Wednesday, July 1, 2009 8:14 PM CDT Dear Everyone, I am so sorry it has been so long since I updated. Kameron is doing well and continues to live life to the fullest. His last scan (chest CT) was done in June. We went to the doctor today for the results. They were good. We are never told normal but that is okay. Kameron’s back has been fine. He has a MRI to check it and sees Dr. Puno once a year. It was fine last time in November. He has a few other doctors that he sees every year but those visits have all been routine. His next CT will be in October.
Kameron continues to enjoy school. He is very excited to be a senior and is actually looking forward to the beginning of school. He has been to visit several colleges and plans to send applications in early fall. Kameron is still a lifeguard at the YMCA. But hasn’t had time to be on a swim team this summer. He is spending the rest of his summer working on the Providence show, The Foreigner. He has a pretty big part. They will be performing the end of July. Kameron’s biggest excitement this summer is the trip he just returned from. He went to Ireland and Great Britain with a group from school. He said it was the trip of a lifetime. He had a blast. He got to see several castles, and said Ireland is one of the most beautiful places in the world. He also went to a play in London, rode the “tube” and the London eye. He said he saw several places from the Harry Potter series. (I am not a fan so I don’t remember what he saw but he was excited) He also visited Scotland and Wales. He was gone for 19 days and enjoyed every one. We participated in Relay for Life again this year. Kameron had to miss it because he was on his trip. I was surprised by the number of people who asked where he was. It is nice that people look for him and his friends. Kameron is looking forward to participating next year. Thank you for continuing to check on Kameron and thank you for the continued prayers. So many children continue to be touched by cancer, so many are being lost. Please continue to pray for all those suffering with cancer and for the families of those that have lost their battle. Please continue to pray for a cure.
Take care and God bless, Jean and Ken
