Praying constantly for Jake and his entire family. May you all feel God's wonderful love as it surrounds you each and every day and every minute of it. God bless you all. Believing strongly in our Great Physician's ability to heal Jake with a miracle or to lead the doctors to new developments that will ultimately heal Jake here on earth. Just wanted you to know that I check on little Jake's updates every chance I get. To know that he is off the ventilaor now, makes me cry tears of joy!!! My brother, Mike Nicholson, I believe works with Jake's dad and keeps us informed. Having a new son (Lucas) who is just 5 1/2 months old, makes be think how hard this must be for Jake's parents. But I want you to know that Jake's success story ( I know it will be a success) makes me want to strive to be a great Dad to my little man. Jake is an inspiration to us all. We are praying for him every day in New Olreans!!!

My husband and I ate at Chili’s last year for this event and are going tonight at 6. Much to my surprise, 13 of our family members are joining us! Tonight, they will learn about what a miracle Jake is and what an incredible place St Jude is. P.S. Daddy may get out of the hospital tomorrow. Mom and I have been up there around the clock. He is getting stronger and the pneumonia is improving. With an incision 18 inches long his recovery will take some time but at least the aneurysm has been repaired.

Hey Don, May family has been keeping chili's pretty busy. Their food is wonderful and to know they are support St. Jude's is awesome. Jake's Name is all over the place in the colored chili peppers along with many other childern of St Judes. Thank the Lord that we have a place of business that want to help our childern. I have been checking the status of little Jake regular the last 3 weeks and God is so good. He loves us so much. Just look at little Jake. He is still showing off in Jesus Name. It is great to here Jake is breathing all on his own and hungry.I pray Lord right now that Jake will continue to gain strength, breath with ease and will be able to eat and drink whatever his wants soon. Praise the LORD!!!I was so glad to read the report this morning from MO and get Don's report later! I had been away from my computor since Wednesday and had been told Jake and family were having some tough challenges. One of my devotionals today had this scripture in it. "YOU TURNED MY WAILING INTO DANCING; YOU REMOVED MY SACKCLOTH AND CLOTHED ME WITH JOY!" My Mother-In-Law went to be with Jesus last Thursday and of course it was so bittersweet. She was a very special lady. We had a celebration service yesterday and of course with this message today I am truly celebrating. GOD IS SO GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!!! I wanted to sign so so bad last night and my computer was acting up again. I can't tell you how awesome I have felt since Jake has come off the vent. We have all be a witness to one of God's miracles. The power of prayer is amazing. I have been singing and humming praises all day. When I received her email, I went on your website, and was blown away by your unbelievable journey of strength, courage, endurance, faith, and determination. I pray and read updates on Jake quite often, but I've never signed his guestbook before. I hope you don't mind a little unsolicited medical advice, but I read that he was eating ice chips. My 22 month old daughter has very severe asthma and our pediatric pulminologist (Dr. Vaughty from Toledo Children's Hospital) doesn't allow her (and many of his other patients) to have anything cold to eat or drink because it can effect her airway. Ice (and other cold things) causes the throat to constrict a little which narrows the airway. She actually has everything lukewarm and it has made a remarkable difference in the number of breathing problems we've had. Please just consult your doctor with this idea and get his reccomendation for Jake, but I felt the need to point this out.

All I can say is Praise God! PraiseGod! Praise God! I kept up with the updates in the afternoon but missed the evening one. My adult Sunday School class indulged me yesterday and let me talk about Jake and read the update for about 15 minutes during prayer request time. There is one couple in our class whose little boy earned his angel wings at 3 years old about 15 years ago. I am sure when they listen, they identify with the family in a way I can't possibly. I try to be sensitive to them as I talk about it, but yesterday, I just felt so impressed to share the gravity of yesterday. We prayed for Jake. Then I went to the service and the sermon was on Heaven. I cried during the whole service! Sooooo, when I got home and read that he did so well, I just fell to my knees. Mel, you are so right. With every miraculous recovery, with every successful baby step, we will give thanks and praise to God from whom all blessings flow. Right now my heart is so full! Jake, we are so proud of the fighting spirit you choose to have! We are so thankful that you have such a wonderfully supportive family. Mel, just know that your staff loves you too. Your are right where you need to be. We will keep praying for successful baby steps toward going home. We will also keep praying for that moment when the doctors look at the scans and say, "I promise that there were tumors here. Where are they?"

I already signed your guestbook today, but I noticed that someone put lyrics to a song down earlier and I thought that was a fantastic idea. I have my own song that I listen to often and think of you. so, for you Jake, here's a couple of lines from Lonestar's song "Mountains" :

Another miracle for "w
Wake Jake". They abound with this angel. I have thought about you, little one, dozens of times today and, during the sermon at church turned to my precous Nancy and saw tears coming from her eyes. I asked if something was wrong and she, in her beautiful way, said - Praying for Jake. Of course, the tears came in mine as well then. Life is so precious and Jake confirms that even more every day. Thank you little fella' for coming into ours. Dear Sovereign Lord, feel the tips of Your fingers as Jake crawls up into the cup of your hand for his rest this night. Protect him, comfort him, keep him warm and cover him with your warm breath. If it is Your will, breathe the air of healing on him and let him go home. We love you with all of our heart and know of your absolute power and mercy. Bless this family who has been completely loyal and confident of your presence in their lives through all of this. I'll check in on you tomorrow (oops, late today) sweet Jake. Can I borrow the Hummer too Mo?

I have posted information about Jake in several places. One is on a teacher website that I visit and there are many many prayers for Jake and the rest of you there. One of the teachers posted the following and I really wanted to share it here. The words of the song are so amazing.
