COLE JIPSEN
Welcome:This page is an effort to help keep as many friends and family up to speed on Cole's recovery as possible. Journal Tuesday, May 12, 2009 6:56 PM CDT 3 YEARS!!!!! It seems like such a mile stone. Cole is still in the hospital. It is looking like he should get out tomorrow. I never imagined that in 3 years we would be celebrating his transplant rebirthday at UNMC let alone in the same room that he had the transplant. He has come so far yet has along ways to go. It has been an interesting journey to say the least. We have met some really great people, made some new friends and hopefully come out alot stronger. I know that I say it every year but we really could not have done it with out all of you. So Thanks Again helping make this difficult journey easier. They still don't know why Cole was sick. They are thinking that it started out viral and then flared up the GVHD. He seems to be in really good spirits. (But most kids I know would be happy after finding out that they get to start summer vacation 3 weeks early) Due to some construction at Cole's school he will not be returning this year. Better to error on the safe side. As always Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers and for checking on us. Hospital Information:
