Hope all is well with everyone, and have a save and happy memorial weekend!!!!!!! Mindy <mindykruger@mchsi.com> Mason City, ia - Wednesday, May 25, 2005 1:21 PM CDT Kurtie....man is good to hear an update from you! Glad all is well and your counts went up. Now on to a few dounut questions.LOL Were those technically dounuts or in the pastry family===cake dounuts, powdered, chocolate, vanila, maple plain... with or w/o nuts? Posibly long johns, short johns, cinnamon rolls, fried cinnamon rolls, eclairs, bear claws, jelly bismarks(lemon, cherry, raspberry or creme filled),dounut holes, glazed dounuts, turn overs? :) And this black bird hunting obsession. Do you dress them out like cornish game hens? Do you prefer white or dark meat on your black birds? Are the drum sticks meaty? Do you grill or fry for better flavor? I bet you prefer the breast as that is probably where the most meat is on a black bird. This must be practice for turkey hunting....working your way up the bird food chain eh? :) The woodchuck would make a FINE fur frock for your special lady or ladies. Perhaps about 10 more chucks and you can make a coat. However,I urge all the nice senior ladies in the Pine Street vacinity should probably wear flourescent orange while walking about in Kurts area(instead of that old brown fuzzy bathrobe) for safety of course.....nobody needs buckshot in the rear. HA HA HA No INTERNET either....geeze....well you best keep an eye out....a bear has been seen in southern MN....heard as close as Chester. OOOOO a bear rug for your room(add a disco ball and some neon low lighting and you''ll be a babe magnet) OR you could make another coat for that special lady! All joking aside....REALLY good to hear from ya and wish you all the best!!! Later Kurtie Boone not to be confused with Daniel Boone. A.K.A King of the Riceville Frontier chuck-the-chuck....go-get-a-bear or move up to bigger birds:) <he shoots and scores@huntingville.com> - Wednesday, May 25, 2005 0:34 AM CDT Kurtie McSquirty- Sing a song of 6 pents, A pocket full of pride. 4 and 20 black-birds baked into your mama's pie. Kurtie shot the last one, and it died. Now there ain't no black-birds left to make your mama's pie! Time to look for woodchucks, shoot birdes and watch them die, eat Andy's milk and donuts, but no time to come see me just to say Hi! So next time you're in town, and decide to act like a clown. Call up you know who to make their frown upside down!! Just look for me cuz i'll be around!! the black bird watcher <Hiding all the donuts from kurtie@so he dont get too fat.com> - Tuesday, May 24, 2005 9:29 PM CDT Hey Kurtis where are YOU! You finally getting to come home has been an answer to so many peoples prayers. Although we were all scared at the beginning, we knew God would bring you through this because he wouldn't have brought you to it if he knew you couldn't have handled it. Well the bell just rang, so I suppose I should end my entry before I get myself another tardy!:) Have a great day and a safe trip home! See you later!! Michelle Noble <mmnoble_06@hotmail.com> Riceville, IA USA - Friday, May 6, 2005 11:38 AM CDT Hey Dude~ What are you going to do... when you don't get to see us, boo hoo. Please keep in touch so we know how you and your family are doing. Syd was in St. Mary's on Tuesday, taken by ambulance that morning. She begged all day to call you, but I wanted her to wait until she saw all of her doctors to know how long she would be there. She had a short stay, thank goodness, but won't be back to school until tomorrow (Fri). Let's hope you BOTH stay out of there. It's the best place to be when you are sick, but going home is the ultimate! Stay well my friend! As I'm not a "fairy" I can't make your wish come true. Just remember if you cry, you'll make us all so blue. You have come so far without any fear, you'll have another prom next year. I know, it is not the same, but cancer does not play a fair game. You know what the doctors say isn't nice, but you have to follow their advice. Maybe we could rent a band and put on a dance at McDonald land? Can you imagine the crowd, we'd make you so proud. Just let us know what we can do, because everyone of us loves YOU. Aunt Jan <cielma@iowatelecom.org> Elma, Ia USA - Thursday, April 21, 2005 11:46 AM CDT Hi Kurt, I don't want this to sound like a lecture, but...you've come so far. The doctors are right. You'll miss one prom, but you won't be missing a nice long life. There is so much crap and infectious diseases going around and if you would happen to get one it could be very, very serious for you. Even though you're feeing great, your body is still adapting to your new marrow. Your immune system is so weak and it won't be able to fight off alot of things. I'm sorry that I'm being a "downer", but believe me, you don't want a stinkin' infection or virus to put your life at risk after you've done so well at kicking the leukemia! Don't be upset with your doctors, you have the best in the world and they know their stuff. They don't want to disappoint you, but they want you around, healthy, for a long, long time! Keep your chin up! We're always checking in on you! God Bless! Who am I? You can't possibly know it, so sit on back, and let those thoughts run. Your home is the Mac House, just for the time being. I never touched ormet the mouse named Mickey, but once went snow skiing. Your mind dreams 'bout a gobbler, so big his beard is a draggin' Thinking, "let my shot be steady, please not a wobbler, Then at Jim's house I'll be braggin'" One more clue, to you I provide, Its pretty hard, so dont toot your own horn, Inside your head the thoughts will collide, so ill sit right here, and eat some popcorn. Popcorn? only 'cuz rhyming with horn the word. Was that a clue, im not quite sure, I love a pack of good cheese curd,(s) and it looks to me, E's bone marrow sure was the cure. It took a long time, and strong will not to stop. We know its been boring, and the battle was hard. some even had to listen to your snoring, while the rest of us sent or typed many a card. Doctors, nurses, and interns alike, feared and suffered at the hand of your fun. until a sharp Doctor expecting a tike, said, deliver my baby, it has to be done. For being bored all the time, you sure live a lot more active or busy life than we do down here. I'm 99.9% sure of who it is. Beat you to it. Ode to the other poet: I think I've solved it, Wait so I can sit. I'm sure you own a car, and maybe have worked in a bar. Pretty sure you played ball, and yes you're pretty tall. You're right with the nickname, and oh what a game. You were right, You gave it all your might. You rhyme with someone in the Kruger family, and no it wasn't with Cory. I don't think it's Joy, or for that matter nor Dr. Toy Boy. You like to feed the fish, and it wasn't the right dish. Funny you mentioned the TEACHERS, and I've seen you sitting the bleachers. Don't think it was Logan, although, you're right, it was a good slogan. I'm sure I talked to you in a bar in New Haven, or am I mistaken? Yeah that's right Kurtie...beat you to it. The sun is high, maybe a kite I should go fly! Was sitting out in the breeze, but came inside for it was bees that I could see. Funny how the other poet mentioned the pumpkin pie. Wonder why! I just fancied my taste buds with a pumpkin bar. That's my favorite. No I didn't bake it. Uh-oh! Oh-no! Was that a clue, at least I'm not drinking a Mt. Dew! Oh sweet Kurtie, who can't get dirty! So many clues, what will you do? So read this one again and again, and maybe just then, you will see, who brings you such glee. Although you know, it's not just me. Long time no see or talk:) Sounds like everything is going magnificent, which is good to hear. I am hoping to get up there this weekend, but I know that I will see you NEXT weekend if not this one, so we'll see what works out. That's too bad about the golf thing. The one thing you thought you were going to be able to handle - not even strenuous on the body - and they tell you NO. Oh well, it's obviously for the better! The nurse PRACTITIONER (noticed you had some spelling problems) probably knows her stuff. Now you don't have to worry about me and my 64 showing you up! ha ha.. yeah, some of us struggled at the meet tonight, myself included. Oh well! ANYWAYS -hopefully we will see you this weekend, if not we'll see you at PROM! Take care of yourself:) Take it easy! Always- *Kayla Rose* Kayla Christensen <peachkayla05@hotmail.com> Riceville, IA - Thursday, April 14, 2005 9:05 PM CDT Ola, senor Kurtie have you ever seen the play:Bye Bye Birdie?....you sound a little glum...my fellow Wildcat chum. They say no grass or greens? So how about a miniature routine. You can "put put" indoors... if you golf on the floor. It may seem a bit odd but you can still work out your bod. All the girlies will sing....oh what a swing. Ma Kruger can play too....keeping a watchful eye on you. Lots things to do... so please don't get blue....put on your shoe and just start a look-n...before you know it excitement will start cookin. If all else fails and boredom prevails...flip a coin calling: heads.. no...I think tails....winner goes for free gummies...some hams& clams at the local... Sam's you'll fill up on samples for your tummies while browsing for yummies! Oh, and poet #2 you rhyme so good too! My hats off to you! Hmmm...I wonder if it's genetic cause Kurt's also quite poetic....nah must be a coincident an isolated incident.Could it be your brother? or Kurt's own dear mother? It could be Ms. Crippen or possibly that guy name Scotty Pippen. What do you think? Mr. Pigs-in-a-Blanket with coleslaw on the side <it's all good-food@Jokiesmurf.com> - Thursday, April 14, 2005 6:49 PM CDT Mr. Kurtie Pie, Oh yes it is me, I couldn't help but read, your journal entry. You did see me at your benefit, you were wearing quite the outfit. We talked and walked, and I think we both shed tears. But as we all know, there was so many that showed, to help show their support, and that we're happy to report. You had asked how I know, that you want to go, to school to become a DNR Guy. You shouldn't have to ask, since afterall, Riceville is small. News travels fast, so you shouldn't gasp. The weekend is near, people will come from afar to greet YOU, the big T.V. Star. so what are you plans, you the big man? A walk down the street? Or sitting on your seat? Maybe a stroll in the mall, or staring at the wall? Maybe a friend or two will know, that you probably want to see a show? Whatever your delight, just get some rest and might, and know we all are thinking of you tonight. For THIS journey down the road called life will soon come to an end, where you'll find yet another journey to spend, down another road. We hope that journey will lead you to happiness, where there won't be such a mess. Hope it'll be, just another walk in the park. that'salltonight <unlesstheresanitch@rhymeville.com> - Thursday, April 14, 2005 6:45 PM CDT Mr. Kurtie, What? You can't get dirty? SpOse that means you can't be laying around the woods and fields stalking the poor deer and turkeys. So no Golfing either, guess you better stick to going to the theater. Since you asked nicely, I'll answer one question percisely. You wonder if there's one or two, there is two. Spose that could be a clue. But now for something new. The sun is bright, the day is just right, lounging around the house, just trying to clean for spring. Does this mean I'm a girl? Oh what a world if all males cleaned! But this still doesn't give me up! I wish I had a truck, then I could be cool like all those around me. Maybe soon you'll see, that you're not as bright as you used to be! So it was a tutor you had to see. Was it Math, English, or science oh yippie. While you study away, I sit and watch the grass sway on this very beautiful spring day. I could pick up a book, but then I'd have to stop and look, since there's something more exciting on T.V. Wonder what it shall be! Either ESPN or CNN. Maybe a little Outdoors channel never hurt. Lifetime is always good to. Either way, what can I say. There's nothing to fill my day. All the time in the world, and still you don't know if I'm a girl! With out any further ado, I'll say tata! Who know's, maybe you can learn the cha-cha! So long for now, I'm not leaving with a frown. Hey look it's a clown. So, go back to work and guess at this game...I think you'll be surprised if you figure out my name. I feel another poem coming on real soon ....stay tuned tonight! MR. PEANUTBUTTER&JELLY <give-me-a-break@jokiesmurf.com> - Wednesday, April 13, 2005 3:44 PM CDT Mr Kurtie Why the harshness? Its just a game. Such shame, although you don't have the name. Since there are two others with rhymes, and at different times, you may think your done, but you may only have one. So you like to play Football & NASCAR Racing, I'm just glad it's not the girls you're chasing. Afterall it was Michelle you took out, AGAIN. She must be a nice Northern Bell for you. In a couple weeks, it will be you two that we all see in the spot light. Because afterall, it will be prom night. A Fancy tux, a flashy gown, at least you'll be out on the town, and not back at the Donald's Mansion. It'll be a great night full of fashion. Lights, Music, and lots of Dancin'. Lets just hope you stay on your feet when you go to greet, ma and pa noble. I bet mamma Sheryl hopes you two stay out of trouble. So just get her there and back on time, or you may have plenty of time, to make many more rhymes. Since your pretty little bell, may be stuck in a shell, under lock and key. Then Michelle you will not see. Well it's time to sign off and say good-bye. I'll give you one more try......since there's two and not just one. See if you can beat us both. guess again <it'sagame@passthetime.com> - Wednesday, April 13, 2005 3:39 PM CDT We check everyday to see how you are progressing, are happy to see that things are looking up. (Even boredom is a positive indication .) It's a beautiful spring day here in Northern Iowa, but a bit cool. The rain has greened-up the grass and burst some of the buds on the tree. (For the English teachers among us, I'm not sure "green-up the grass" is correct, but that's what I was thinking, so it came out) Anyway, its a great spring day. We think of you (and Rickie Ring) often and we continue the prayers. The Lord has been good to both of you, and, as we pray, will be in the future. Hang in there, Kiddo. Hey...do you think my daughter is safe going to the Osage prom this weekend with one of those wild Riceville boys?? Shirley Crippen <sjkcrippen@yahoo.com> Osage, IA USA - Tuesday, April 12, 2005 8:52 AM CDT Kurtie Pie, Oh what a task, for the mystery poet to be unmasked! With all the time on your hand, oh wait! I forgot, you are a one man band! Back to the guessing game. What a treat it will be, to see if you get the right name! So there's a hot sister? Oh boy, lets hope she doesn't have a mister! So you went to the show, and took the girl you SURE know, then why did you need the nudie girl magazine? Mother Nancy should have kicked that skinny little bootie, then maybe you'd see, that your pretty little lady will be all that you need! I'm sure your stay in the Ronald McDonald Mansion, gives you plenty of time, to practice your dancin', Afterall, prom is on it's way. Tuxedos you know, and ball gown dresses, it's bound to be a night full of blesses. So with this said, I'm heading to bed. Afterall I'm not a match for the other talented poets, but at least I tried, and didn't cry. Grilled Cheese and soup, or maybe blackeyed peas, I don't even know who that could be. But it's alright, we're all happy and trite, as long as there's no fight,I gave it all my might. Diana Kruger <radkruger@comcast.net> Roseville, Ca USA - Monday, April 11, 2005 7:21 PM CDT Hi Kurt! Dr. Caudill, here. (Just because I'm in Florida this month doesn't mean I can't keep up with you!). This is just a note to tell you how glad I am to hear you're doing so great! I hope you continue to feel better and stronger each day. Say "hello" to your family for me! Jonathan Caudill - Monday, April 11, 2005 4:47 PM CDT Kurt, Things sound real good ! The big part of the battle is over. Now the key word is "PATIENCE." Just remember during your times of boredom that if you remain patient then your days of being a" patient "will come to an end. Also, stay away from those nudie magazines so we don't have to invoke the school's "good conduct" rule against you. "FIGHT HARD EVERY DOWN !
