'm glad she got to go home. We made a quick trip to Proctor today to see if we could help at all - just ended up playing with Preslie mostly. Anyway keep Kelli in your prayers and we are hoping the doctors can figure this out. Did church services in Gilbert and Eveleth today - and tomorrow night I'm speaking at an open meeting. Keep up the good work with your therapy and so glad for your motorized wheelchair.... Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mschi.com> - Sunday, October 28, 2007 9:32 PM CDT Guess what? I got a motorisd Chair. It is so nice I don't need people to push me any more. We still need to get ramps for the suv though. But it was so nice for therapy today. Feel free for all of you to stop by anytime. I really enjoy visitors.Talk to you soon. Lisa Lisa Greene <blwcgreene@msn.com> Duluth, Mn. usa - Wednesday, October 24, 2007 3:00 PM CDT Good evening Lisa and Family - Hope all is going well in your very busy family. Cassie seems to be so busy with cheering and other school stuff. That is really good though!! We had a wonderful time with Preslie and Cooper last week. We had them from 8:00 a.m. until after supper. Was an absolutely great day - we even went to visit my mom and walk around one of the lakes in Virginia. Both the kids were terrific. Now Mel and I plan on going to babysit at there house maybe every two months or so. Look forward to spending time with the grandkids - one on one. Last Saturday my mom and I went to visit my aunt in Embarrass. We had a fun visit with my cousins who were there visiting too. Sunday after church and stuff I started on my sermon for this coming Sunday. Still have to finish it, but it will get done. Have a great week and I hope to see you soon. Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Tuesday, October 23, 2007 10:12 PM CDT Hi Weeza- Sorry I didn't get to talk to you long, I know you were calling to see how Willie's first day went at school. He is going to be busy. However, he is really excited for school. I can't wait to see you! Miss you! Love, Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Tuesday, October 16, 2007 8:59 PM CDT Hello Lisa and Family - So nice that you have a PCA now to help on/off Stride bus and therapy at Bayview!! And great to have supper ready for Butch and Cassie when they come home. Should help alot, but they have to be able to stand you up to go to the toilet also!!! We have been busy....but I'm not sure exactly what we've been doing. On the first weekend in October we had a Fall Assembly that we hosted and I made centerpieces for all the tables that they gave away as prizes - made 12 birch bark vases filled with all sorts of dried flowers. They turned out pretty good. This past weekend Dan Johnson came up to spend the night - haven't seen him in years. He is doing very well and we all had a nice visit. I also went to our Charge Conference at our church Sat. afternoon. Friday night we went to Superior to listen to Bill and Kate Isles play at Red Mug, but if I had read the info earlier, we certainly would of come to hear Butch sing. I would of loved that!! Oh well, guess I have to read each week - no matter how busy. On Wednesday, Jesse is bringing Cooper and Preslie here for us to babysit while he goes up to the hunting shack and get stuff ready for deer hunting. I'm looking forward to lots of playing. We are also babysitting for 2 schnauzer's while their mom and dad are in Mexico. Will be here for another week or so. They are good dogs - lots of energy. They are agility dogs and Greta (the older one) is a master champion agility dog and they travel all over the country doing agility shows. So the dogs are really well behaved. We spoil them and they get to sleep with us and everything. Well, take care!!! Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Monday, October 15, 2007 8:40 PM CDT Hi Lisa & Butch & Family, Thought I would write to you and tell you how sorry I am about Tigger! We have been in Oklahoma since last Thursday. We just got back last night which was Friday night. We visited with Brian and Angela and Brody and Samantha, who is 14 months old now and running all over the place. They sure do grow fast!! Brian & Angela are renting to own a nice Home in the country, They have 2 acres and a 3 bedroom house. The house is really nice, but it is so far from the city!! It takes Brian 45 minutes to an hour to get to work .. Brody takes a bus to School and has to catch the bus at 7:00am.. Angela does not swork so she is at home with Samanta all day, and she said that she does get a little bored because she has to drive so far to go to the store. I like the house and all that, but I wouldn't like living so far out from the city.. We all had a good visit. Brian went to his Doctor last Monday and had Diabetic testing done and the results came back on Friday, he has type 2 diabetes and he will not have to have insulin shots, but he will have to take the pills and lose alot of weight.. He has gained alot of weight since they moved to Oklahoma.. Must be be the good ole country cooking and country living. Our little Grandaughter is a blast.. They are coming Home for Christmas. I bought a nice white crib at a garage sale, it is Jenny Lind style.. Really nice, now I will have to make some room for it in the spare bedroom.. I am now in the process of finding a used High Chair for the Baby when they come home.. Going to Oklahoma is sure a long ride.. We had Johns Sister and her Hubby and their little Dog Shad-0, and of course we had Ebony. It really wasn't all that bad or cramped.. We did stop alot. Our old bones can't take sitting in one position for too long!! HA HA!!(true tho) We went to Iowa last month, Johns Sisters Grandson was killed in a bizarre accident, he was riding on the tailgate of a pick up truck in Lake of the Ozarks at a Campground and he fell off the back, he had some serious Head injuries. The guy who was driving the pick-up also lost his wife who also fell off the back (tailgate)... they were driving about 8-10 miles an hour and the guy had to speed up a little , I guess their are alot of steep hills in the Ozarks, and he sped up to get up this one hill and that is when they both fell off the tailgate.. The girl was pronounced dead at the Hospital and Our Great Nephew died on September 9th. three days after his 28th Birthday.. He was a Fireman in DesMoines Iowa. We went to the Funeral and I have never seen a Funeral that had so many people there. and it was so sad!! He was so young!and had alot going for him!! Johns Sister lost her only Son 23 years on September 9th!! So it has been extremely hard for her and her Daughter Cindy, the Mom of the Boy who died!! The Funeral was really nice, they had all the Captains from each Fire Dept from Des Moines and surrounding areas, they had Fireman from Missouri, and Kansas and Arkansas!! It was really a big and Beautifull Funeral...... While we were in Oklahoma the weather was in the 90's, the whole week we were there.. Johnny said it had been really cold here... all last week.. Today was a really nice day, John got the lawn mowed and most of the leave raked up, while I did a mountain of Laundry !! I was going to the Super One when I saw you and Butch today!! You are looking good Lisa Marie!!!! I am really happy that you have someone to come in now.. Now you have someone to talk with and someone to make sure that you are doing your excersizes!! But mostly the feeling of security you have that someone is there with you all day!!! Our little Brittany is expecting a Baby in May 0f 2008!! She was pregnant about a year ago but the baby didn't live, it was 12 weeks and he died in the womb!! The Docor had to induce labor to take the baby out.. That was a sad situation.. I told Brittany that God didn't think she was ready yet to have a child and that someday she would be... and so far she is doing really great!!! I will be a Great Granny in May!!!! The baby is due right around Brittany's 21st Birthday, which is May 1st!!! No celebrating for her!!! Well Lisa and all I will close for now and I promise not to wait so long before I write in the Journal again... Take care and keep on keeping on!!! You and your family are forever in our prayers.... Love to you all, Phyllis & John Caruth Johnny and Ebony Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Saturday, October 13, 2007 10:39 PM CDT my moms out of town. Just wanted to say all is well with me. I have a pca and they have all been very nice. Therapy is going well. My mom will post something when she gets back. Take care and write me, I check this page every day LISA GREENE <BLWCGREENE@MSN.COM> DULUTH, MN USA - Monday, October 8, 2007 8:35 PM CDT Dear Lisa, Butch, Willie, and Cassie, We are so very sorry to hear about Tigger. I remember hearing some great stories about him. Our own little Nibbles, who is 17, has had some struggles the past few months and there were times that we thought we might have to put her to sleep. She is doing better at the moment but my one big hope is that if she must leave us, she will just go to sleep just like your Tigger. Lisa, you should see her tonight; Tim gave her a haircut today. She get so matted up close to the skin. He has all the supplies; water bottle, barber scissors, and pet clippers. Quite professional! (she gets pretty pissed off at him, though) It was nice of you to call and leave a message for Tim on his birthday. We were out of town on vacation with my sister and her husband. Some day soon we will stop over with some very "healthy" dessert and have a visit. It would be so wonderful to see you. I keep hoping that you would just so happen to be at DuoTones to get your hair done on a day that I am there. Congrats on getting the PCA. I sure hope that it works out for you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love ya, Patti Patti Kittelson Duluth, MN USA - Sunday, October 7, 2007 7:25 PM CDT Lisa, Lisa Iam so sorry to hear about your kitty. They are so much a part of our families, and give use do much joy. There is nothing we came do to ease you lose, but let you know we love you all. I am so glad you are getting help, I will give you pease of mind. I hope cassie is feeling better. Say Hi to all from me, I'm so bad about writing and calling. I am home from work a few days, had my gallbladder out on thursday, still a bit weak, hope to go back to work on thursday. We love and think of you all the time. love autie sissy. Autie Sissy <sissy1@comcast.com> crosby, tx 77532 - Monday, October 1, 2007 10:16 AM CDT Dear Lisa and Family....So Sorry to hear about Tigger!!! Pets are such a big part of our lives and it is hard to let them go, BUT Tigger had a wonderful family to live with and so had a great life and so Tigger was very lucky!! BUT still will be missed, I'm sure. So glad to hear Lisa that you have a PCA coming each day - that so great and will ease Butch's load a little and Cassie's too - and your mom and dad's. Too bad you have to get up so early though!!! Mel and I went camping this weekend near Two Harbors...kind of a parking lot type campground, not much privacy and really no trees or anything. BUT we had the Lake Superior right there and it wasn't bad. Gene and Robin came on Saturday and we spent the day playing tourists. Had fun!! Sunday on our way home we went to Proctor to see Jesse, Kelli and the kids - I played with the kids alot, BUT I think I miss alot of the adults conversation. Oh Well!! Got home and I brought some smoked fish to my brother and my mom (we bought it in Knife River on Saturday) and then hurried home to make dog biscuits as halloween treats for my customers and to decorate the house for halloween (all this in between empting the camper trailer, doing laundry, etc.). Done now for the night - can decorate more come morning - just get up a little earlier. ISH!! Anyway sorry to hear about your kitty once again and am glad that you got some help coming in. Say hi to everyone!!! Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Sunday, September 30, 2007 10:48 PM CDT Hi Weeza, Sorry to hear about your kitty, Tigger. It is hard to believe she was 18 1/2 years old. She was your middle child! Wow wee. How was your weekend??? Ours went by fast. Seth had basketball today, played two games. Afterwards he had tryouts for traveling basketball. So you know we will be very busy this winter-hint word 'traveling' basketball. I had the rummage sale Thursday and Friday, Friday night I worked so Saturday was sleeping and laying low, I did take the kids to the YMCA in the evening for open swim. Willie is fine. He enjoyed his orientation Saturday. He worked Thursday,Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I believe he has been picking up. Once, school starts, I am sure he will have to work around his class schedule. I am working on getting his clock turned around. He likes to stay up all night and sleep all day before he goes into work. That didn't work so well when I needed him to watch the kids during the rummage sale! School starts in two weeks-and I am sure most of his classes will be during the day so I will work on convincing him not to stay up all night playing xbox live! Mom and Dad stopped by this morning, they had been in Forest Lake for a wedding Saturday night. Cindy B. from work- her daughter or son. It sounds like they had fun. It rained all day and night Saturday and Sunday. Lots of Thunder Boomers. I cleaned up my garage today from the rummage sale. I gathered a bunch of stuff to donate, gave some stuff to mom and dad for Cayden. I have been working an extra shift this week and last week. After this week of work, I only work Monday and Tuesday of next week. Bryan has drill (so no picking up Fri), and Monday the kids do not have daycare-the teachers have an educational day (so no Sunday). It will be a nice break Well take care and have a wonderful week. Talk to you soon. Miss you-Love you Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Sunday, September 30, 2007 10:17 PM CDT Hi Lisa and family - Sounds like everybody is still busy, busy, busy in your family. Glad to hear Butch got out golfing....the weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous. Just like summertime!! I love it. Mel and I spent Saturday in Duluth - did some shopping and then played tourist at Canal Park and the Lake Walk - tons of people and tons of dogs. We had fun!! We were going to visit with Jesse, Kelli and the kids, but Jesse was not feeling great (he feels much better now) and we decided they didn't need us over then. We went out to eat with Bob and Bev - went to Barker's Island. We had wonderful food - we all ordered the broiled shrimp. It was fun and we had a nice visit. My mom came to church with me this morning...now that she has moved, she is looking for a new church that will be closer to her. We would love to have her join our church. Had a few ladies over tonight to help make fall centerpieces for Assembly in a couple of weeks. We had to make 12 centerpieces - they turned out great!! Hope your nursing help turns out to be a big help tomorrow!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Sunday, September 23, 2007 10:38 PM CDT Hi Lisa and family - I know your mom and dad are still on vacation in Las Vegas - hope they win big!!! Wouldn't that be exciting. We just came home yesterday from our vacation - we went to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Went with my mom, aunt, cousin and her husband and there daughter and son-in-law. Eight of us all together and we took the AmTrak. The 27 hour train ride out to Spokane was grueling....the seats in coach are not that comfortable. In fact they are not comfortable at all, but had fun with our traveling companions. On the way home we had roomettes - where you can turn your chairs into a bed and also pull down a bed. It was a much nicer trip on the train. Got to actually lie down and even fall asleep. The trip itself was lots of fun - did lots of sight seeing and of course eating. We had lots of laughs. As you may know allready (I'm sure you do) my mother recently moved to an apartment in Virginia and three days later her home at the lake burned to the ground. Luckily nobody was hurt and the new owners only lost a few posessions - nobody was living there yet. The new owners also still have there house in Eveleth, so they have a place to live. Still sad to see the place gone.... Very glad to hear you will be having nursing help - that is great!!! Take care and remember to keep exercising. Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Wednesday, September 12, 2007 10:19 PM CDT Hi Weeza-can't believe its been since August since I have written. Well we have talked and I did see you over the holiday weekend. Willie is doing well he worked Mon, Tues, and is off today. He works Thurs, Sat, & Sun. When he is not at work he is just here sleeping in till about lunch time. Working out late at night (the gym is open 24 hours-he joined lifetime when he came down here). He has been keeping up with our lawn. With the rain it had grown like crazy. It is very green here and now cooling off, so maybe the grass will stop growing. He's got it going on, as he would say....ha ha. I know he loves pop tarts, he burnt his thumb on one today. He is so funny. We had pizza hut tonight and watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie. He and the kids are playing xbox until they have to go to bed. I think he has orientation next Thursday. Well I am done working for the week. I worked Sun, Mon, & Tues. We had a meeting this am so I was soooooooooo tired when I came home. It looks like our sleep lab will be growing. All the people I work with are so nice. The kids started up swim lessons today. They are back to three days a week of daycare. They are home with me Thursdays and Fridays-so we have been going to the gym and they have their Rolly Pollies on Thursdays. I started lifting weights this week, I am doing a different approach to exercise. So far so good. Wish me luck. It sounds like you might get a Nurse. That will be soo nice. How did Cassie's first week of school go? I saw all of her tip money-thats about 40.00 an hour! Wow-Talk about alot of moolah!!!!!!!!!!! Tell Cassie and Butchie Hello!!!!! I miss you.. talk to you soon Love, Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Wednesday, September 12, 2007 9:27 PM CDT Hi Lisa - I've been thinking about you all week and wondering how things are going with Willie down near the cities. He was so excited about school (recording, etc.) when we talked to him at your mom and dad's picnic. I'm praying that you will be able to get some help at home. It was nice camping with your mom and dad and Bob, Bev, Jordan and Raynah last weekend. This weekend we are going to Jeremey's - fair on Saturday and Twin's game on Sunday. I know you and your family will also be heading down that way too. Hope you all have a great time. We will come home Monday after we stop in Proctor and see Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper and pack up for our trip to Coeur d'Alene in Idaho for a week. We had Cooper's first birthday party last Sunday - he is no longer a baby, but a little man. So cute!!! Have a great time with your parents and Teresa and family this weekend. Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@mchsi.com> - Thursday, August 30, 2007 10:22 PM CDT Hi Lisa. I haven't written for a while but we sure have been thinking of you. How nice Willie will be staying with Theresa and family. Take care Lisa. You sure are an inspiration to us all. God Bless Tom and Diane Wagner Tom and Diane Wagner <ditom@mybluelight.com> Duluth, MN St. Louis - Thursday, August 30, 2007 8:02 AM CDT Good evening Lisa - It has been awhile since I've written....just been busy. I caught up on your weeks now and sure hope you get some help at home when Willie leaves for school. Mel and I had a chance to talk to Willie at the big picnic and he sounds so excited about the recording/music school in the cities. Sure wish him luck!! We had a wonderful time at your mom and dad's picnic the other week and were glad that Jesse, Kelli and the kids came too. The weekend after that we had a moving sale at my mom's and both of my brothers came to help too. Last weekend Mel, my mom and I went to Hastings to help my brother paint his basement. They have had paint for nearly 3 years, but never got it painted. I decided we would have a painting party and we did. Mel and I also celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary - Jeremey took us out to dinner at a very fancy restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful and atmosphere so neat - glad we went. That made our day very, very special. Next weekend camping with your mom, dad and Bob and Bev. My mom is moving then too, but we will help move stuff during the week since we will be gone. Oh well!!! HA We went to Sturgeon Lake for the week-end, that is where we have our camper parked for the season!! It is nice and peacefull there, didn't have to listen to the cars out in the street all night long, it was nice, and we do have central air in the camper which was a big plus!!! Our Grandson Josh from Rhinelander Wi, Graduated in June and his Mom (Anne and his Aunties, Susy and Julie ) had a Grad party for him in Cloquet on Saturday the 28th! Lots and lots of food!! Johnny and Brittany and Courtney were all there!! They better have!!!!!!!!! this is their Brother!!!! I took some of the Residents at Wesley on a little trip to Gordys Hi Hat in Cloquet on Thursday, it was raining pretty hard when we were getting ready to leave, but it let up and I loaded them in to my Jeep, there were three other cars going up there with 9 other residents. So all together we had 12 residents and four of us that drove them, they had a ball, ordering Burgers and fries and big Chocolate Malts, they were like kids in a candy store, they all had a very good time and we are going to do this again before Gordys closes for the season. The Residents that can get around pretty good go the the Huskies games and other things like art fairs and flea markets, they do keep them pretty busy!! I love my job there.... I love all the residents and the staff that I work with!! So far our Summer is going pretty good, too fast! but pretty good!! John and I still have a couple more years before we both retire!! He was working at the Foundry, where his Dad works, but that was only for a short time, it was through that Express Personnel, and those jobs are just temps anyway, he is now working for Manpower, not sure what he is doing, but at least he is working!!! You had a big bash last year for your 40th, so I hope you have a little bash this year - celebrate with family and friends. DO SOMETHING SPECIAL!!! We all need to celebrate our special occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, or whatever. Have a great day tomorrow and do something FUN!!! Love Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Tuesday, July 24, 2007 4:37 PM CDT Hi Lisa and family - How is everything going? We have been having gorgeous weather - how about you guys? Or is it cooler by the lake? We have wonderful news - my mother sold her house and will be moving to an apartment the end of August. YEAH!!!! It will be sad to move from the lake, but wonderful not to have responsibilites of mowing, shoveling, raking leaves, and maintaining a house in general. So some sadness, but mostly happiness. CHANGE IS NOT ALWAYS A BAD THING!! Today I went with my red hat group to Ely - we saw the new Bear Center, the Wolf Center and the Dorothy Molter museum. I was impressed with all three places, but especially the Bear Center because the had the cutest bear cub there - he was so fun to watch. The Dorothy Molter museum was good too - learned alot about Dorothy Molter that I never knew. We have fun just being out and about dressed in our red and purple - we sure are noticed in a crowd. We are coming to Duluth tomorrow to see the kids - Kelli is playing softball at Wheeler Field....so we are hoping to catch a game too. Take care of yourself and we will probably see you at your mom and dad's annual picnic for friends and neighbors. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Saturday, July 21, 2007 10:23 PM CDT Here is the website to the class reunion, just click on photo albums. Denfeld1987.myevent.com hope you enjoy the photos. Miss you love you Teresa Rae & the boys <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Wednesday, July 18, 2007 11:54 AM CDT Hey Weeza, Looks like you have had a busy weekend. Looks like lots of golf and lots of bonding with mom. It sounds like everything is hopping up there. It is Sunday and no work for me. Bryan went away for his two weeks yesterday. So needless to say I had to take Seth to some big track meet at Macalaster College, it was the regional meet, because it was the midwestern meet, and then qualifiers can go to California for the nationals. They did well, Seth's relay and the girl's relay 4 x 100 placed 1st (however, no one is making the trip to California). Other teammates placed well. The twins and I went swimming at the YMCA, Friday,Saturday, & Sunday. I feels great to swim in a lap pool. The kiddie pool was close (I am sure do to an accident) So we swam in the big pool. Seth hung out in the teen center. Well I only work two days this week, Auntie Lois is watching them at night and I have a sitter for the day. Well dear I enjoyed reading your journal. I will be bringing the kids up for the neighborhood picnic. We will see you then. Miss you- Love Teresa Rae & the boys <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Sunday, July 15, 2007 9:11 PM CDT Good morning Lisa - I'm waiting patiently (sp) for my first dog to arrive - they are a bit late allready!!! Sounds like you guys had a busy fourth with Teresa and family up and all. We had a great Fourth with all the kids here and stuff - did the parade in Gilbert and then Uncle Mel and I babysat and Jesse, Kelli and Jeremey went to the street dance in Eveleth. They didn't get home till 3:00 a.m. Holy cow!!! They had fun.... Spent the day at my mom's on the Fourth - swimming and stuff. Cooper just loved the water and Preslie was in it so long I think she turned into a fish. On Thursday I had to work, so Preslie helped me with the first dog. She helped lead it downstairs (she took the little one and I took the bigger one) and she helped get it wet and put shampoo on. She also helped to dry with the big dryer - what a big helper!!! Once everybody left, it was kinda quiet. The weekend was wonderful - being a part of Preslie's first camping trip. Sitting around the fire - roasting marshmallows and sleeping in the camper trailer. Uncle Mel and I went to Park Point on Saturday after we dropped Preslie off at home (they had a grad party to go to) - lots of people at the beach. Was nice to see your mom and dad at the campground. We forgot your dad's birthday - shame on us. AND WE ARE NOT EVEN "OLD" YET!!!! Your in our prayers..... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Tuesday, July 10, 2007 8:17 AM CDT Hi Lisa - It is getting late, so just a quick note to see how your weekend was. Did you have more Grad parties to go to? You Uncle Mel and I spent the weekend at my mom's at Sand Lake - it was "Family Fun Weekend". We do this annually - both my brothers and myself and spouses spend the whole weekend at my mom's and our kids come if possible. Neither Jesse nor Jeremey could make it this year. My younger brother came with 2 of his children and my older brother's son came with his wife. So we had a nice size crew - did swimming, played polish (monkey) golf, ate lots, took walks, had a bonfire, and visited. Nice weekend....came home baked cookies, did laundry, bought groceries, cleaned house and basically trying to get ready for the Fourth. Jeremey is coming home tomorrow and Jesse, Kelli, Preslie, Cooper and Twix will be coming Tuesday and all will stay til Thursday. We will have a busy household.. but will be lots of fun. HAVE A VERY HAPPY FOURTH!! Say hi to everybody!!! Love you, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Sunday, July 1, 2007 10:22 PM CDT Hi Lisa! It was SOO good to see you at the China Inn last week! Your poor family probably thinks I'm a nutcase for making such a scene. hahaha Sorry, I was just excited to see you! :-) It was so nice to meet your family, too. What are chances of running into you, especially when I was in town for only a week? I don't think I've seen you for 26 years! (Ouch! Has it really been that long??) You're such a sweetheart! Hugs!! Marci (Malinowski) Golen <mariposaloca@aol.com> Schertz, TX - Friday, June 29, 2007 1:40 PM CDT ![]() Holli Farmer <hollifarmerlpn@yahoo.com> Shepherdsville, Ky USA - Thursday, June 28, 2007 9:54 PM CDT Good Day Lisa Marie - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Seems like I'm always a day late - dollar short..... Sounds like you guys did something special for the special day and we have to remember to celebrate all our special days. We had a wonderful time camping with your mom, dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev and Raynah too. The weather was gorgeous and it was a very nice campground. Kid friendly and clean and well kept. This coming up weekend we have Family Weekend at my mom's. My brothers and spouses and Uncle Mel and myself stay the weekend at my mom's and our kids can come and go if/when they can make it at all. Jeremey will be in Chicago, so he won't be coming. And Jesse and Kelli and the kids will be coming here over the fourth, so they probably won't come up now. And they have a couple of grad parties on Saturday too. I understand your mom, dad, Uncle Bob and Aunt Bev will be going to North Dakota to visit Aunt Eva. That is great to keep in touch with your grandma's sister. I'm sure they will have a wonderful adventure!!! Weather sure did cool off today - it has been so nice and warm, but today - ish!!! Take care and keep working on the machines at Bayview!!! Happy Anniversary - can't believe it's 18 yrs already. Sounds like you had a very nice time with your family and yummy dinner. Don't you love it over there? Really good food! Its been too hot down here - stay inside with the air on as much as possible. It's too early in the year for this heat. Boy, your mom is as busy as ever. Don't know how she does it. Not much going on with me but Dara & Guy are super busy with their house addition - they added on what will be their living room. They are in the process of staining tongue and groove for the ceiling in that room. Have the walls painted so once the ceiling is in they can look at carpeting. The mantle is ready for the fireplace - Guy will pick that up on Wed. They are putting stone on the fireplace wall. They still have the deck to do and siding on the addition. I've been helping when I can - mostly painting. Well, my dear, not much news from this end. Glad to hear you are keeping busy - good for you!!!! Keep up the good work. Think about you often. Keeping you in my prayers. Stay cool. Sorry we couldn't visit longer, but we had a great visit with Eric and Danyel and the kids - your mom and dad too. Preslie's dance recital was just the cutest thing....was so precious!!! Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper came over today - we had lunch here and played lots...walked to the neighborhood playground and played and then played outside. The absolute best thing that Cooper, Preslie and I did was play in the bird bath. We all splashed and Cooper giggled so much....we got a bit wet, but it was nice out and it sure was fun!!! Mel and I went to Mike and Mary Myre's 25th anniversary party in Duluth yesterday - and it was pretty nice weather -little windy. We saw Bob and Bev, Gene and Robin and lots of people Mel and I used to hang around with when we lived in Duluth when we were first married. Nice to see everyone!! Mel and I had spent the weekend before in Minneapolis with Jeremey - we took the light rail train to the big mall and did a little shopping and just had a busy, fun weekend all in all. I had spent the first part of that week in St. Cloud at the Minnesota Annual Conference - really enjoyed myself. Met lots of neat people and just had a great experience. Well continue to take care of yourself and we hope to see you soon. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Sunday, June 10, 2007 10:27 PM CDT Hey Weeza-how are you doing my sister. What a weekend. I think we were all exhausted once it was done, slept in Monday am. I only worked Tuesday during the day. I talked to Tina Schinigoi- Risch this am. She is very busy with all her kids and her new home. It sounds like they love living on the lake and having a lot of fun. She told me there are a lot of babies arriving in her family and a few others. Troy's sister, Holly, is expecting is August, Becky and Rocco and also Dino and Trista are expecting again and due in the fall and in December. She also said Sandi Wagner is expecting too. Wow wee. Another Baby year.. I hope you had a good time down here, sorry we didn't get to shop much, but that's what happens when you have younger kids and the husbands are out golfing all day!!!. Well dear. Take care and I will talk to you soon, Miss you, Love you- Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Thursday, May 31, 2007 11:59 AM CDT Hey sexy Lisa, It was really good seeing you at Superone and Menards. You are looking great and it was awesome seeing that bright smile of yours. I really can't believe how grown up Cassie looks. Well it was great seeing you and I am sure we will meet up again. Take care Rocco Rocco Schinigoi <itallion26@msn.com> Duluth, Mn - Sunday, May 27, 2007 1:00 PM CDT Hi Weeza- I can't wait to see you this weekend - we get to go shopping. Maybe mom and I can take turns with the kids while you shop- and I will shop too. Maybe after the guys are done golfing they can go swimming with the kids while we go have some margaritas, chips, & salsa!!! Ha Ha! See you soon, I miss you! Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> Woodbury, MN - Wednesday, May 23, 2007 2:16 AM CDT Good evening Lisa Marie - It is great to see that you are riding on the Stride bus (most of the time)...saves a little wear and tear on your family and I'm sure it is much nicer just been wheeled on the van instead of having to lift yourself (with help of course)into a vehicle and then back into your chair. So it is Butch's favorite season - GOLF!!! It is great that he is able to get out and play golf with his buddies - everyone needs time to play!!! Uncle Mel and I spent the weekend up in Buyck - at our hunting shack. Actually Mel and I brought our camper trailer - little more comfort and some privacy too. My mom, brother Michael and his wife Laurie came. Jesse and Preslie came Saturday afternoon and spent one night with us. We fished, took hikes, boat rides, ate alot, played cards and really had a great time. Weather wasn't great, but with the cooler weather we had no bugs. Friday when we got there, it was nice and warm, but the bugs were horrid. The hunting shack in on the Vermillion River and is really pretty countryside. So glad Jesse and Preslie made it - Jesse also ran in the 1/2 marathon in Proctor Saturday morning. So he was kinda sore and tired.... Hope you had a great week and hoping to see you all very soon. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Sunday, May 20, 2007 4:08 PM CDT HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY LISA - Hope you have an enjoyable day... Knowing your family you will have a great day. So your mom bought Uncle Gene's van - GREAT!!!! Hopefully you will be able to ride in it also with a lift or ramp. THAT IS REALLY GREAT!!! Your mom and dad deserve to be pampered.... BUT so do you!!! Been busy here too - took Preslie to the circus up north here last Sunday...we enjoy our time with her. Got to spend time playing at our house waiting for mom, dad and Cooper. Been very busy grooming dogs - unbelievable. Tomorrow I serve coffee an' after church and then my mom, sister-in-law and brother will all come over for lunch/dinner. Once again have a WONDERFUL Mother's Day and say hi to everyone. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Saturday, May 12, 2007 12:13 AM CDT Miss Lisa - Hello there my friend! It has been quite awhile since I've been in to drop you a note, although I've been thinking about you! We just had a Little Caesar's Pizza open near our house. Yes, Little Caesar's! I drove by and they had signs for their grand opening and $5 pizzas and I thought I had driven into 1985! All I could think of was "Pizza Pizza" and Spirit Valley Mall. Which of course then made me think of you and Butch! So of course we took them up on the $5 offer and picked up a couple pizzas - still tastes the same! We also have a Sammy's in Coon Rapids which I love, so may not frequent the Little Caesar's as often! It sounds like your therapy is going well and that, as usual, the Greene's are keeping busy! Please say hi to everyone and you take care! Dara Hagen <dara.hagen@century.edu > Coon Rapids, MN US - Wednesday, May 9, 2007 9:35 AM CDT Just wanted to say hello, Keep writing in. I enjoy reading your e-mails. I have been doing ok. I still go to therapy 3 days a week. I get out a couple days a week. Take care. Love Lisa LISA GREENE <BLWCGREENE@MSN .COM> Duluth, Mn. USA - Tuesday, May 8, 2007 8:00 PM CDT Hi Lisa, How are things going this week for you? It sounds like you have been just as busy as ever. I have been busy running to the hospital everyday, because my dad had his hip replaced on Thursday. He will be going to the nursing home on Monday for a week or two of therapy. Dennis and Stacy are doing great and boys are getting big. Auntie Claudia and Uncle Fred Pianfetti put there house up for sale and will be moving to Texas when they sell it. Uncle Clyde and Aunt Judy were down at the hospital this weekend and they are doing great. Uncle Clyde is still teaching and working down at St. Mary's once a week. Auntie Judy is working at Lincoln school full-time. I will have to stop by your house one of these days for a visit. Julie Walkowiak <jwalkowi@css.edu> Duluth, MN - Monday, May 7, 2007 9:12 AM CDT Hey Weeza, How are you??? I need to call you-I am on the computer so I thought I would at least say hi to you via your website. I hope you are having a good weekend. Mom told me she was with you last weekend. I hope you enjoyed your bonding time-ha ha ha. I heard mom has a new mini van (used). I heard she was tickled pink. She deserves a better car. Maybe she will feel safe driving to the cities on her own now. Busy weekend. Bryan had drill this weekend. Seth had swimming Saturday. Took the kids to the county buffet for lunch. Picked Seths friend Tre up (the one that was at Easter) he spent the night. So I have been cleaning and feeding the kids. Bryan should be home this afternoon so I can sleep. I start at Woodwinds tonight. I got hired casual for St. Paul Lung. They have sleep labs in St. Paul and the East metro. Sooo nice that I can pick up close to home. Well dear I hope you are relaxing today-it is Sunday! Miss you Love, Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Sunday, May 6, 2007 1:38 PM CDT Hi Lisa....How are things going this week? Nice to have your mom and dad back home? That sounds great that you and Butch are planning on purchasing a new home - a one level home would sure be nice for you guys. And having Jeep move in with you is wonderful!!! Not everyone wants their mother-in-law to live with them and I just think you have such a special family, so it will all work out. Uncle Mel and I babysat for Preslie and Cooper on Thursday - we played hard, even walked to a nearby park and played there too. Had a wonderful time - but those two kids can keep you really busy. Cooper is on the move and gets into everything. Sunday we are taking Preslie to a circus in Virginia, so we will have another great day with her I'm sure. I've been unbelievably busy grooming dogs - can't keep up with the customers. BUT that is good!!! Have a great weekend - say hi to your husband, kids and parents. We still have to make it down to see all your mom and dad's new furnishings, etc. Someday.... Your in my prayers, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Friday, May 4, 2007 10:19 PM CDT Hi Lisa! I was just looking back and am so impressed at your continuing progress; always knew you could do it! Great that you are working on walking again!! I have been terrible in not writing! We have good news! Mindy graduates May 13 with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. She is soon to be DONE. She still has 2 three month internships to do but will be done with those 12/23. Brandon has a 9 month internship at Proctor HS also so at least they will both be able to stay home while they do their internships. Cody graduates from HS pretty soon; so hard to believe~ ~ ~. I met rule of 90 on April 1 which means I could retire but just not ready yet. Maybe next year. I got into quilting this past year; love it! Well, gotta go. Great to hear you're doing so well! Peg Wren Peg Wren <peggylwren@aol.com> Duluth, MN USA - Friday, May 4, 2007 10:00 AM CDT Hey Weeza- Haven't been to your website. It looks like you have been busy. I heard the great news.......Cassie made Solid Gold at Denfeld High School. She must be really good to make it as a senior and hasn't been in the other choirs at all!!!! Wow wee!!!!!!!! Well I am at work so I just wanted to say hello. Thanks for the great laughs-when you called last weekend. I will talk to you soon. Love You Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Tuesday, May 1, 2007 10:30 PM CDT Good morning Lisa - I'll bet your mom and dad are having a wonderful time in Vegas....sometimes just being away from our routines and "things that have to get done" is so much better for our relationships. You have time to spend together without a busy schedule and interruptions. It is great they are able to have this time to get away and enjoy themselves. I'm hoping the diuretics are working for you and that the swelling in your legs is going down. I'm sure the extra work getting to the bathroom isn't fun, but hopefully the swelling goes down, then the transferring will be easier and easier. Missed the update from your mom this week, but I'm sure she will catch us up when she comes home. Hope all is well with you, Butchie, Willie and Cassie. You all our in our prayers.... Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Wednesday, April 25, 2007 11:15 AM CDT Hi Lisa, I just wanted to say hi. I see your mom in the skywalk downtown she give me updates. Take care Lisa Porter-Donahue Lisa Porter-Donahue <bowlingmom3@msn.com> Duluth, MN - Sunday, April 8, 2007 9:21 PM CDT Hi Lisa and family - Just a quick note before I play a few games on the computer and go to bed (that is my routine every night)!!! We just got rid of all our snow and now we have CHRISTMAS all over again. Yesterday was perfect weather for making snowmen (if anyone had wanted to do that). It was pretty warm and the snow was very wet and made great snowballs. I didn't like seeing it at all!!! Today was sunny and windy - but we still have snow. It will melt soon - I hope. Last Saturday my mom and I went by tour bus to see the Passion Play in Arden Hills at the North Heights Lutheran Church - it was absolutely wonderful!!! Words just won't do it justice. If you ever have a chance it is really something to see. They had 450 people in the cast and the sets are wonderous. They also do a Christmas play that I'm hoping to get to this year. Today I had a day off and met with 3 of my cousins for lunch - my mom and one of my aunts met with us also. We were there for over 3 hours - had a wonderful visit. We try to do this every 3 months or so....sometimes we get to busy, but we try. Sure is fun to catch up with all that is going on in everyone's life. Glad to hear your therapy is going good - keep on walking kid!!! Have a great EASTER - I'm sure you will. Jeremey is coming home and we will go to my brother's for Easter dinner. On Saturday we all will help my nephew move into their new home. He and his wife bought their first home - so exciting!!! Say hi to your mom and dad and hope to see you all soon. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO BUTCH!!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Wednesday, April 4, 2007 10:40 PM CDT Hello Dear Lisa and family, I haven't written for a while and I am sorry about that, but great news that you are walking, keep up the good work. Cheryl and I will be over to see you soon, guess we missed you on Valentine's Day. We need to find out when you go for therapy so we can pick a day, maybe we could bring you some lunch. Will talk to you soon. Pat Pat Anscomb <panscomb@msn.com> Duluth, MN USA - Wednesday, March 28, 2007 10:56 AM CDT Good evening Lisa....Just wondering if your legs/ankles are still swollen - sure hope that isn't going to be a problem!!! We had an early Easter here in Gilbert - Jesse, Kelli, Preslie, Cooper and Twix (there dog) came to stay for the weekend and we had Easter on Sunday because Jesse and Kelli will be in Vegas for Easter. Preslie and I went to church on Sunday and she was very, very good. We played hard and had a great time. Cooper is getting so big - almost crawling, bur not quite. Hope all goes well with you this week and keep on walking. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Monday, March 26, 2007 6:19 PM CDT Hello Lisa and Family, I haven't written in here for a while so thought I would and wish you all a Happy Spring!!! So glad to hear that you are taking those steps, way to go girl!!! You, sound like you are busy all the time!! Like Mother Like Daughter huh?? Your Mom is one busy lady, one of her friends from Church is a Resident at Wesley, her name is Ellen Nelson, and she spoke so highly of Your Mom.. Ellen is a very sweet lady. I really enjoy working there, the hardest part is seeing these lovely people go into Nursing homes. A few have passed away that I had really gotten close to. it is a sad situation, but life does go on!! Your Dads Truck is amazing!!! Wow that must have cost a bundle!! Good for him and your Mom!! They do deserve it!!! Junior and Pam and Tylor have finally moved out of our house, they found a small house on Medina St. in West Duluth, close to MacArthur School, where Tylor goes. They are excited, all though they have no furniture, I gave them half of my couch, remember that big sectional I have, well I gave them the part with the bed, I want to get new furniture when we get our income taxes back, thats if we get any back!! Hope so, or I will only have a half of a couch!! hahah!!! My bathroom is all done and I LOVE LOVE it!!! My trip to Florida is still on, April 21 to April 28th.. Shelly(Michele Johnson) is also going, she will have to come home on the 26th, she couldn't find a sitter to watch Tyceson for the two extra days, guess Tim will be with him until he has to work on Thursday night the 26th of April!! Junior says, Mom you are going to be gone for my Birthday, his Bday is on the 22nd of April.. I said we will celebrate when I get home o.k??? Of course he will be 41 and he doesn't really want to celebrate!! You know how men are!! They really don't care if they have cake or not, we love it !!! cake that is!!!! Brian and Angela had their little Girl Samantha Baptized on March 18th!~! She is 6months old and has two teeth on the bottom!!! I can hardly wait to see her again.. We will probably go down to Oklahoma in August again or maybe in September this year!! Brody ( Brians 13 year old Son) is doing really good in Oklahoma, he is on the merit roll, has been since the beginning of School, he played Football last fall and did pretty good for the first time ever playing anything on a team, he also is wrestling and does really good in that, he is playing Baseball also but he really doesn't like it, so Brian is not pushing him to play that, he likes to skateboard and he gets into alot of competitions there in Oklahoma, it is so nice there in the 70's and 80's all ready.. WOW!!!! Johnny is still working at HOM Furniture and Brittany is not working but looking again. Junior is working at MeGlobal, the same place his Dad works. Pam is working at The St Scholastica Monestary, in the Food Service!! She wants to quit and just be a stay at home Mom!! But she like the extra Money, which is nice and all, but she really doesn't like working there. I guess the people are not very friendly.. Well Lisa I will sign off for now and will write again really soon!! Take care and God Bless you and your amazing Family!! Kepp on Keeping on Girl!!!!! Love to all, Phyllis & John Caruth & Johnny and Ebony Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Sunday, March 25, 2007 11:56 PM CDT Hi Lisa - Sure is great that you are back in therapy and walking some again.....you have worked so hard and deserve to be able to be able to move around some on your own. I'm sure Abel is loving his stay at grandma and grandpa's...and Teresa and Bryan and the boys will have a great trip also. It was nice having dinner with your mom and dad and everyone else. Your dad has a gorgeous truck, and I don't even think I could get in it with a step stool. Today I'm busy making dog biscuits for my customers - Easter shapes!! Making four batches - hope that will last for a week. I made double batch and that only lasted 2 1/2 days. Well, take care of yourself and hope to see you soon. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Thursday, March 22, 2007 1:48 PM CDT Hello Lisa and family - IT WAS SO WONDERFUL TO READ THAT YOU WERE WALKING - yeah for you!!!!! Glad to hear you will also be back to therapy - it is so important to keep your body moving and the therapy people know exactly what you should be doing. BUT WALKING - THAT IS SO GREAT!!!! I just have a few minutes here - I serve coffee an' after the Lenten Service at church tonight, so I'm baking bars and have to get the church set up too. This is all in between dogs....but I scheduled two less dogs so I can get everything else done. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous - the snow is melting so fast. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! We miss you - Love Teresa Rae & the boys <bryanteresa@comcast.net> Woodbury, - Wednesday, March 14, 2007 5:48 AM CDT I started therapy today!!!!!!!!!!!!!It was great. I walked with the walker and did some excersises with my legs. I'm going to be going 3 times a week again. It's so exciting to be walking again. So glad to be back at Bayshore. I'll keep you up to date on my therapy, ok. Take care, Lisa LISA GREENE <BLWCGREENE@MSN .COM> Duluth, Mn. St. Louis - Monday, March 12, 2007 3:05 PM CDT Hello my dear sister-can you believe the snow???? I shoveled 5 times yesterday just to keep up with it. My kind neighbors snow blowed our driveway last night and this am. Then I shoveled once more!!!! My body is so sore-I guess I used some muscles I haven't used in awhile. Bryan is out of town so that is why I was working so hard. Seth had a late start Thursday also, then I noticed the school districts near ours were closing school early, so I kept him home, his school did close early so they were only open 11-1:30pm, lunch and recess during that time. So what a waste of time. I am glad I did keep him home. Then all of the schools were closed Friday. However, it didn't snow as much during the day, just a lot on the ground from during the night. They were saying almost 20 inches in some areas. They showed Duluth had 18.5 inches. Seth went tubing this afternoon with some friends at Afton Alps. Bryans plane flight was canceled this evening so he is taking the first flight out tomorrow (Sat) am. Not too much going on this weekend. Seth has snowboarding Sunday. Even though basketball is over (they won consolation last weekend-played 5 games to win it in two days), Seth is signed up for a 3 on 3 basketball tournament for Sunday. I also start my new job Monday-however-it is just hospital orientation for two day. I actually work Tuesday night at Fairview. They have just reduced me to one day of work per week-so that is nice-until they fill my position. I know you are probably going stir crazy being at home in all of this snow! I know how you like to be out and about. Any coffee coolers lately????? Have you been watching those info-mercials lately?? They are kind of motivating and can suck you in-so be careful. How is Cass and Will??? How about Butchie?? I've got to remember this is birthday Month for Butch and Cassie, I keep thinking I am forgetting but it is coming up, March 25 and March 30th. Is Cassie really going to be 17??? Is Butch really going to be 40???????? THE BIG 40 WOW WEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well dear I hope all is well, stay warm in this weather. I love and miss you guys!!!!! Love, Teresa & the boys <bryanteresa@comcast.net> Woodbury, MN1 1 - Friday, March 2, 2007 9:09 PM CST Hello, very nice site! Please also visit my homepages: toyota corollailf corolla toyota730 Thanks! Stinky <Stinky> Moscow, Moscow USA - Friday, March 2, 2007 3:51 PM CST Good morning Lisa.... So you guys are getting more snow - I see the schools are closed and everything. It just started snowing here a few minutes ago - BUT the wind is horrid. My mom and I are suppose to go to Grand Rapids tonight to see "Annie Get Your Gun" with my Red Hat group, but we will just see what happens with the weather. I would really hate to come out of the play tonight and realize I can't drive home. Staying at hotel in Grand Rapids without any clean clothes or anything wouldn't be fun. And this weekend Jeremey was coming home from the Minneapolis and my brother from Hasting and Jesse, Kelli, Preslie and Cooper from Duluth to celebrate my mom's birthday on Saturday. If the weather is bad, I said we can celebrate at a later date rather than have people driving when the conditions are not good. We plan on having a wait and see attitude. Would be a great time to be in Arizona or something. I hate the cold weather, but I don't like the snow either. Guess I just don't like winter. Stay indoors and stay safe. Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Thursday, March 1, 2007 10:14 AM CST Hi Lisa....You guys sure got the snow!! We were in Duluth yesterday and came home last night and there was some snow and it was snowing some, but not bad. And Jesse called today and told us Kelli couldn't even open the door to shovel the snow was so deep and he had his Jeep was stuck in his driveway - he had to get the snowmobile out and the whole family traveled to Kelli's grandma's on that - they had to take turns. Got the driveway and steps all cleaned off and more snow coming. We got maybe a couple inches at the most - did have some snow drifts. Nothing much!! We took Preslie to a farm in Wrenshall yesterday - we planned on a sleigh ride, but it was too icy at the farm. So Preslie had a long pony ride and we saw all the animals - horses, cows, pigs, rabbitts, etc. And Preslie, Grandpa and I went out to eat - we had a very enjoyable time. We visited with Jesse, Kelli and Cooper later. Had supper with Aunt Robin and Uncle Gene - had a great meal and very nice visit. We had church today - no snow to keep us home. Say hi to everyone and have a WONDEROUS week!!! Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Sunday, February 25, 2007 10:36 PM CST Hi there Ms. Lisa! I haven't written for a long, long, time - shame on me!! Wow, your mom was busy last week-end. Nice to get all that done, isn't it? All that sorting takes a long time - I know it usually takes me days to sort through clothes etc. Nice when its done tho. Sounds like you had a nice week-end together. Mommy/daughter time is always nice. Good to hear you took a couple of steps with your walker - keep up the good work! The kids sound busy, busy - hard to believe they are grown up. Good for them to keep busy and active in things. Not much happening down here. It was a beautiful day yesterday - I had 52 on my thermometer so took the dog in the car for a ride. Had to get a few things at Walgreen's and Target - felt nice not to need a jacket. That was short lived - it's 30 outside now, windy and cold. We are in for a snow storm this week-end - rain, sleet, ice, snow - sounds interesting, I wonder if it will happen. Well, my dear, keep up the good work. You are such a sweetie. I think of you often (even though I don't write). Hope you are having a good day. Take care. Talk to you later. Love ya - Ms Peggy Peggy Sjolund <peggyfrstlk60@msn.com> Forest Lake, MN - Thursday, February 22, 2007 11:23 AM CST Hey Weeza- was great talking to you the other night. I just read your update for the week. Sounds like you and mom accomplished a lot while she was there. Great for you! I am almost done with my last night of the shift.Yippe!! Then tomorrow after I sleep I pick up the twins for swimming, Seth has Spanish now after school on Wednesdays. Thursday is the twins favorite day- they get to go to Rolly Pollies. Seth has his basketball tournament (playoffs)so basketball will end after this weekend. Mom and Dad will be coming down to watch. The kids are looking forward to seeing them. I can't remember the last time they were at the house. It'll be fun..anyways I wanted to say hello and I hope the rest of your week goes well. I miss you-maybe I will see you for Easter! Love You!! Teresa Rae <bryanteresa@comcast.net> Woodbury, - Wednesday, February 21, 2007 3:31 AM CST Hi Lisa and family - I think I need your mom to come to my house and "PUTTER". Although Mel and I did go through our closets and had 3 huge bags donating and one big bag just of garbagey stuff. Does make you feel good to do things like that. I'm hoping and praying that those two steps you took will turn into several and then more and more and more..... Keep up the exercise and say hi to all your family. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Tuesday, February 20, 2007 4:19 PM CST Good Morning Lisa Marie - Another chilly day....the sky is so blue and it is so nice and sunny you would think it was nice and warm, instead of -12 degrees. Hoping your ankle is coming along better, but sprains seem to take time to heal. If you have to, take it easy....BUT do some exercises to keep some what limber. It was nice to have dinner with your mom and dad and Bob and Bev too - and we have our dates for camping this summer. Have to plan early with everyone's busy schedule. We shouldn't have to be that busy, BUT we all are!!! Had my mom, brother and sister-in-law over for dinner yesterday - that way they had to come out in the cold, I didn't (except for church). We had a nice visit and a good meal too. I have another busy dog day today, so I'm going to get ready for that. Love you!!! And have a Happy Valentine's Day!!! Aunt DeEtta DeEtta Annala <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Monday, February 12, 2007 7:57 AM CST Hi Lisa and family, I just got done reading about your week and just wanted to say hi. I'm praying your ankle will heal and you can get back to therapy soon. I don't know if I told you my dad retired last spring and is really enjoying retirement. They are going on another trip in the spring and sometime in May or June he will have hip replacement. Dakota and Brendan are growing up to fast and they still tell grandma and grandpa what to do. Stacy and Dennis are doing very well and of course baseball season is starting up. I not sure who gets more excited, Dennis or Brendan. Brendan gets excited because he is able to practice with the big kids and help is dad out at the practices. I should get back to work and I hope your ankle starts feeling better. Julie Walkowiak <jwalkowi@css.edu> Duluth, MN - Wednesday, February 7, 2007 8:39 AM CST Hey Weeza- isn't it cold!!!! Wow wee. Just wanted to say hello to you and the family. We miss you guys, maybe we can make it up around Easter or something. Time flies by when you are busy with kids. It seems like our world revolves around Seth, but then it is nice to have Bryan run him around while the twins and I do our own thing. However, we do attend his basketball games on Saturday. They only have three Saturdays left, yippee. Oh well. How does Cassie like cheering for hockey??? Tell everyone hello for us. Miss ya-Love, Teresa & the boys Teresa <bryanteresa@comcast.net> - Tuesday, February 6, 2007 3:20 AM CST Dear Lisa and family - What a saint you have for a husband, but I'm sure he has his times!!! It is also lucky that he is able to come home and help out at lunch time and breaks -not easy though I'm sure. Your "whole" family is wonderful and help out SO MUCH!!!! You are lucky that way - BUT not lucky to have sprained your ankle. Sometimes they take a long time to heal. Just take it easy for awhile. Wouldn't it be great to get someone to come to the house to help. Even if just a few hours a day....That would be a big help to all of you, so I'm praying that it will happen. It was Uncle Mel's birthday yesterday and we had thought about going out to eat, but while we were thinking about it I fell asleep. So Mel warmed up left over spaghetti sauce and we had spaghetti. Maybe we will go somewhere to eat tonight!! Mel and I are planning on coming to Duluth next week (Wednesday and Thursday) and staying at the Edgewater Hotel - then the kids and grandkids can come and enjoy the water park. We will stay a couple of nights - this is our "WINTER" vacation. Will be fun, I know Preslie will like it and she will bring Sami (her cousin) too. This Sunday (tomorrow) Cooper is being baptized - they had to wait for the coldest weekend to have this done. So we will be getting together at Jesse and Kelli's tomorrow for dinner. Fun to see the kids and everyone!! Stay warm and you will be in my prayers for a healed ankle and help in your home. Love, Aunt DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Saturday, February 3, 2007 4:53 PM CST Hi Lisa and family....Working on a sermon for Sunday - since it is UMW Sunday, I'll be talking about women of the Bible. It only takes one person - man, woman or child to make a difference in someones life and I got to thinking about how many lives you touch as just one person. It is simply amazing!!!! Hope your day of rest (it is your day of rest right???) goes well and work hard on the machines when you go tomorrow. You need to keep your strength and spirits up and get even stronger. Your in our prayers.... Love, DeEtta DeEtta <frogpad@lcp2.net> - Thursday, January 25, 2007 11:31 AM CST Hi Lisa Lisa- I've been thinking bout you all day for some reason-hope everything is ok. Me & Rosy (my new siamese kitten I got for Christmas) have been washing floors. Her name started out being Sheba, but being she has a severe case of nose problemss-it got changed-got to know what's going on day and night. Was supposed to be raining again today but so far it's off and on sunshine. Well gal, I better get back to my housework or I'll never get finished. We love sooooo much and pray for ya. Love ya Uncle Wayne Stewart W Wooten <swooten105@aol.com> Crosby, TX USA - Monday, January 22, 2007 2:34 PM CST Hey sister Weeza, it sure was nice talking to you tonight. Glad we got to catch up. This week should fly by. Bryan will be gone Monday - Friday. Seth is off Friday from school. I guess I get to do the ripping and running with him - should be fun with the two kids tagging along, tried to get a sitter for Thursday- but no luck (Seth has chess club, then his basketball mentorship at stillwater high school where they play for an hour with a high school kid), then regular practice after that at the elementary in Woodbury. So I was trying to get a sitter because of all the ripping and running, not so much fun for the twins. Then the scheduled stuff, twins have swim on Wednesday and Rolly Pollies on Thursday. Even though I work just Sunday night and sleep Monday-the twins are in daycare Tuesday, so I have a day to myself. I may go get my haircut-it needs it. The twins have a vacation day Wednesday so they will be home with me. So that will be my week in a nutshell. Bryan comes home Friday and Seth has his Kids only night at Central Park in Woodbury Friday night. Then Saturday its another basketball game-then back to work Sunday-then it all starts over again. Yippe. Well tell everyone hello for me. I miss you guys -Love you- Teresa Rae & the boys <bryanteresa@comcast.net> Woodbury, MN - Monday, January 22, 2007 0:32 AM CST Hi Lisa (and family), I have not written nor visited your website for a while. Sounds like your working on rehab often and busy with family. I think about you and talk to Teresa about your progress. Wow Willie is 21? How did that happen. Sounds like Cassie is enjoying school and activities. We moved to Esko last March, very close to the school. We love our house and neighborhood. Tyceson is 18 months already, says some words such as: oops, don't, no, keys, ipod, walter (his doggie), potty, pee, mama, dad, noggin, phone, and cheese. He is so much fun, I think he's getting cuter every day. I start school tomorrow, the College of St. Scholastica for the Ojibwe Language/K-8 Elementary Middle School Teacher Licensure. I'm very excited to learn my ancestor's language. My dream is to be a teacher at the Ojibwe School in Fond du lac (Cloquet). This should be a two year program, trasferring all my credits from my other two degrees. I'm not working anymore, just going to school and being a mom. Tim is still at Storaenso, likes his job. Take care of God Bless you and your family. Love Michelle Johnson Michelle Johnson <tyce.johnson@yahoo.com> Esko, MN USA - Monday, January 15, 2007 1:28 PM CST Hi Weeza, just wanted to say hello to my sister. The new year is whizzing by already. How was your 1st week of the new year??? Ours was busy. Seth and the twins were back to school/daycare on Tues. I only worked Tues night. Of course all of my nights to work landed on the holidays. So then Seth had his normal basketball and also started Chess Club for the first time after school Thursday-he really enjoyed it-one of his friends is in it too. Seth's team won their first game this year in basketball (they had won the first game but it was considered a scrimmage). He was happy. Bryan has been working hard with him by bringing him to the gym to shoot hoops a couple times a week. I was looking for places for the twins (belated) birthday party. I came across a new place for kids 6 months to 6 years old. It is one big fun indoor place, with trampolines, ropes, ladders, balance beams, moon walks etc. So I signed them up for classes during the day on Thursdays. They attended Thursday and loved it-it really wears them out too. I did find a place for their party.I was lucky there was some openings at the high school, they have a gym they rent out for parties. So it will be next weekend. Is Cassie's play this weekend? Let me know how it goes. How is Willie's new job as security at Mr. D's??? I can't believe he is 21. Wow wee. Well I am trying to clean this house and organize, dispose, and donate stuff. In addition, I start my 3 12 hours shifts tonight. Have a great week. Maybe I will call you on my way to work. We had fun playing Bingo with you and the twins still yell-Who let the dogs out!!!???? They miss you saying the Chorus. Ha Ha Ha. Miss you. Keep up the Good Work.. It is awesome how the Lord works!! He hears all of the prayers for you and your Family. I saw Willy at Sams Club last week, I think it was the day of his Birthday, 21 all ready!! Gosh where does the time go??? Junior and Pam are still here with us, they have been staying with us since October, Junior still hasn't found a job yet... It is getting pretty difficult with so many people living here. They are going to start to remodel my bathroom on the Jan 8th, so that means we will all have to use the bathroom in the basement!! it only has a shower, I love baths, nice hot long baths.. My new tub will have a two different types of showers, one will be aregular on and the other one will be a rain forest type shower.. It is really neat!!! I can hardly. The guy that is doing our Bathroom, says it will only take a couple of weeks.. We will see!!! I am planning on taking a trip with the Girls in April, we are going to Panama City Floriday, My cousins daughter has a timeshare and she will be able to get a two bedroom condo on the ocean front the last week in April!! I am so excited!!! I will get some sun and a nice tan!!! Well enough of that!! Well sweet sweet Lisa, I will sign off for now, you are in our prayers everyday and night.. As is your loving Family!!! Keep on keeping on!!! You go Girl!!! Love and Prayers to you and yours!!! Phyllis & John and Johnny and Ebony and the Whole Caruth Family Phyllis Caruth <pcaruth@yahoo.com> Duluth, Mn USA - Monday, January 1, 2007 11:05 PM CST Hi Lisa and a Happy New Year to you and your family - Sounds like you had a busy and fun time visiting with your sister Teresa and family. Isn't family time just the best!!! I spent the New Year's weekend in Hastings at my brother Michael's house. I brought my mom to visit and we had a wonderful time. We even had lobster for our New Year's eve meal - it was great. My brother cooked the live lobsters and he did a wonderful job. It was just the four of us - my brother Michael, his wife Laurie, my mother and me. Mel opted to stay home (we are dog sitting a little shih-tzu). We had 2-3 inches of snow in Hastings on Sunday and like 9 inches of snow here in Gilbert. The roads were pretty good driving home today - didn't slow me down at all. Enjoy 2007.....
