Journal

Monday, December 23, 2002 at 06:49 PM (CST)

Katie has been home from Brigham's a little over a month now. I think she is pretty cozy in her little apartment over the store. We are able to help her out with the errands she needs someone to do for her, take her to her Doctor appointments, and stay over when she isn't feeling just right.

She did have to spend a few nights at EMMC due to a fever that needed some antibiotics. But except for the exhaustion she seems to be getting better each day. In fact she was able to put up her own Christmas tree and has been making some very cute Christmas angels.

As you know her birthday was this Sunday. Can't believe she is 22. Remember the Christmas when she was born? She gave us a bad time then too. Rushing off to intensive care in Lewiston on Christmas Eve. It was so cold, we had trouble finding a car that would start so that we could go and bring her home.

To those of you who were out Caroling at her window - she wants you to know how much she enjoyed the singing - wishing that she could be out there with you.

Mike, Liza, Katie and I want to take a minute and thank all of you for helping us through this very difficult year. We know that many people are out there keeping an eye on us and we want you to know how much it has meant to us to know that you care and that you are willing to help us out if need be. And to Dr Judy - thanks for making Katie laugh!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
