Trevor when my blue skies
turn a darken shade of grey
I close my eyes and see you
then there's sunshine in my day

Your beautiful smile is rooted
in my memory and in my heart
I could lose everything tomorrow
but that, from me will never part

I know you are with me everyday
sending me signs that you are near
And at night, when I lay to sleep
your sweetdreams song is what I hear

Grandpa James is now with you son
give him a hug and kiss from me
I know you're having fun in Heaven,
my Angel, sitting on grandpa's knee

Until that day I can see you smile
and hold you in my arms once more
The memories of you my little boy
give me hope, my heart's restored

Please continue smiling from Heaven
sending your sunshine down each day
And Trevor at night before I sleep
"I love you, Godspeed", is what I pray

“My Mom Lies”

- Author Unknown

My Mom, she tells a lot of lies
She never did before.
From now until she dies,
She'll tell a whole lot more.

Ask my Mom how she is
And because she can't explain,
She will tell a little lie
Because she can't describe the pain.

Ask my Mom how she is,
She'll say, "I'm alright".
If that's the truth, then tell me,
why does she cry each night?

Ask my Mom how she is,
She seems to cope so well.
She didn't have a choice you see
nor the strength to yell.

Ask my Mom how she is,
"I'm fine, I’m well, I'm coping".
For God's sake Mom, just tell the truth
just say your heart is broken.

She'll love me all her life,
I loved her all of mine.
But if you ask her how she is,
She'll lie and say she's fine.

I am Here in Heaven.
I cannot hug from here.
If she lies to you don't listen,
Hug her and hold her near.

On the day we meet again,
We'll smile and I'll be bold.
I'll say, “You’re lucky to get in here, Mom
With all the lies you told!"

Journal

Hello everyone
how here it is already half way through Sept. I have been wanting to post for a while but everytime I sit down in front of he computer to write I totally freeze and go numb. BUT here I go. Anyways September is Child Hood Cancer Awareness month. With this being said there is a fundraiser type thing that a nother cancer mom of mom is doing this year and some of us other mom's and frieds are helping. My friend Shawnee has a little girl Taylor that had ALL and was going through treatment the same time as Trevor's first protocol. When you have a clild with cancer hats become one of your best friens. Every time you leave you need to protect your childs head. Whether it be from the sun in the summer and the chemo makes them extra sencative, or whether it be in the winter to try and keep there bald heads warm. Shawnee has decided to do a little smoething called "HATS FOR HOPE". We are tring to gather as many new or gently used hats as possible in the month of September as we can. Sometime in the being of October we will be delivering this hats to the University of Iowa Hemotology and Oncology unit for all the children that are battleing cancer right now. HAts are special to kids. They can't do different things with there hair but they can be different by wearing different hats to kind show there moods. SO if any one would like to help we will be collecting any new or gently used hats, bandanns, dew rags or any thing else that goes on a childs head. If you would like to help please feel free to contact me at:

s_z_james@yahoo.com
or by sending to 2115 Sampson St.
or call me at 563-299-1850
and I can come pick them up

Shawnee is also exceptin donations if you would like to help but have no childrens hat. With any donation we will be going to stores and purchaseing hats. Hats are always fun. I remember a few time when people brought up Trevor hats. He loved getting new hats. I remember one time out of the bag of hats that he could choose from he choose a blue hershy kiss bandanna. They also let Madi have one and Trevor chose her the yellow hershey kiss bandanna. Please help us with this great cause. We needs all sorts of sizes remember children run from 0- 18 years. All different types too. I hope to hear from some of you all soon. Thank you!

Susie, Jake and Angel Trevor
