My name's Amy Bandy and I am a 19 year old graduated from Farmington. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease in March of 2002. Luckily, we caught it early enough so that four months of chemo was enough to cure me. I've been in remission for almost Four years now, and am living life on a lesson learned that you should do it without regrets or hesitation!! I love you all!! Happy Spring!

Thank you for still checking up on me.
I'm sorry I don't come on here and update it often enough. Sometimes it's hard for me to come back on here and get into that mindset again. It's a little difficult to explain. And I suppose I just try to avoid all the old feelings I had when I was sick. But, it is a fresh, much needed reminder of why I am the way that I am, why God works in the ways he does, why I am greatful for the people I have in my life; and on the page! So again, thank you so much for coming in here to check up on me!

Well, to just make a quick update on my life, I moved in to Minneapolis with my aunt a year ago for a temporary change in scenery and my lifestyle. Even though I drove back to Farmington all the time to see my friends and family! I started off working three jobs a week...which did't last long at all. (Nor did my feet!) So I'm working at one now, holding a retail position for almost a year. In April I'll be starting a second one, a GREAT job, for Health Partners. Secretarial sort of work. I am VERY excited! I went to college for a minute..but decided it wasn't for me. At least not right out of high school, like everyone else. My heart was not in it at all. But I do plan on going back by next fall hopefully. For what? HA! No idea.

So other than that, not too much has changed. Tuesday, March 7 is actually my cancer-getting anniversary. Four years ago...I can't believe it. My Grandfather, Bill Bandy, actually was just diagnosed with Lukemia not too long ago. I ask that you think and pray for his well being as much as possible. God knows I am. He is fighting so hard to stay so strong. It's so painful to see his illness take over him. I admire him so much. Our bond is so much stronger, seeing as how both of us managed to randomly get hit with cancer. Kinda makes the other family members freak out in fear of conducting their own type. Maybe it was just something Grandpa and I ate!!

Until we meet again...Thanks for your concerns and notes and thoughts. I love you!
