Monday, April 11, 2005 9:34 AM CDT Well, it's been so long, but so much has happened and it's been difficult to write it down.
As most of you know, my brother Jim passed away on January 8, 2005. He and Gus are now together having a really great time I am sure. For those of us left behind, there is grief, questions and some comfort. At least Gus isn't alone.
We've had some big changes in our family too. In mid-February we moved into our new house. We're still in Brooklyn Park, but we finally have a place that is just like we want. The kids seem to get lost in the place because it seems so big.
Henry and Sophie are growing up more every day. Sophie will "graduate" from Kindergarten next month and turn 6. She's quite a little lady and she loves to dress-up, dance and sing. She claims she's going to be on American Idol, so I'm hopeful that she will be able to support the family in about 15 years!!!
Henry is 4 and growing like a weed. He still has another year of pre-school left, so I don't have to send him to school this Fall. He wants to play hockey, baseball, football, soccer...basically any sport that he can think of. Of course, right now he's content terrorizing the Barbies and Polly dolls with his "guys" (REscue heroes, Ninjas, Power Rangers and various other super-heroes). He and I actually had quite the disagreement yesterday because he wanted to wear his Mr. Incredible costume (from this past Halloween) to school today. We compromised that he could wear it when he gets home. He told me that he could wear it to school because he can fight the bad guys, even the "masters," because he knows karate...???!!! News to me, but OK.
Well, that's about it. Watch for news of another event at Underwater Adventures on the 21st. It'll be posted in the message section of this website.
Thanks, Tracy
