Emily, I can't beleive your a senior in high school this year. I will try to get over to GHS soon for a short visit. I know the ear surgery will go fine. In March of 2007, I fell off a ladder and broke my heel bone in two places. This was going to be a life changing event. Pain the rest of my life and a hard time walking on my left foot but surgery went great. After 15 weeks wearing a boot and physical therapy. I starting walking again and within 9 months I was walking normally and no real pain to speak of. No jogging allowed ever again. Colleen still works at Knox College but we have had two cruises and one scheduled to Alaska in July. We now have 2 granddaughters - Sierra 4 / Hailey 2 in April. Randy & Traci are Juniors at Knox College and Will lives in Austin, Texas. I don't miss all the work involved in teaching but I sure do miss the students. I am active in our church as a Deacon and help on Wed. nights with youth club activities. My prayer and thoughts are always with you and your family. I will come to GHS soon. Mr. Culbertson. Love Mom Kim McEllen <pkremcellen@grics.net> Galesburg, il usa - Sunday, December 7, 2008 6:05 PM CST I just read the postings to Ella's Caring Bridge site since she came home. Leah, Colten, and Ella went to Memphis Monday and Ella had a CT scan done yesterday. They are on their way back now. The CT scan showed the fungal infection is getting smaller. Her counts were down a little but the doctors are not concerned. Ella does not go back to Memphis until Feb. 3 for a bone marrow biopsy. If all continues to go well, the doctors will pull her line in March. We pray this plan will work. Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween and now we can prepare for Thanksgiving and we have much to be thankful for. Hope Emily keeps getting good reports. We will keep her in our prayers.
