Connecting Family and Friends When Health Matters Most

CaringBridge Enlists “Gunny” as Military Spokesperson

R. Lee “Gunny” Ermey, retired U.S. Marine Corps Drill Instructor and veteran actor, is taking on a new role as the “Voice of Hope” for CaringBridge. CaringBridge offers injured or ill servicemen and women and their families “Gunny Approved” personal websites featuring unique military-style backgrounds and images.

CaringBridge websites offer convenient, 24-hour access from any computer with an Internet connection for military personnel to connect with their loved ones during a health crisis. After a combat wound or injury, setting up a CaringBridge website is the fastest, easiest way to keep in touch with family, friends and those still deployed in the field. It also provides a place for military personnel to stay informed about the medical treatment of a loved one back home.

“As a retired Marine, who is still very much involved with the military, and who has seen first-hand what war does to young men and women physically and psychologically, I'm passionate about CaringBridge - I believe it is crucial for our wounded military personnel to be able to communicate with their loved ones, friends and colleagues all around the world, especially during their recovery. It not only relieves pressure on those undergoing medical treatment, but it also allows families, comrades and friends to help.”
