JUDE BY CREATING A PEPPER AT CHILI'S TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD CANCER!!!! St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s Grill & Bar® announced the kick-off of their fifth annual Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. Now through September 30, Chili’s restaurants around the country and, for the first time, in Puerto Rico, are marking National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by inviting people to get creative and raise funds to help St. Jude find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. Guests at participating Chili’s restaurants can contribute to St. Jude in multiple ways: - Make a donation to St. Jude and receive a Create-A-Pepper chili pepper coloring sheet designed for display at restaurants during the month. - Purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker. - Buy a customized Create-A-Pepper key that can be cut for use at home or the office. - Eat at Chili’s on Monday, Sept. 29, when Chili’s will donate 100 percent of profits from participating restaurant sales to St. Jude. Visit www.createapepper.com and to make an online donation. PASS IT AROUND!!!! GET YOUR FRIENDS/FAMILY TOGETHER!!! I am grateful to have known her and to know her family. I am grateful for how she has changed my life and the life of my family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, her family, always. Love, Kris Kris Oduro <kjoduro@yahoo.com> Haymarket, VA - Tuesday, November 27, 2007 8:24 AM CST I wish that there was a way for me to describe the profound impact Catie has on me. She helps me to remember the true definition of so many words: Beauty, Strength, Determination, Courage, Compassion...and many others. I never had the pleasure of meeting your beautiful little angel but she has forever changed me. I think of her often--especially when I need a little inspiration. Thank you for Catie. And please know, that she will never, ever be forgotten. Her footprints are definitely engraved upon my heart! Julie Diehl <Jewels_44@msn.com> Frederick, MD - Wednesday, November 14, 2007 9:07 AM CST An old Indian Chief named White Elk once said: "When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice." It is comforting to think that those who have passed are now rejoicing for someday, it too will be our turn to rejoice with them. Angel C. Dani Thrift <DaniT601@aol.com> Tempe, Az USA - Tuesday, November 13, 2007 1:59 PM CST Part of Catie's lasting legacy is how she drew Cheryl and Kent's church small group together. Catie and her family became a prayer project for the group and that opened the way for a service project. The 'Catie experience' united the group as never before as we learned to walk where Jesus walked. The group has produced three new small groups since then, in no small part because of what we shared of Catie's life. The Cracked Pots small group, Seneca Creek Community Church David Dillon <dilldb@comcast.net> Derwood, MD USA - Tuesday, November 13, 2007 11:11 AM CST Catie was a brave girl who was very much loved. Thinking about her strong spirit through her difficult times, has helped me through my own difficult times. May God bring comfort to all of us who remember her.
