Today 13 years. Ago my baby boy of 22 months old named Terrell a day no parent should ever have to hear the words " your son has a brain tumor and it is Cancer"
Never ever forget this day .Then to hear he has less then 35urvival due to his age and type of cancer it which took myself 6 months to say " mellobalstoma" very aggressive type of brain cancer. wow is to say the least.
But in my heart with the little fight baby boy I knew I had and the team of doctors at Gundersen then and yet today still the same ones. We could fight this. Terrell from the first time he was bone via c-section was coming out fighting and scream from the get go and this did not stop him even with Cancer. after 2 days of back to back brain surgery within 2 days of the second one was up and sitting in a high chair playing and feeding himself. They told us it would be up to 3 months before fully walking again on his own. Well to say Terrell would fall pick himself up go again and with in two weeks after surgery nothing was stopping him walking running better then before surgery,!
In this 13 years has brought us many cheering and celebrating milestones. But also many what if's and fears of facing yet another round of cancer due to are first cancer treatment. Then to a road of a Bone marrow transplant in which was the most hard thing you had to face young man the fear of losing you was so visible But we celebrate today and learned to do this each and everyday no matter the cost you done the fight young man and you are my rock you have showed and inspired so many near and far. So for today you smile and enjoy life to the fullest today and always!,,You bet the odds not once but twice so we stand tall to Cancer because it not keeping this young man down on life.So today it chocolate chip cookies and off to field trip for the day !! And Cancer Free !!! Love ya
