Morgan Christine Awrey

Our Morgan is an angel now in heaven. We love her and miss her very much.

Morgan was born November 22, 2000. She was sick often and on with Pnemonias, RSV, Enfluenza and others. When she was 10 months old we found out she had Hurler's syndrome. We took her to Minnesota for a Bone Marrow Transplant. In July of 2002 she started showing signs of Hemolitic Anemia and in December it was so terribly bad that it took her life on December 13, 2002 at 2 years 3 weeks old. We will never forget her for she has touched many lives.

Well, sorry it has been so long to write. Things at the Awrey house is going well. Alyssa is a third grader and loves it. She is so like by everyone and very good at sports. Maddison isn't such a baby anymore. She's in second grade and is extremely smart, well book smart, not very good in comprehension though. Cecelia is in Kindergarten. She resembles Morgan soooo much. She is doing good, but I think she gets some of Morgan's croupy cough -as Cecelia has allergies and asthma. But she is doing great and hasn't missed much school (only one day so far). Andrew has started speech this year. He was in preschool but had to move to speech classes, Cecelia takes speech too, and we thought once he starts school his speech would improve. But come to find out he doesn't want to talk unless Cecelia's around. Huh, kinda reminds us of Morgan and Alyssa. They would never want to do anything away from each other. We were talking the other day how Alyssa use to sleep under Morgan's bed when she wasn't in it. And last but not least, Samantha is living with us and doing great! She is in 4th grade and doing wonderful. She has lived here with us since Dec. 07 and her mom is getting back on track so Samantha is able to visit with her again. Emotionally it can be a rollercoaster with the two families, but Samantha's is holding on great and her school grades are improving tremenously.
As for Brandon & myself, we are running the carpet cleaning business and doing well. My health has been okay, but I have to go weekly to get iron injections, and premeds since I'm allergic to the meds. But I see the hemotologist again in May so maybe that will change. My dad, John, has been through a lot finding out in March 09 that he is having problems with his brain because of a stroke he had probably in 07 or 08. Crazy, the docs say that it's too dangerous to do much because so much damage has happened, he acts fine, but sometimes goes numb in his arm or leg. His memory is not very good though, well the short term. He has to write everything down. They said he could live hours or years, they don't know. So him and mom take lots of vacations and are doing good.
We now have 7 neices and 2 nephews. I know and everyone said my family couldn't have boys. One is my god son. Unfortunately, my brother dan has had two children go meet Morgan up in heaven over the last few years. Yesterday would have been haylee's 4th birthday. My sister Angie just found out yesterday she's expecting her 3rd, so pray for her.
Brandon's sister Lora moved to Indy and we love having her around. Well, the kids love having Sophia around and I love it too. She just had a baby 7 weeks ago and named her Peyton. She's very cute, but I'm afraid she has had some problems with health.
Besides, family Morgan would now be 9 1/2. can you believe it? I was reading the other day about a 9 year old hurler girl and she is doing well, but goes through so much everyday. So, love you Morgan and god bless everyone
