Welcome to my webpage. I created this site as a way to be of emotional support to those in need and to provide helpful, informational and fun links when possible. My hope is that if just one person is uplifted in spirit through this page, then I feel I have made some sort of stride in giving back to those who need it. I encourage you to visit the links that I provide and to read the PAST journals AND the guestbook also, for they may provide information that is helpful to you or someone you know. Thursday, June 21, 2007 6:17 PM CDT Stopping in after MANY, MANY months of no journaling! Hoping that you are still stopping by occasionally - please let me know that you were here by signing the guestbook.
I have mentioned in previous entries that I am a volunteer for the ChemoAngels group-where you send notes weekly to an assigned "buddy" that is going through cancer treatments--anyway, I actually got to meet one of my ChemoAngel buddies!!! That was just so exciting for me, we've stayed in contact even after she was done with her treatments and then recently her son graduated from the naval base near here so she was around the area for the graduation and we got to meet. It was absolutely wonderful to have 4 years of correspondence culminate into getting to meet with each other. It was a terrific day and we all had fun! She unfortunately has a reoccurance of her cancer so is going through more chemo and then radiation treatments--so if you are the praying kind, please take a moment to say a word of prayer for this wonderful woman. It's one of the greatest gifts we can give to one another.
My other ChemoAngel buddy has a son-in-law moving to Minnesota, so when they go to see him they will travel a route that will allow us to meet too! So I am looking forward to that too!
Well, my Caringbridge friends - I hope today finds you with the Peace of Christ in your heart. No matter what any of us are going through, we can get through it ONLY with his guidance, grace, mercy and love---knowing HIM and his promises to us provides us with JOY even when we feel there is no joy left in our life and PEACE that only HE can give.
