Cooper's Diet consists of mostly raw food with very little animal products. He occasionally eats some raw goat cheese or an egg a couple times a week. He takes a product called Pure Synergy to help keep his immune system in fighting condition! And most important of all is regular prayer for his health! My reasons for limiting his animal products can be found by reading The China Study by T Colin Cambell.
Cooper's Mannatech regimen that he took during treatment and about 2 years after:

Welcome to Coopey's Website. Cooper was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma on July 1, 2004. He started chemo on July 13, had tumor removed on October 13 and completed 23 radiation treatments on December 21. He finished his treatment on May 10th of 2005. His end of treatment scans showed "NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE"!!! To see more photos, click on the link at the bottom of the page.
Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.

Monday, February 7, 2011 8:57 AM CST Hello out there Caringbridge world, it's been awhile! I can't believe we are coming up on 6 years off treatment and 7 years since diagnosis. I hate getting older, but love to put all of that further in the rear view mirror! I wish I could have looked forward in 2004 and seen the amazing kid I would have in 2011! He is a basketball superstar! He is playing in a league right now with kids that are like 3 feet taller than him and he is doing great!
On the medical side, he is doing great. He very rarely gets sick and is super healthy. His hip growth plate is doing well and the 2 legs are actually closer in size now than when he started getting it checked out! Amazing! Tomorrow we are going to see a urologist because he has had microscopic blood in his urine at some of his checkups over the years and they want to check it out. He may have had some damage to his bladder due to the bombardment of chemo drugs he had. He doesn't really have any major issues, but I am really over going to the hospital. I hate it there and don't even like going to his yearly checkup. I hate how when they find out he is homeschooled they ask a million questions to make sure he is okay! Like I am not doing a good job with him! Whatever! I do like how they focus on nutrition though. They even gave me info about how he should mostly be eating fresh fruits and veggies and very little animal products. Way to go UofM! Well, I guess that is it for now. My prayers go out to all of these kids out there still fighting childhood cancer. I keep praying that more research dollars will start to go to the kids. It is greatly needed.
