ALEXANDER JOHN DROW
Alexander was diagnosised with ALL Pre-B-Cell on September 6, 2000. He also had double Bronchopneumonia at time of diagnosis. We spent two weeks in Mott's Childrens Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Alex went into remission on the 12th day. We finished our first year of hard treatment and then went into our first year of maintence. We had our Make-A-Wish trip to Walt Disney World Florida in May of 2002. In October 2002 we were going to be starting our second and last year of maintence, however Alexander relasped with CNS. We started the intense treatment for CNS and he was back into remission on the 3rd spinal. April 10, 2003 Alexander underwent a Unrelated Bone Marrow Transplant of which was a perfect match even same blood type. On April 25th he started to show signs of IPS and ended up in the PICU on the ventilator and then dialysis. Alexander struggled for 3 months and on June 20, 2003 Jesus came to bring him home. Alexander will be deeply missed by John and Charlene, parents and also his two brothers, Spencer and Evan. We all look forward to the day we are together again.

Monday, June 2, 2008 9:00 PM CDT Wow! It has been a very long time since I have wrote on Alex's site, but rest asure, things are going okay. We are approaching upon our 5th year anniversary on June 20th and it still seems just like yesterday. Spencer and Evan are getting so big!! They both continue to make Alex a part of their lives. They will talk to each other about Alex and do things together that Alex loved to do. It's very heart warmer to see and hear them keeping their biggest brothers spirit alive!! Spencer is going to play Pop Warner Football this fall and he is VERY excited!!! Evan, well he just wants to outside with his bugs! John and I continue to struggle through each day and are always reminded of this time every year living in the hospital with Alex. In February we were able to visit with the Brennen's from Blissfield. They were in town for some snowmobiling and we got together and had a very nice visit. I will be starting my LAST semester in the Nursing program this fall. I still can not believe the end is near! It has been a long 5 years. Well I guess I'll go for now, hope all is well.....
Take Care and God Bless, Charlene
