Jonathon Brown

Jonathon was diagnosed with a brain tumor on March 25, which was removed during a 10 hour surgery on March 29, 2002.

It was about a month later that we were told that it was Medulloblastoma, a malignant tumor that would need a lot of long and hard treatment.

Hello to all, hope this finds everyone happy and healthy.

Sorry it has been so long since we updated - will try to better about keeping the page updated. Thanks to everyone who still checks in and keeps Jonathon in their prayers. (We can never have too many of those.)

Jonathon just had a spinal and cranial MRI and things are looking good. The doctor would like for us to have the MRI's once a year but I'm not so sure that we are ready for that, we would like to keep having them every six months. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Jonathon is doing great ! Of course, he does have some health issues that he has to deal with but they are minimal compared to what they could be.... he doesn't complain, he is just thankful to be here. His hearing has stayed about the same for the past three years, his balance issues havent changed any, some days that is alot worse than others. He was just told that his bone density is not so good and is on medication that will hopefully make his bones stronger, but that could take up to a year to see if it is going to work or not. But again, we'll take it, it beats the alternative!

He just started his first year at IVY TECH in Sellersburg, and so far is enjoying it. He likes most of his teachers and is only bored with one of his classes. (That would be his speech class.) Hopefully that will liven up soon !!!

Again, thanks to all who are still praying for him, he still has everyday struggles that he deals with and it is not always easy. All the thoughts and prayers are what continues to keep him strong and motivated.
