Journal
Wednesday, July 20, 2005 9:19 PM CDT It is two months today since Joe's funeral. It seems so long ago, yet seems like he should walk into the house after being on vacation--without me. We all know that will not happen, as he did not want to be alone.
We received all of his racing apparel from the Saftey committe, plus the video of the accident. We viewed everything this past Sunday and it was really hard. The firesuit and gloves definitely did not protect him as they should have, but it helped to bring closure to some of my children. Now we are waiting to see what the safety committee has to say about the lack of protection. It was a very sad experience opening everything.
Miss Joe (Dad) everyday, but "one day at a time". Thanks again for your beautiful thoughts and sayings about that special man in our life.
