Journal
Monday, March 15, 2004 8:52 PM EST Tomorrow is Alex's one year post-transplant anniversary. What a year it has been....the first 6 months were a definite rollercoaster ride and definitely not for the faint of heart. The last 6 months have been much better and things have pretty much settled down into a nice rhythm. There have been the occasional causes for concern - a cold, a bump in lab numbers or something strange but overall we have been blessed.
Alexandra is now 19 months old and doing very well. She has a new little brother, Zechariah, and he is 2 months of age. She is still adjusting to the time sharing but that was and is expected from all children. She attends Kindermusik and loves other children. She is not so crazy about two little boys that chase her and try to kiss her but she politely tells them "no." They persist and she usually stops being polite and says no much more firmly. It is rather cute to watch. :-)
As a family we continue to be grateful and thankful to each and everyone one of you that have taken the time to pray, call, send words of encouragement and everything else. We know that the grace of God is the only thing that allows us to share any of this with you. Please continue to pray for our strength in the Lord and we will continue to pray for each of you. God bless!
