Bob Peterson's PMP Page

Welcome to our Patient Web Page. It has been created to keep friends, family and co-workers updated on Bob's PMP battle.

Journal

Tuesday, January 24, 2006 9:35 AM CST

When Bob first created this site before his surgery in May, his main concern was that he would be a "loser" and that no one would post on this site. He could not have been more wrong. As the days and months have passed since his surgery, he has received thousands and thousands of postings, many by people we have never even met. Of course Bob has always been special to his family, but we never realized how truly important he was to other people. We have great comfort that knowing that his battle with PMP has not been in vain. Through this long journey, he has been an inspiration to many. His strength, courage, and surprising postive spirit are unlike any qualities we have ever before witnessed in a person. We can only hope that Bob's experiences over the last 5 years have encouraged similar qualities in each of us.

Please have comfort in the fact that Bob is now peaceful and hopefully having the time of his life, drinking fine wines and enjoying authentic Italian feasts. Each and everyone of you that have posted on this site kept his spirits high to the very end. We can all rest easy knowing that this outpouring of support has helped him escape his physical discomfort and continue on to a better place. He, as well as his family, will forever be grateful to all of you for all that you have done. It has been invaluable.

Bob's memorial service will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM for all that wish to attend. It will be held at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Elgin, IL (12N462 Tina Trail, near the intersection of Randall and Highland). A celebration luncheon will be held following the memorial service at Galati's Italian Restaurant in Cary, IL (7 Jandus Road). In lieu of flowers, Bob wished that donations be made to Dr. Loggie's research fund or his children's college funds.

Please remember that Bob did not want this to be a sad experience. He wanted this to be a joyous time in our lives, so stay positive, despite this extreme loss.

Many thanks and great love,
The Peterson Family
Karen, Kirsten, Lauren, Rob, and Matt
