Optic Pathway Glioma (Inoperable Brain Tumor) 30 Treatments of Radiation at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. (Jan. 12, 2003-March 5, 2003) Prior to Emily's radiation, Emily had already been through 3 open heart surgeries. She was 1 month old, 15 months, 21 months when she had the heart surgeries. Then at the age of 5 she had a Grand Mull Seizure and that is when we found the brain tumor. The tumor had sat there 6 1/2 years and didn't grow, than Dec. of 2002 it had doubled size. That is when she went through 30 treatments of radiation. It was a horrable year. Emily had quit eating and didn't eat for 9 months. She had to get the feeding tube, currently still has the tube. She will be followed closely at St. Judes Hospital in Memphis Tenn. Please sign her Guess Book. She would love to hear from you.
