Lindsay's Page

**Right before today's 1ST PLACE preformance 11-02-08**

Welcome to Lindsay's page It has been provided to keep family and friends updated on her battle with Leukemia.

Lindsay was Diagnosed with pre-b ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on July 3rd 2003. She had been complaining of headaches and had a fever on and off that her doctor couldn't pin to anything. On July 3rd she was in to the doctor again for a fever and he decided to run a CBC at our local hospital. He called us later that afternoon and said Lindsay had Leukemia and we needed to get her to a hospital that night and so began our journey. She is Currently in remission. She does have a chromosome abnormality, but she is standard risk and given a good prognosis. Her treament will be a little more intense, and she is on protocol POG #9905 regimen C. Lindsay, her dad, Bryan, and me..Carine would like to thank everyone who has thought of us or said a prayer for Lindsay. We are thankful from the bottom or our hearts and please pray that Lindsay will be in remission forever! Thank you !
LINDSAY FINISHED CHEMOTHERAPY ON 1-5-06!!!

DID YOU KNOW?
1 out of every 330 children will be diagnosed with cancer (during childhood). Cancer is the number 1 killer amongst children. One option if chemotherapy doesnt work is a bone marrow transplant.
PRETTY UNBELIEVEABLE HUH?

*****In My Daughter's Eyes*****
By Martina McBride

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daugter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

(need I say more!)

Hi there...
All is good in our world... Just had to post a picture up top of Lindsay's Cheer squad, right before they won 1st PLACE in today's competition. They have one more competition next week... Hopefully they will do as awesome then as they did today!!!!
If you remember, last year with pretty much the same group of girls they won 1st place in BOTH competitions... We are surely hoping for a repeat of last year!
Next appointment is in January where we will be marking 3 years OFF TREATMENT.... Can you all believe it!!!!

Love to all,
Carine
