Welcome to Arianna's Web page. This page is made available to keep our family and friends updated on Arianna's health.

On October 8, 2002, Arianna was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (M7) at the age of 18 months. She underwent 9 months of intensive hospitalized chemotherapy, followed by interleukin-2 treatments. She appeared recovered after treatment, but in August 2003, Arianna had a central nervous system relapse in the form of a leukemic brain tumor. She had 5 months of radiation and chemotherapy leading up to her January 2004 non-related bone marrow transplant. In October of 2004 Arianna was able to make her wish come true as she spent a week in Disney World. Currently Arianna, now a healthy and strong 6 year-old is doing very well. She is in first grade and loves ballet, choir, and Brownies, and Webkinz.

Sunday, January 6, 2008: New photos uploaded!!!

It has been a VERY long time since we've updated the website and I apologize. However, it is good that we have had no bad news to report!!!

It has been four years since Arianna's Bone Marrow Transplant (as of January 8) and she continues to do very well!!

This past year has been absolutely wonderful as Arianna continues to grow and develop into a great kid! We visited my parents this summer and Arianna was able to hang out with her two cousins from Florida - Brooke & David as well as her other two cousins from Ohio - Jenna & Monica. She had a blast and cannot wait to see them again.

Arianna is currently in first grade at St. Mary's in Spring Lake and is doing very well both academically and socially and is developing good friendships with other kids both in school and out of school. She continues her ballet and joined the local Girl Scout Brownies which she loves.

Another highlight of this past summer involved the 10th Annual P.O.R.T. Charity Golf Outing in she was the honorary golfer and hit the first ball. She received a freestanding memorial plaque that has a picture of her and the actual golf ball that she hit. She refers to this as her first trophy! BTW, the event was a success and broke a record as it raised over $30,000 for P.O.R.T!

Rachel & I continue to do well and appreciate and enjoy each day that we have together as a family.

Again, as always, we continue to thank you all for your prayers and support. I will update the site again after she goes in for her 3rd After Care Transition check-up.

Take care and God bless!
