ENOUGH TO WAKE US UP... THEN NIKKI'S NEW LITTLE PUPPY FOR
SURE WILL BARK TO WAKE THE REST OF US UP IF ANYONE TRIES

NIKKI HAS BEEN FIGHTING ANOTHER VIRUS, AND HAS BEEN HOME
SICK IN BED FOR THE PAST 6-7 DAYS. SHE HAS CLINIC
APPOINTMENTS ON THURSDAY, AND I AM SURE HER COUNTS WILL BE
LOW WITH THIS VIRUS. SHE HOPES TO GET BETTER SOON AND

Just checking in to see how you are doing. I bet you are gald that school is done for the summer!
Tomorrow is our last day of school. Kyle is glad that he won't have any homework for about 90 days!
Nikki has been busy working and enjoying life. She doesn't have to return to the clinic until July 3rd.

Hello Kurt!
Hope you guys didn't get any snow/sleet/rain yesterday! We lucked out and only had the sleet/rain during the day. Last night it snowed about 1-2 inches, but not enough to have school closed or 2 hours late!!
It is always so good to hear how great you are doing! We think about you all the time!
Nikki goes back friday for a recheck on her platelets. Kyle has a doctor appointment too. He wasn't happy to have to go on a NO School day. I think he would have rather me made the appointment on a school day so he could get out of a day of school! lol

I can't believe that it has been 3 years already. I still remember You, Nikki and Myself roaming the hallways in the hospital and causing a lot of noise. I passed my 3 year diagnosis on January 5th.. 2 hours late this morning. It must have snowed in

going to get 7" and maybe NOT SCHOOL. But we only had
1-2 inches. That is ok too, as we are all ready for spring!

It amazes me how people who have been through this terrible disease come back stronger than ever and are SO supportive of others having to go through it. I admire your strength greatly. Sorry to hear that you have been a little under the weather with a sore throat & cold. There is so much crud going around everywhere right now. Once it gets colder outside it will freeze all those germs!
Nikki had a virus a few weeks ago, and they think that is why her platelets dropped so fast. But she is feeling 100% better and thursday her counts bounced back!
So you got a job at Best Buy! We have bought quite a bit of stuff from there! Big screen tv, computer, lap top, Bose system, car stereo, guitar hero, video systems and many video games! I always told Kyle to get a job there, as he always wants something from there.
Take GOOD CARE of yourself, and we hope your cold/sore throat goes away real sooooooon!! We will say an extra prayer for you to Get Better Soon~

It was great to hear that everything is going good for you. Nikki had her appointment on thursday and her counts are doing good too. She is still having to go once a month.
It has been very warm and humid the past few days. I think it is supposed to rain 1-2 inches tonight. We don't really need the rain but what do you do about that.

Guess what, I had a baby boy in June. But don't worry, I didn't go into labor in a patient's room, though I could have since I worked until my due date :)

Just stopping by to see if you had any new updates. Nikki had a busy weekend as her frieds band played Friday night, and then last night she got to go back stage to a concert in Rochester. She will have some up dates on that once she gets up and works on her caringbridge. Kyle is getting his wisdom teeth out Aug. 25th and is NOT happy about that! The new store that the kids work at will be opening Aug. 15th. They both have been busy the past few weeks helping the owner get things in order. Another hot and humid day! Kyle is finally starting to feel better after
being sick this past week with tonsillitis. He
will be going back tomorrow to see the doctor

Nikki got a job that she will be starting next week at
American Family Insurance. She will have her own desk,
computer, office, & phone! She will be working 4 days
a week. No nights/holidays/weekends!
I hope is starts to get warmer out soon. Last weekend
we got our pool out and filled. The water is still cold.
We usually don't put it up until the middle of June,
but thought we would get a head start on it this year!

Looks like mom and dad are dragging the cold weather down with them. Yesterday it was 87 at the house, now its only suppose to be in the low 50s the rest of the week with chance for frost this weekend. Nikki started her new job this week and is really

foot swells up some, but now she will have a few

We are off to the clinic/hospital treatments today.

is DONE with all treatments!!
Our football team lost again last night!! They just can
not get the ball to go in the right direction this year!

Just stopping by to say Hi! Kyle went to the Home Coming
game tonight. They WON!! (finally, as it is the first
game they have one this year). Afterwards they had the
big bon fire and the dance. It is almost midnight, so I
am sure he will be calling soon for a ride home.
We had a little scare tonight, as some man over at the
rest area had a shot gun and shells. He left his truck
and was heading on foot EAST...That is towards us. Then
they tracked him going WEST. The helicopter was out look-
ing for him...Not sure what all was/is going on at this
point..but I hope they find him before I have to go out
and get Kyle!
Nikki has another cold, and not feeling to good the last
two days. Seems like everytime she goes to work, she gets
sick 3 days later. Not sure what she will end up doing.

The offer still stands for me to teach you how to change a diaper-- but Lucy is 20 months and almost potty trained. (in my dreams, I know, I'm not rushing it, it's not worth it) Anyway, you think peeing into a cup is hard. Try peeing into a relatively huge potty when your feet don't hit the ground, in an icky women's public toilet. Now THAT is a challenge. For Lucy, and for me who's trying to help her.
Sounds like you're up to lots of exciting stuff as usual-- give a big hello to your family for me. And eat some falafel in your college cafeteria. hee

So how was your first day in college? We were glad
to see you had some time to update your caringbridge.
We are always wondering what you are up to!
Today was Kevin's b-day. We all took a 2005
Silver Convertible Mustang for a 2 hour test drive.
Each one of us got 30 minutes of test driving. We took the car back, while we went out for lunch to decide if we were
going to buy it or not. While having lunch the sales man
called us to see what we decided, as he had someone else
stop in to buy it. We thought it was one of those "sales"
pitches to get you to decide on the spot...Well I guess
the car wasn't meant for us...as when we drove back...some
other lady just bought it and down the road went the
little silver car...Oh well...At least we had fun trying
to burn around the corners with if for the few hours
we did have it!

I know you would like a job with Covenant, but I bet there would be some aide positions with the AEA down there. I guess it would depend on the hours of your classes. Whaz up lately...You will have to

JUNE 30th...and it now is July 12Th
Nikki is busy trying to learn some new
songs on her guitar...taking orders to
make bracelets. She will go to work
this friday for a few hours.
Kyle has a game in Hayfield this evening.
His driving 2 hours tomorrow....YIKES!!!
Kevin and Kyle have been busy working under
his car the last few nights.
Sounds like the HOT & HUMID stuff is on the
way...not to bad yet...but we turned on the
AC and have the pool up and ready!

today! hope that all of your appointments went good for
ya and everything turned out okay! we're up at the PITC
right now waiting for some of my chemo to get up here and
then we'll be able to finally go home. they had to take me
off the steroids because that's what was causing my ankle
to weaken, so now i'm not supposed to take them for the
next 6 months...which will be nice because then i won't
have to be dealing with the high blood sugars for a while

Well the big day is finally almost here for you (tomorrow). Wow !! the time has flew by for us parents, know you said you couldnt wait, but I have a feeling that you have had some other thoughts lately with things coming to a close in this chapter of your life . It is a big world out there and you need to decide how you are going to leave your mark and follow your destiny. Thoughts and Prayers for you and please remember this is going to be hard on mom and dad, with the empty nest situation they are coming into with you going off to school and life ahead and that doesnt mean coming home when out of food or need clean clothes either. Just think of all the new things you are going to learn to do besides going to school to learn your destiny in life, like cooking, cleaning, dishes ,clothes and you get the drift. You cant eat at pizza hut every day . Ha ha.We will miss watching you play football and basketball. Love to you and your family.

I suppose you use the sore arms from shots when you hit the golf ball wrong!!! That can only last for a day or two you know.What shots did you get to start this process? Hope golf is going good for you!Gees the whole week off of school. Poor turkeys, have they been in your dirveway again or now in hiding. Well tell everyone Happy Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's. Have fun dying the eggs remember the little ones don't serve as your art project needing to be brightly colored, no blue or red Logan, it is the eggs you are to color. How was the movie?? We are planning to watch that
this weekend.
Have you done anything with MAKE A WISH?? Nikki and
Kristina have been on 102.5 almost everyday. The radio
station had them talk about thier WISH.

We go to the clinic wednesday for blood counts and
thursday for the long spinal day. I know Nikki is not
looking forward to that, as she has been feeling really
good and hates to have all that chemo again.

How's the ankle?? sounds like you have been having way too much fun!! Well I want to put my imput in on your college choices and give you a hand.. I think you should go to WALDORF!! haha .. jk..that's where i am going its an awesome school! Iowa Central was where my mom went to school.. she is arguing with me saying you should go there! I disagree.. haha just kidding.. those are both good schools.. Or you could go to hawkeye and be with a ton of Osage people next year! Anyway, hope your ankle is feeling better..
