Hi Ellen,

I think of you often and can't believe how big the kids are now.

MRI time... remember it well. It is hard to switch hospitals and routines. I feel bad that Sean has to wait till 2pm. Maybe you could keep him up late the night before so the next morning will go by quick and he won't realize how hungry he is.

Seems like yesterday we were having a bite to eat at Finnegans near the Ronald McDonald House. Time has certainly flown hasn't it?

Sean is in my prayers.

Hi Sean, I have have adopted you from the C.O.L.E Foundation. I have read some of your entries and I'm glad that I have been able to adopt you, I will be keeping up with your story and look forward to becoming to get to know you a little better.
My name is Stacy Kopp, My family and I live in Luverne MN. I have an 8yr. old daughter Janae, a 6yr. old son Camron and a 8 month old son Aydon and a husband name Jason. I do daycare in my home and care for 8-11 kids everyday. So you are a triplet, I hear, that's cool! Are you in Kindergarten or first grade? I am sorry to hear that you have NB, I do not know much about it but do hope that I will learn more. Your entries sound like you are doing pretty good as of now so that is great news!
To get to know you better you can email me at kopper2@knology.net, and tell me a little about yourself if you want to. I am excited to take you under my wing and pray for you and your family, your pictures are pretty cool, that's awesome that you can iceskate cuz I'm not very good at that at all! I used to rollerblade when I was younger and that was alot of fun, but now that I'm 31 years old I have along way to fall and I'm really just a chicken on getting hurt. Are you in any other sport? I hope to hear from you soon and I will be thinking and praying for you to remain feeling good! Take Care and God Bless you!

What an awesome ice skating story. I loved the pics too. It is neat to look at the dates. Ellen, I honestly do not know how you do it sometimes, you amaze me. We are going to have to plan a trip sometime to meet up in person with the kids. I would love to meet you and them in person someday. Maybe this year. God bless and enjoy the rest of the winter.

Hi, Ellen!

Just decided to check Sean's pages, as I thought I remembered you saying that they weren't up for a bit??? Not sure if my recollection was accurate, but that's what I was wondering, today. So, I'm so glad I check, as I saw some beautiful pictures you added. I love the ice rink pics, and the Christmas one of all your beautiful kids! So, Ellen! Creative is an understatement! :)

I noticed that your ice rink pics share a common January 17th date...with Papa Scott, and little Scott...and then, yesterday's pictures with the same date, but a few years, later. Was that intentional, or an amazing coincidence? Either way...incredible, and wonderful, all in one!

Thinking of you, Sean and your little darlings. Hoping to hear a new, extremely entertaining Hanson story, very soon! :)

With shared hearts and hugs,

Beth Anne

Hi,
I wanted to make you aware (maybe again) about the Cure Childhood Cancer petition! The GREAT news is that CureSearch, LIVESTRONG and Alex’s Lemonade Stands have ALL written about the Petition on their websites! And TX Children’s and DUKE have both allowed us to setup paper versions inside the hospitals! WE ARE MAKING HEADWAY and are at over 11,000 signatures! But we need your help again. If you can please make your readers aware, email it around again, and give just a little publicity, I think we can make this happen!

Thanks again,

Sounds like you guys are having a full summer. I just wanted to let you know I'm still checking in on you guys and continuing to pray for Sean's health. Hope you are doing lots of fun "summery" things.

Yesterday I was able to meet one of our Pen Pals:
4 year old Abby and her mom from MN. Abby is waiting for
a new perfect heart, and so they will be living in

such a blessing to actually meet a Pen Pal in person.
My step-daughter is now living in NYC, so I'm hoping

Your yellow shirts & your banner. We need one like

Your children are just beautiful. I hope you are

Hi Sean,

I know you don’t know me, but my name is John Raschke. I am also known as Grandpa John, or just Gj by all of my Little Buddies. Who are my Little Buddies? Well, my Little Buddies are all of the children suffering from Neuroblastoma (to include NED or in remission), and their families. So if you don’t’ mind, I be honored if I could call you my Little Buddy. On second thought, after seeing what a fine young strapping man you’re becoming, maybe I had better just call you “Bud” or “Sport”, or maybe your name, Sean would do huh?

I am happy to read that you’re 4.5 years from diagnosis. And looking back further, I admire just how courageous I think you and your family are. For a young fella, you sure fought a lot of baddies. You know, I wish I had a magic bullet that would just Kick Neuroblastoma’s butt and that the doctors would find a cure. Well I am sad to say that I don’t have that type of magic, and it just hurts my heart really bad to see how you suffered ( or any of my little buddies for that matter). And after reading so many journals, it hurt so much that I just had to do something; that something is I decided to raise funds for neuroblastoma research and donate it to the Band of Parents (I know you know all about them) who is partnering with the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where the wonderful doctors are working very hard to find a cure and improve treatments. While I raise donations, I also decided that I would run ultra marathons and other types of running races to honor my all of my little buddies. You can read about it here:

http://www.runningforthecure@blogspot.com/

So, this is my promise to you and your family: I will continue to run and raise donations for the cause until my legs get too old or tired to run, then I’ll just have to let my heavenly Father carry me onward in my racing till the cure is found…Yep! That’s my promise to you and I’ll keep it.

PS: Keep peeking at my Blog for I am going to run my next race in your honor (So far I am running in honor of Charli, Janie, and couple of more Buddies, but I don’t have their Mom’s permission yet. My last race I ran for our little buddy and new Angel, Austin Melgar – you can read all about it on my blog) So, would you please ask your Mom if I can copy one of your pictures (I really like the crown one) because I want to plastic coat it and wear in around my neck when I run my next race. It’s the “Flirts with Dirt trail race held in Novi Michigan. I’ll be running 10K, or 6.2 miles - Looking forward to hearing from you.

God Bless You and Your Family, I am praying for you daily.

Dear Ellen, Sean, and All,

I found your message in Jacob Duckworth's guest book. I have been signing Jacob's book for about two and a half to three years. I sign several books. One of my first was for the late Connor Hunley, in Tennessee.

I certainly enjoyed seeing your pictures tonight. I noticed a note, in Sean's guest book, from someone in Burnt Hills, NY, which is an adjoining community to Clifton Park. There was a mention of an Illa Jean, in that note. We have had Illa on our prayer chain, at our church, for over a year.

Sean, I am glad you and your sisters delivered May Baskets. What a sweet thing to do!

God bless you always.

Grace and peace,

We are at MSKCC for our follow-up. Its been 4years since the end of tx for us too. Tomorrow is the MRI and the yucky IV-we are trying a lidocaine patch(Synera) that worked awesome last visit-I am so surprised that Sloan doesn't use them!! I just hate our kids going through any more pain then they already have.

Great to catch-up on your updates. It has been awhile since I have been by - sorry about that. Jan-Mar are always tough months for me for some reason; must be the weather! So glad to hear Seans's appointments went well in NYC. And it sounds like you all had some fun times, too. Glad Ruth was able to join you and help out.

Thinking of you, sending my love and hugs to all the kids...they are all growing up so fast and are just beautiful/handsome,

As the mother of three boys, I must write again and tell you how inspiring and amazing your story is! I am in awe of your strength and of the kids and especially Sean, who seems so strong and so capable for one so young. He is blessed as are you all. What a beautiful family.

Hi Ellen,
My goodness! Your children are growing like weeds. I can't believe how much they grow between pictures. I just wanted you to know we'll be saying lots of prayers for clear scans. We'll get a postcard out for the geography project. Let me know if Flat Stanley really does want a trip to Hawaii. One of my best friends lives there. I know she and her children would be happy to show him around the Big Island.

Love,

I hope the power didn't stay off for long. As cozy as the children look, I don't think I would recommend it for where you live.

Funnily enough, that's the way I rang the new year in too.

Ellen, thanks for keeping us updated on the ebbs and flows of your life. I don't comment often, but I stop by and check on Sean and your family every day and celebrate that everyone is growing up and hanging in there. I love you can do, positive outlook and your commitment to helping people in our circumstances.
