Journal

Monday, July 20, 2009 2:19 PM CDT

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your summer (or what little of it we have had). We made it through the begining of July but it sure was hard. I can't believe it has already been three years since Jared has left to be with the angels. It was a lot harder for me this year and I thought it would get easier. We all just miss his smiling face, his stories, and that bright smile. Not to mention his hugs and kisses. We know that he is still with us in spirit and as long as we talk about him and share stories he will never really be gone.
What a year of remebering it has been and wondering what ifs. Jared's class graduated Sixth grade and will all be entering High School this year.We were very blessed to attend there graduation mass and party. It was hard to sit through because I just kept thinking he should be here for all of this. The class was wonderfull and remembered Jared in everything they did. The banner was blue with all the kids names written on white clouds, except Jared's his name was in the center on a white dove. He was remembered in prayers, song, and in the video. The video is very cool it shows pictures of each of the children from kindergarden through 6th grade. Each child gets there special moment with just pictures of them and then there are pictures of all the kids together just having fun. It was great to have Jared included in all those wonderful memories. Jared was very blessed to have such wonderful kids in his class and to call them all friends. May God continue to watch over each and everyone of them as they continue on with their lives.
Since school has been out we have not had time to rest. All the kids are in variety of activites softball, basketball, baseball, 4-H animals, and football starts this week. We haven't been home before 9:00pm all summer. Plus I started a new job which has me working every day and the kids are not sure if they like me working.
Nathan already has his farmers permit and can drive!! (This sure makes me feel old).He has been playing in 2 different baseball legues and softball on Friday night with Billy. He is really turning into a very good player and driver. This week he will start football practice. Elizabeth has been playing softball and basketball all summer and having a blast. Andrew and Brandon have both been playing baseball each on Tues. and Thur. which means me and Billy take turns going to there games. It's surprising how much they both know about the game and how they just keep improving.
The morrison county fair is next week so the kids are also trying to get a few animals ready for that. We are hoping that things will slow down in August and we will be able to relax and enjoy some of the summer.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer and thank you for checking Jared's sight. God Bless you all.
