Journal
Monday, December 13, 2010 Today marks SIX years since Tessa completed her chemo. We say over and over, "We are truly blessed".
Today also marks our first snow day this year. It is way too cold for this early in the season, hope it isn't a sign of our winter.
We did have a wonderful HOT summer. Louisville made the news as the hottest city this summer. We LOVED it that way and made great use of the neighborhood pool.
For the third year, Tessa spend a week away at Camp Quality with other cancer survivors. She is making great memories and friends. Three girls seems to be very tight and pickup where they left off quite easily. It is great watching these kids on the video we receive each year.
August brought a week in Florida at the beach. It also brought our first cast as Jack broke his foot poolside. That took a couple of days away from the water since he couldn't get it wet until it was "set". He was making such good progress on swimming without flotations too. Next summer...
Medically, Tessa is down to annual checks at the pediatric OBGyn, annual bloodwork, and still not quite sure if annual checkup at clinic or every two years. We did skip clinic this summer after being told to skip but then they questioned why we didn't come. I think as long as the other doctor saw her, they were good with that.
Otherwise, it is life as normal and we love it.
