Ray relapsed on 10/12/05 after receiving his stem cells on 6/21/2005. This was 113 days post transplant. Ray was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on 1/14/04. He had chemotherapy treatments for 1 year and 1 month when on February 8th 2005, we learned that his Leukemia had returned. Ray's stem cell transplant was a cord blood (or umbilical cord) donor. Ray's leukemia once again returned with a nasty infection to boot and his battle was won by going home to be with Jesus. Ray had a very strong faith and knew that Jesus, the Son of God, is our Lord and Savior. He is now playing basketball, football and soccer with some of his friends in Heaven
Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." -Abraham Lincoln

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 9:55 PM CST I am not sure what to say. You have been gone almost as long as you were here. You would be 14 now. We miss you terribly. I wonder what you would look like, what you would do for fun, how you would do in school. Time may have started to heal this wound that you left in our lives and our hearts, but the scar will last forever.
