Dear Trimper Family,

I was sitting in my Graduate class and had flashbacks of my amazing (and favorite) fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Trimper. I decided to google her and see if I could contact her as it'd been a few years since I'd seen her. I was sad and shocked with all of the information that I learned that your family has been through in the 16 years it's been since I spent all of my days with her! I know what wonderful parents you both are ( I can't imagine Mrs. Trimper with a man that would be anything less) =) It pains me to imagine what Mrs. Trimper has been through being that she has always been so special to me. Just know that these kiddos are lucky to have you. I was lucky to have you (Mrs. Trimper...I still can't call you Jane) as such a inspirational person in just my one year in 5th grade :) My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always! I can't wait to visit Maddie's House during my next visit to Michigan! Hugs!

Dear Max,
I just sent a message to the guestbook with the wrong name. Instead of you, I sent it to your brother Sam. I hope you will understand and forgive my mistake. When I was growing up, my parent's sometimes called me by my brother's name. Maybe it's because I am now a grandfather that I am having trouble remembering. You have some really super grandparents and I am very glad to know them.
Thinking of you today,

Happy Birthday Max! I never realized you an Scott Have the same birthday, I'd say that it really is a special day,I think you both are pretty awesome!
Now I know why you were riding your little machine to take the trash out when I drove by the other day Jeff...I was thinking awe it's not raining THAT hard! ha. I'm sorry to hear about your injuries.
Jane, the look on Sam's face at the ed showcase when I stood next to him to show him that he is taller than me just cracks me up! He looked at me like..."whats wrong with you?" so funny. Ryan can't wait until he can look down at me, but he's kinda on the short side too.
Take care and God Bless.

Happy Birthday, Max the Man! I just can't believe you are so tall!!! I was so thrilled to hear how well you are doing ... must be all that girl chasing! I have no doubt that they eat up your attention, remembering what a stud you are and all that!

Sam, what a great picture, too ... Did you gel your hair for the team pic??? Sounds like maybe you're after the babes, too. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, huh? :)

Jeff, what can I say? Any chance you'd take the bunny slope next time? Of course, even that can be dangerrous, as we learned this winter. Oh, well, a man's gotta do ...

Jane, I heard from Marcey that you were the principal, and what a great job you were doing. Made for that position, I dare say! I'm so happy that you are happy.

I was near Stanton on Monday, as we had a neurology appointment for Susan up in Alma, and we tried on the way home to go into Stanton to see Maddie's House, but the road was closed! So we will try it another day. Rylie and Rayah have heard much about it, and we need to fulfill their dream of playing there.

I still pray for you all often and have been skunked many times when I came here to check for an update. Happily, Max's birthday was the jackpot!!! Thank you so much for keeping us up on you all. All these years of prayers cannot be wasted ... Gotta Beleive is right!

Loving you all so much, and so blessed that you got through this winter in tact, somewhat! :)

Hello Trimpers!
I wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas! I am reminded of Maddie everyday (my momma bird that sits on top of my TV, whenever my kids watch Lazytown, her quirky sense of humor etc..) but especially when I had a patient the other day break out the Crazy 8's card game!! I have not played since playing with Maddie. I think its about time to show my kids how to play! Your precious daughter is missed by so many people, and she will be remembered forever, as will you! Not a day goes by that I do not think of you all. Jane, so much of your advice still runs through my mind.
I am not a big fan of the fall either. November has so many good and bad memories...I feel like I am on roller coaster that just won't stop.
Mackenzie' is wise beyond her years...she is comfortable that Ashleigh is healed in heaven but still misses her. She even tells me that it is her "selfish" side that wants Ashleigh back because Ashleigh is better in heaven. I just picture our girls up there...Ashleigh following Maddie around like the hero that she is...playing, laughing, dancing and I am sure finding a little bit of trouble to get into.
Sending you all hugs...

with Love and HOPE,

I'm thinking about my Maddy tonight, so naturally I'm thinking about you and your Maddie. Really, there aren't many days where you don't run through my thoughts. I don't think there will ever be a day where I don't think about the people who have touched my life in one way or another. I hope your days are bringing you little blessings. God knows we need the little ones to keep us going after losing the greatest ones.

Hugs,

Wow, that picture of Maddie is priceless. It brings tears to my eyes. So beautiful. 2 years already... It's going on 5 now since Nathan has been gone. Never a day goes by they aren't still so much with us....

It's been awhile since I have visited and just wanted to say I think of all of you and am glad to hear the fundraisers continue and that Maddie's House is in the works. That is awesome. I am glad to hear that Sam is doing well and hope that Max is stable. God Bless....your in my thoughts.

With all the driving I have been doing lately, I am so far behind on my CB sites! I come by, check for updates, look at the pics (this one is so beautiful!), and then I think I'll get back by to post, and before I know it the day is gone from me. Always keeping you in our hearts and prayers!

Love you!

I woke up the other morning thinking abou it being Maddie's birthday, and thinking it would have been her ninth - then it hit me that she would have been ten. Honestly, time has slowed since she passed. Steve keeps saying that I haven't been the same since Maddie left us. It must be true.

Yes. She was just that kind of girl.

Loving you all, still praying for Max and Sam for 100%, and nothing less.

I was doing an internet search for Dr. Escolar and came across your site. We too had the pleasure of meeting Dr. K and her team although we did not take the transplant route for our son's MPS, we still see Dr. Escolar and are becoming more active in raising awareness and funds for the devasting yet unknown disorder that rips families apart. I cried when I read through your struggles, but had so much faith and hope in your love for your children.
May 2008 bring you comfort peace and health.
Fondly,

Max, it's hard to believe that your transplant was five years ago. I heard about you the day before, as I remember it, when Lisa Ferguson asked my daughter Raychel to pray for you and your family. I looked up MLD - it sounded familiar to me, for some reason. At least, I had heard of the word "leukodystrophy,: because I had read an articl on it years ago in a Reader's Digest. Well, here you are, twelve years old and full of life, and we are so blessed that you continue to sparkle! Those eyes alone melt my heart.

I just wanted to come by to celebrate with you this milestone. You will always be my hero, Max. You and your sister and brother. Loving you all so very much.
