Jonathon Brown

Jonathon was diagnosed with a brain tumor on March 25, which was removed during a 10 hour surgery on March 29, 2002.

It was about a month later that we were told that it was Medulloblastoma, a malignant tumor that would need a lot of long and hard treatment.

Wow, it's been a long time since I updated Jonathon's page. I don't know what possessed me to do it now but I just thought I should.

Jonathon is doing wonderful. It's been a long couple of years. Seems like one thing after another has happened.

Jonathon just accepted an assistant manager position at his place of employment. For the most part he enjoys it but of course, has bad days just like the rest of us.

Medically, all of his MRI's have come back normal. His bone density has decreased therefore raising his risk of fracture. He has had 2 colonoscopies in the last 2 years and both times they have found precancerous polyps. Therefore, he will have one every year until they don't find anything. He sees most of his doctors once a year but there's a couple that he sees every three months. His next MRI will be in February.

His brother suffered a gun shot wound to the thigh this past April so we have been spending the summer trying to get him all healed up. He too is doing well.

All in all, we can't complain, things could be a whole lot worse.
