You weathered one terrible storm the last week, its great to hear that you are becoming well and that your able to think more clearly again.

I was thinking that some people might wonder why god would allow such a bad thing to happen to one of his wonderful children. When I think about how many people have and will come together towards god during your suffering, its a great testimony to the awesome power of god to change peoples lives forever. He makes beauty from ugliness. It reminds me of Matthew 25:35. Take heart my dear friend, for what has happen in the last few weeks and what will happen during chemo, more people will come to god because of the suffering that you endure.

Me - I'm more quiet about things, but when I have my talks with God on my drive in to work each morning, you're the primary topic of conversation. Truly this situation is a bummer and I'm seriously peeved (I'd use harsher language in a more private forum) but at the end of the day, God is either in charge or He is not. So.... surgery is 10/9.... you go girl....get that stuff out of there....get on with chemo...sounds easy....but we both know sometimes things sound alot easier than they are..... BUT with GOD walking that walk with you AND with your strong faith.... your wonderful upbeat spirit.... you
will do just fine!! GOD IS IN CONTROL!! I think back on the very first time I heard you on the radio and I KNEW GOD had tuned my radio for that "soul" purpose... it was sometime during my early o.c. days....not sure if I was still going thru chemo or had just finished....BUT nonetheless....you gave me such hope....your positive attitude was exactly what I needed... I didn't know another soul who had been diagnosed with o.c. and to hear you with your strong faith...all you shared helped me so much!! Thank you so much....not sure I have ever really thanked you for all that..... Now.... you just get on with what you have to do and know that we are all there with you in prayerful spirit!!!! Hey Sheila and Jimmy. It seems like I haven't talked to you guys in a while, but I want you to know I still think of you and pray for you each day. I was just thinking back to the day Heidi and I came to see you at the hospital back when you were first diagnosed with cancer and I remember you asking that we pray for a miracle. Then I remember when I prayed with you there and I asked God for a miracle, I asked in all sincerity, but I didn't know with all certainty that He would answer according to our desire. But God has been gracious, He has blessed more than we asked and I, along with you, give Him the praise for it all. This story of yours will be one I am sure I will share with others in my ministry in the days ahead. I have witnessed first hand God's healing power. It has helped my faith to grow and I know it has helped others as well. I know this has not been easy for you and your family but we have seen God help you through it. I pray that the upcoming year will be a great year for all of you and that God will continue to use you in a special way as you help others to learn about early detection of cancer and as you minister to others helping them to learn to trust in God. God bless you and your family. We love you guys.

I pray for all the doctors and nurses that will take care of you and I pray a hedge of protection for your family as they go about their daily routine.....and for safe travel to and from the hospital. You are loved! By the way, my daughter was diagnosed with ovarian, cervical and uterine cancer in November of 2000....at the age of 26. Hi Sheila: I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers daily. I am living proof that God answers prayers and performs miracles. Last January I suffered from an aneurysm and aortic dissection and had to be airlifted to Houston in critical condition for emergency surgery. The only reason I am here today is because God answered so many prayers from my family, friends, and people I did not even know. He wasn't ready for me yet and he obviously isn't ready for you. Sheila - Kevin has kept us updated and praying for you. I keep thinking that miracles come in many packages, some of which are just daily life.....maybe not healing in the way we want or think of but maybe the big miracle is when He takes us to be with Him. That's really hard for me to think about since there is not the answer we are always looking for. We'll be praying for Susie too and maybe she will receive another miracle - more than her salvaged marriage. Cancer is no doubt the most dreaded word we know. This website of yours just keeps us aware that there are so many out there who need our prayers and I think it is much better to have a real name and circumstances than to pray for all the cancer patients everywhere....but that is just me speaking. You can tell that I am the list maker, cause kind of person. But to end, I have been blessed by the priviledge to pray for you and to know of your improvements. Hey Sheila - Just read your journal entry to Gary. We are both touched that your "light" is always shining, even in the check-out lane at the Wal-Mart. I love what's happening with people asking about your hair. You're amazing. The thing with negative thoughts is this: Satan is always gonna shoot those thoughts at you, but it's your choice to entertain them or not. Obviously, getting those thoughts OUT of your head is a top priority. And you've found the best way to do it - let us share that burden and chase away those fears. I love you very much.

Hey Sis, Things have been a little hectic lately, but don't think for a moment you have escaped my thoughts and prayers. I've just had my hands full with my daughter Keesha's miracle and Scott & Jodie's surgeries. I can't wait to see your new hair style. I'll just bet you be gorgeous any way you cut your hair. I certainly hope you don't mind being used a bit. For the past month++++, every time I would start getting down about Keesha, I thought of you and your beautiful spirit and God used you to lift me up and encourage me. Thank you for being you. Most important thing to remember is to keep the faith and never stop believing in what the Lord will do. I have a 14 year old daughter, who has survived Lukemia and fought the battle since she was 4 months old. I never gave up on her, faith and prayers. Your in my prayers.

Hi Kelli, I too just had a battle with cancer. I took my last round of Chemo and soon will start Radiation. You did a wonderful job describing how blessed we really are. Every day I thank God for the good things in my life. Focusing on the positive keeps us in good spirits. I actually have had some fun with my bald head, laughter does wonders for us too. You hang in there, and keep the great attitude and remember rubbing a bald head is suppose to be good luck!!!! So rub it every morning!!!!

Boy, can I relate to your feelings and thoughts as you have lost eyebrows, lashes as well as head hair. That's when I REALLY felt bald! Be encouraged, though. Tomorrow it will be 15 weeks since my last chemo and my eyelashes and brows are thicker and yes, prettier, than they were before. My hair is still only about 1/2" long, but it is soft and dark and covers my whole scalp, so that is an improvement! Don't beat up on yourself t
