Wednesday, December 23, 2015 9:55 AM CST Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed Christmas. Christmas is still really hard, but with 4 grandchildren now, we are making the best of it for them and for our other children, esp the 5 still at home. 13 years and 2 days ago, our lives were changed forever when our precious daughter was dxd with DIPG.
Our greatest wish is for a CURE for DIPG and other Childhood Brain Cancers to be found, to be debt free, to be able to replace all the windows in our home, as nearly all have black mold and to be able to finish replacing the flooring that needs to be replaced. We have already removed all of the carpet and have been walking on temporary flooring, or the sub-flooring for a while now. Our laundry room is still in a closet and there are 8 people living in our home. So much stress since Marissa was called home.
Thankful for the little blessings in our lives and for the ability to donate several of our puppies to families with special needs children, vets with PTSD and childhood brain cancer children. One day, my dream is to have a building where we can train service dogs for families, at a greatly reduced cost, that many trainers are charging, as there is such a great need and to finally finish writing our story.
Praying for peace for this broken world.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours
