Friday, August 28, 2009 10:20 PM CDT Logan L. Laack, age 20, of Plymouth, currently residing in Milwaukee took his next step in life with amazing strength, dignity, and love on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
He was born on August 2, 1989 in Sheboygan son of Lyle L. Laack and Debra J. Kohlmann-Laack.
He graduated from Plymouth High School in 2007 and was currently attending MATC in Milwaukee.
He was baptized, confirmed, and a member of Saron United Church of Christ in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.
Throughout his life and schooling career Logan was involved in youth sports, participated in theater for young audiences, was a member of the Clover Crusaders 4-H club, participated in many activities in high school including; band, drama, chorus, tennis, and bowling, and he also served on the Children’s Hospital Youth Advisory Board.
Logan was a former employee of the Plymouth Piggly Wiggly, and was currently employed at the C. Adams Bakery in the Milwaukee Public Market.
In his free time he enjoyed; movies, music, space exploration, art, bowling, billiards, golf, tennis, baseball, snow boarding, wake boarding, and skate boarding.
Survivors include his mother Debra J. Kohlmann-Laack of Plymouth, his father Lyle Laack (special friend Doris Harrington) of Plymouth, a sister, Latreace Laack and her fiancée Jason Bucher of Milwaukee, his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Annette Kohlmann of Plymouth, aunts and uncles, Kevin and Connie Kohlman, Tom and Lana Laack-Stoll, Linda Laack, and Gene Laack. Cousins, Jason Laack, Christopher Laack, Sarah Stoll, Jane Stoll, and Mark Heichler and Bryan his dog. Many relatives and special friends further survive him.
A sister, Justine Laack, his paternal grandparents, Holis and Lois (Bohenstengle) Laack, Donn and Ronny Laack, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth. Family will gather at the Salem Plankroad Cemetery in the Town of Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday morning for burial. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 PM until the time of service.
On behalf of Logan and his family we would like to thank all of you that have supported Logan through your prayers, thoughts and kindness. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to the talented and dedicated doctors and staff at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin who truly loved and cared for Logan.
His battle was long, but his love for life will always persist. Logan continues to be an inspiration to us all.
